Yay, thanks Velma. Well done on the 1lb off - all in the right direction Smile

I may brave the scales tomorrow after a few days of being better. Walked 2.5 miles today but no gym as working again

Have appraisal with boss tomorrow so will see if there is a magic wand to be waved......

Dd1 has bailed on my gym plan on Sat Sad. Still need a rocket up my arse or maybe just a personal trainer to motivate me in the evenings - I have the time but am never 'feeling it'. Sadly same goes for early morning too and work gets in the way of the bit in the middle too Hmm

SummerSazz · 05/02/2015 06:48

Ok, so I did brave the scales for a new thread log - 11.0st. Which is 1st off my lightest and 1/2 stone off my preferred maximum. So not TOO bad all told, however there is very little muscle in all that Hmm

Taking salad for lunch and will make some more soup for the weekend to try and keep me at least a little bit on the straight and narrow. Concentrating on trying to get plenty of sleep so I feel bright enough to JFDI with the exercise.

Luckoftheirish · 05/02/2015 07:02

New thread Smile thank u Velma and well done for loss slow and steady wins the race Wink

Sazz that weigh in is not too bad at all Smileso well done youSmile

I am rubbish at motivating myself to exercise in the evenings but with these new classes I am finding that the tues and thurs evenings are such fun that I look forward to them Shock also by the time I get home shower and eat it too late to start munching on rubbish so win win Smile

Did school run and jazzle yesterday, early am walk this am tho just 30mins, school runs as normal and then jazzle tonight

SummerSazz · 05/02/2015 08:04

Wtf is jazzle??

I use the bath as a place to relax and not snack Grin

I've decided to book my health assessment at work for a few weeks time to try and really get on this. The thought of the shame of someone else weighing me and declaring me overweight and unfit will hopefully provide some motivation!

Also thinking of a name change as a fresh new me Smile

Luckoftheirish · 05/02/2015 11:45

Lol jazzle is a mix of cardio and dance think lots of high kicks mixed in with shimming Wink

Oooh new name??! Need to still have a bit of sazz in itGrin

SummerSazz · 05/02/2015 23:48

velmadinkly · 08/02/2015 12:52

Well all the madness of work has now been done. I finally finished my marking, my Totm arrived on Saturday, so I already feel about 4 stone lighter. It's lovely and sunny here, but we are waiting in for my parents to arrive. I so want to go out for a walk, but you can guarantee I'll get my coat on etc, and then they'll turn up, so I'll just stay here MNing.

No real exercise or planned eating done this last week, due to the madness, so I'll do my WI on Tuesday and start afresh then.

velmadinkly · 10/02/2015 16:58

Hi all, the eating has definately gone out of the window, ive had 3 cakes today (but it celebration time) and I'm now officially middle aged according to my Dad.

I was going to walk tonight whilst DD was in gymnastics, but my period is really heavy and i feel far too uncomfortable.

I weighed myself again this morning and I'm bavk to 10st 11.6lb. I really need to get a grip!

How is everyone else doing?

SummerSazz · 23/02/2015 06:17

Oh boo LOTI, sounds rotten. Done 5 mins wakener. Just about to leave home for a train. Too early!!

velmadinkly · 27/02/2015 16:06

Hi All

Well, I'm kind of back on it. I have done a count down to my holiday and it is 19 weeks away.

Wednesday and Thursday morning and I Vicki Pattinson's 7 day slim workout 1 and last night my legs were in so much pain I had to take some diclofenac, so I've had a rest day today.

I like the 7 day slim routines, but it is a lot of getting up and down off the floor, which was annoying me, so I've gone out and purchased Davina's 7 exercise DVD thingy. I spent an hour before school pick up watching the tutorials etc. I'm going to try and give it a go later on this evening. My legs don't feel too bad now.

The 19 week countdown came about because I was putting a plan together so that I can get my dissertation finished before I go away or at least only be left with having tweaks and such like, rather than having 2 weeks relaxing in the sun then getting back to having to sit indoors slogging over writing the damned thing. I've e-mailed my supervisor to find out what the latest date submission can be so that I can graduate in October. The Uni I'm doing the MSc with have a late graduation and a later exam board, so I'm hoping he gives me until July rather than having to cut my time allowance down.

So, 19 weeks to get this 1/2 stone lost, tone up and get the blasted dissertation written.

I will keep you posted!

SummerSazz · 01/03/2015 11:21

Oh Christ - I've just given myself 4 weeks to lose 1/2 stone - am I being over ambitious????!! Grin

So March is here with Spring sunshine and I am determined to get healthier and fitter. I HAVE to. Just hate myself at the moment for becoming a slob and the downward spiral it creates.
So, March IS IT! I have some extra resource at work so hopefully will create some time and space for me to do this and not keep turning to food/drink due to stress and fuck it I'm working hard attitude.
Shred done this morning and grapefruit for brekker.
Will weigh in tomorrow through closed eyes and then go for it as best I can.
Velma - I was eyeing up the Davina 7 min DVD - let me know how you get on.
Oh and 10k steps and 7hrs sleep will be a priority via the fitbit.
LOTI/Fjorny - are you in for a March makeover??

Luckoftheirish · 01/03/2015 11:31

Morning ladies Smile

Well done for shred this am sazzSmile

I am back on it zumba this am and it was hardcore Grin

Up for the march challenge, really fancy taking the dds away for a few days at easter so a good goal to work towards

velmadinkly · 01/03/2015 12:05

I'm up for the March challenge also.

The Davina DVD is good. When I did it yesterday i didn't get too out of breath or anything, but this morning I can feel the back of my thighs aching, and across my back as a whole, not as in 'ouchy, I've pulled something', but as in, 'oh, it's actually targeted some muscles I never thought I had'

I was going to do it this morning, but I didn't wake until 8am, so I suppose I could give it a go later on tonight and it definately doesn't have the up and down off the floor thing going on!

OP posts:
SummerSazz · 01/03/2015 15:14

I didn't get up till 9.30 Grin

Been for a (wet) walk - probably only 1.5 miles but 10k steps already achieved Smile

Might try Davina, but I always seem to return to the shred....

SummerSazz · 02/03/2015 07:53

Bollocks. 11.4

However, on a positive note - 7.5hrs sleep with night cream applied. 7 min exercise this morning to crank everything into action and 2 glasses water drunk already. Fruit and yoghurt for brekker and have brought salad lunch to work first time since before Xmas

Will aim for lunchtime walk and something energetic ish after work.

Happy Monday all Smile
