Twinklestar2 · 30/04/2015 19:42

Welcome rainbow!!

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 30/04/2015 20:24

Welcome rainbow!

So far today:
Breakfast - mini salmon & avocado roll
Lunch - big salad (with roast veg, beans, nuts...), bowl of tomato soup
Snack - lentil crisps
Dinner - low fat cheese ravioli, loads of veg and salad with extra light mayo, yoghurt
Water, tea & coffee

Managed to drag my sorry, good for nothing, hungover rear-end out for a 5k run which was quite a feat I thought.

Now I just need to avoid munching through the rest of the evening.. Will drink decaf tea to distract myself and have a small supper later before getting a much needed early
night.

bangersmashandbeans · 30/04/2015 20:30

Hi Rainbow!

Today's food:
Two pancakes
Beef noodle salad
Pasta with pesto

Snacked on one slice of pizza nicked from kids tea and a low cal ice lolly

Ran 9k this morning and did a 45 min toning class.Smile

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 30/04/2015 20:33

Wow bangers that is impressive!

bangersmashandbeans · 30/04/2015 21:49

Thanks penguin, starting to actually like running! Not braved more than 10k yet though so that's the next step.

Twinklestar2 · 30/04/2015 22:38

Well done everyone you are doing really well with the food and exercise!

Number one rule of dieting - don't bake a bleeding cake!! On the plus side it's finished Confused

Menu

Crumpets and scrambled egg
Fishfingers sandwich, apple, cereal bar for lunch
Dinner was chicken, potatoes and loads of veg - peas, sweet corn, carrot, brocolli, green beans and parsnip Grin
Snacked on cake, custard and sugar free jelly.

Ran 3 miles Smile

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 01/05/2015 06:48

I got to about 10pm last night before caving Sad only munched on veg sticks so it could have been worse but still not pleased. It's just tiredness and stress I know - need to learn my lesson and go to bloody bed instead! Had a supper of oats & banana as I knew I'd wake up hungry otherwise.

Joycey29 · 01/05/2015 06:54

Hi all & welcome Rainbow!
On school residential so good choice limited and I m starving due to fresh air!
Hoping bodyboarding and rafting counteract yesterday's cooked brekkie, huge picnic and lovely wraps for tea!

Can't help this week, back on it next week!

Oh and I have to bake a cake tonight!!!!

bangersmashandbeans · 01/05/2015 07:27

Joycey that sounds like exhausting fun and I reckon you're earning a few good meals!

DH has just text saying he'd like us to have a proper meal together tonight with a few glasses of wine as he's been working so much - who am I to refuse!

Off to the gym this morning so will have a healthy day in preparation for a slightly naughty evening! Got to live a little right?!

Oh and have a girls night out tomorrow - we know how that's going to go don't we!!!

readyforsunshine · 01/05/2015 09:15

Penguin I think you did really well considering your hangover, see my hangover day above! Have fun bangers, all that exercise, almost at target, that's why we're doing it so that we an enjoy the good times with out the fall out.

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 01/05/2015 10:04

Stress at work plus donuts on the office - have already caved (twice!). Help!!!

FarOverTheRainbow · 01/05/2015 11:14

Thank you everyone Smile

Me and DD have been out on an early morning stroll and bike ride for her for a good 3 miles while she sat on the bike and I pushed it

readyforsunshine · 01/05/2015 12:29

Penguin is it because you're hungry perhaps that your resolve is weak? I would try to take protein in to fill me up, drink lots of water & try to focus on a 'nutritious treat' at a time that I'd decided instead. Much harder to resist if you're hungry & stressed. Can't do anything about it for today but maybe try to have a plan for another day? Remind yourself why you're changing to a healthy eating plan & if it's too much focus on 1 new thing each week, good luck!

lavendersun · 01/05/2015 12:38

I am doing this ... only just seen this thread. Weight increased by just over two stone thanks to steroids, I expected it to fall off when I stopped taking them (before Xmas actually Blush, but it hasn't. I tried 5:2 which I think is great but I really struggled with fast days lately so I decided to just to lots more exercise, track calories, be sensible and eat what I want to within reason.

I think that exercise is the key for me. Today's menu banana, greek yoghurt and berries with coffee. An Amy's wheat free burrito for lunch because I found one in the freezer (only 256 calories apparently) and not sure what for dinner but I am having a glass of prosecco!

45 minutes on my cross trainer and a 40 minute walk with the dog and DD tonight.

MFP tells me that I will lose a stone in five weeks if I exercise at 30 mins on cross trainer and an hour walk a day. I walk anyway but have got back on my cross trainer for a few days in a row this week for the first time since I was ill really.

I will not be fat on my birthday in September.

FarOverTheRainbow · 01/05/2015 13:01

I no I need to increase the amount of water I drink so today I brought a fridge jug type thing that holds just under two litres and filled it with lemon and limes to give it a bit more flavour and aim to drink that today

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 01/05/2015 13:41

Thank you for the support ready Smile

I wasn't hunger this morning (already had eggs for breakfast!), in all likelihood it was exhaustion. 9th day at work without a day off (or 12th not counting days off sick) and came in this morning to all hell breaking loose in the office. It's calmed down a bit now so will breathe deeply and drink water.

readyforsunshine · 01/05/2015 13:50

Poor you penguin. Just goes to show what a direct impact stress & lack of sleep has on our eating habits. Hope things improve soon for you. I hate when I'm doing well, life derails me & im back where I started! The trick is as you say, drink lots, take care of yourself & get back to it x
Welcome lavender!

Twinklestar2 · 01/05/2015 20:43

Welcome lavender!!

Today's menu involved an Indian takeaway - husbands choice. I'll have to run over the weekend and have a good weekend!

Menu
Cereal bar, fruit, latte

Chicken salad for lunch and then dessert at Creams. I had the lightest thing I could find on the menu! Crepe with strawberries and maple syrup and half a scoop of ice cream

Chicken curry, half a portion of rice, naan, 1 meat samosa and a tandoori lamb chop. Lovely!!

Snacked on a bag of quavers

bangersmashandbeans · 02/05/2015 00:07

Welcome to lavender.
Penguin don't get downhearted - the worst thing you can do is shrug your shoulders and think 'that's that then' and dive into a pile of biscuits. Write today off and start again tomorrow!

My menu today was poor to say the least!
Greek yog and banana
Pain au chocolate Blush
Half a bag of crisps Blush
Few chips Blush
Burger (naice one) for dinner Blush
Two small glasses of wine Blush
Oooops!!!

lavendersun · 02/05/2015 07:26

Thanks everyone - I had herbal tea instead of prosecco last night Shock, not sure what is happening here. Onwards and upwards. I actually weighed the two pieces of bread I sliced for toast (weekend treat) this morning. It is all going very well.
