Needing to lose 4st+ - support thread!

Since I want somewhere to track my progress I'm gonna do it here and have it act as a support thread for anyone else who wants to join me - because it certainly feels daunting and we can use all the help we can get!

I am 5 foot nothing and post DS (almost 6 months) I weigh (as of this morning) 95.2kg which I believe is around 14.5stone, but I avoid using st and lbs as I find it triggering. I would like to be back down to my pre-baby weight of circa 80kg by BiL's wedding in June. So...

HippyJess
SW: 95.2kg
GW1: 80kg (June)
GW2: 68kg (September)
UGW: 58kg (March 2016)

Short Term Goal: Do Davina's 15 Minute Fit every day for a week, starting today. I did it, and some of the easy versions were hard :( which is why I need to keep going.

Hope someone out there will want to join me! Hoping to post once a day to keep myself on track :) now off I go to make myself an omelette and veggies for lunch!

vicki I've been trying to stick to healthy regime. Guess I just am feeling a bit miffed that my scales are in a rut. I have never done a specific diet, and just tried to cut out crap, and eat a bit less.
I think you are right. I'll just kick myself if I get pissed off with 5:2.
sfb thank you. I do like walking. Wanted to see if I could go faster Grin

Doctormummy1 · 09/09/2015 12:39

My scales are a whole 8 pounds out. Brand new too... That's what you get for being at the wrong end :(

raisin3cookies · 09/09/2015 13:20

My entire adult life, I have only been below 12st for a hot second when I went obsessive with WW at 19 and started feeling faint because I wasn't eating my excercise points or whatever it's called. Gained all that weight back when I gave it up (as usual).

I was 12.5st or so when I got pregnant with my eldest, so that's my current goal. Kind of hard to have that as a goal when I don't weigh myself tho... going off of measurements and how well my rings fit.

Due to dental appointments and such, I didn't break my daily fast until after 1pm instead of my usual 12pm. Scarfed down last night's dinner until I felt a bit too full, but I didn't eat much at our evening meal (I tend to eat with the family even if not hungry) so I don't feel overstuffed tonight. I call that a behavioural win; I would have behaved much differently a few months ago.

My bras are getting too big. This is a bit of a hassle, as I am large chested and need scaffolding from Bravissimo. Hoping to find something cheap and cheerful in Debenhams instead or something.

Also - why do my boobs have to deflate as well? I practically need to roll them up like a scroll to fit them into bras. sigh

it is weigh in tonight, I hope the scales are kind to me, I have tried so hard this week and deserve something...

DowntownFunk · 10/09/2015 11:04

Hi, I've lots to catch up on on this thread.

Vicki's WW leader is wrong to bollock her for staying the same. Sometimes it just happens like that. The bollocking to some people could cause a big setback.

Hope you get a result tonight vicki but if it doesn't happen keep going, it will happen in time. It's a marathon not a sprint.

My weigh in isn't until tomorrow but I'm either the same or very slightly down, and I'm fine with that.

LostMyBaubles · 10/09/2015 15:04

Sorry not been on for a while.
I have had 1 bad day and that was a birthday party. I had 1 slice of pizza and shared cake with dh.

Ive had 1 cup of tea all day, picked 3/4 chips up from kids plate and sip of diet coke and have been on the go. Dropping and picking kids up etc.
dont actually feel hungry and I know once I start eating I will full like im starving.

Been on the scales again and ive lost 2/3lb since last Monday. Not that clear as couldnt see on the scales properly lol

its eldests birthday today and will have some birthday cake and nandos today.
His cake is dairy soya wheat nut egg free as he has allergies

Stellar67 · 10/09/2015 17:18

Good Luck Vicki and Downtown. Baubles I know what you mean. I daren't look at the fridge as I might inhale it. I really should just have some water but after the shit day I've had I just want wine!

vickibee · 10/09/2015 20:06

Good news I have lost 1.5 pounds this week, so 40.5 in total, I am so desperate to get to that 3 stone mark. At least it is a loss.

Stellar67 · 10/09/2015 21:52

Well done vicki that's brilliant.
My throat/cold is really pissing me off now. I blame illness and stress for my eating.

Stellar67 · 10/09/2015 21:53

Although I know it's all in my head. Sad

I always scoff when I have a minor cold, it is comforting and maybe your body needs more to fight the bugs. Concentrate on getting better

I am virtually tea total and only have a drink on special occasions like weddings etc, I used to turn to chocolate when stressed and that is why I am on this thread! SFB the chicle meal sounds delicious

LondonHuffyPuffy · 11/09/2015 15:23

Belated hello to baubles (and happy birthday to your DS for yesterday) and doctor

Sigh. I am up and down again. I am mid-cycle, again this appears to have both messed with my motivation (constantly hungry) and my weight (despite mostly not giving in to hunger pangs and cravings, weight yoyo-ing dramatically).

vicki - well done, you're doing really well

Mmm that chicken dish sounds lush, brains. Hope you're feeling a bit better

LondonHuffyPuffy · 11/09/2015 15:26

Oh. I just remembered a NSV that made me Grin the other day...

For the first time EVER I can wear DH's jeans! I am thinner now than when I met him, he is slightly bigger and wears his jeans loose anyway.. but still! These are 32W 32L Levis. I don't know what that would translate to in women's sizes? But it made me Grin made him Shock and [hmmm] in case I actually do ever borrow his clothes (he's precious about his jeans)

LondonHuffyPuffy · 11/09/2015 15:27

Hmm obvs

LostMyBaubles · 11/09/2015 15:31

London well done!
The clothes that I couldnt wear ive taken out of the wardrobe to try on and I no longer look heavily pregnant lol they are a little loose! Very happy with that

going on holiday next month and I was worried I wouldn't be able to fit in the plane seats or the seat belt wouldn't do or something.

Blush

raisin3cookies · 11/09/2015 22:03

Am taking an internet break; best wishes to all. xx

Stellar67 · 12/09/2015 04:49

Well done London and Baubles.
still got this cold. Only crisps and hot toddies suffice. Not quite diet fodder. But I kind of copied SFB's dinner yesterday!
Hope everyone has good weekends. Smile
