So, I'm changing my life on Monday...

Well, that's what I hope. Am currently overweight. I am tall so can carry it quite well, but I always feel very flabby and am uncomfortable with my size. I have lost weight successfully before so I know I can do it, but have lacked a bit of motivation and willpower in the last year. Gradually my weight has crept up and trying on clothes yesterday was not fun!!

My plan is this:
Food diary - am a mindless eater
Drink more water - tend to eat when I am actually thirsty
Move more - this will be the biggest change. I work FT now and move much less within my everyday life. I now need to factor in exercise as it is no longer part of my day to day life.

I would like to lose 14 pounds in total, but am going to start with 7 pounds as my first goal!

So, anyone care to join me?

Evening everyone, successful day here! Stuck to 1250 cals as logged on Mfp and don't feel hungry.

Poached eggs on wholemeal toast for breakfast, low fat sandwich for lunch, baked potato with sweet corn and tomato salad for dinner followed by a small carrot cup cake as I had enough calories going spare.

Am now watching the bake off on iplayer which isn't helping Grin

Hmmm mothersdaughter I do love sorbet. Might buy some on my way home from work tomorrow. Am going to make do with an options hot choc tonight.

I'm joining too. Need to get a battery for the scales but I'm at my heaviest. Mindless snacking is my downfall. And lattes.

Any suggestions for a simple, low cal breakfast?

Yes you can... It's a free podcast. Search for nhs couch to 5k and you'll find it. I was quite impressed. A lady talks you through it and say walk now, start running, you're doing well blah blah. And the music changes a lot and isn't boring.

stayed in my calorie goal today - yay! Broadchurch, then bed. I can surely manage that without eating anything!!

I'm 5ft 5 and 12 stone 3lbs. I've managed to stick to slimming world today and even gave the chocolates away that a patient had bought me!

Logging todays results.

Had 1382 in calories (was aiming for 1200)
Pedomiter reads 4,619 (long term goal is to reach 10,000).

Fairly happy with that given today is day 1. Goal for tomorrow is to get calorie ibtake closer to 1200 and increase my steps.

Hello. I'm a bit late joining but sneaking in for motivation :) I want to lose at least a stone, preferably two but I'd be happy with one. I also want to get fitter as that is my real problem at the minute.

Gah I am late to the party but would love to join

I am 27, 5'2" and a size 14, and I'm fucking fed up!

My job is extremely sedentary and I do no exercise, and currently have no money so can't join the gym.

Am not going to worry about weight too much, but more size...I want to feel comfortable in my own rolls of fat skin. The plan is to measure belly and bingo wings week on week.

Am ditching the carbs (including the alcohol), the caffeine and the processed food. Oh, and trying to drink more water (I am basically a camel and last had a glass of water this morning).

I'm doing WW pro points and lost 10 lbs (of target 40) in five weeks before half term, but then had a mad week and put on 4 again. #sigh.

Apparently I am too pathetic to maintain my motivation for more than a few days, so could do with a hand-hold please...

I have made it through Broadchurch without eating anything. (Had an options hot choc) I feel no different, so was clearly just mindlessly eating as opposed to being hungry.

To be honest I have really enjoyed the food I have had today. It's been lovely to feel hunger before eating for a change!!!

Night night all. One day closer to slim and fit!!!

wips - that can't be right, I want to lose 1.5lb a week and i think I am on 1300 calories. Have you set a huge goal or something?

I was doing really well yesterday till about 11pm when I got awful cramping pains. I eventually ate a couple of fig rolls, it didn't feel like hunger but nothing else was working Sad

Today's goals - do a walk this pm and drink more water.

DH is away and I have no cash card due to a dozey moment so trying not to spend till the replacement arrives!
