Does anyone with 1-2st to lose fancy buddying up?

I'm 5ft 5 and am currently 10st 6lb. My clothes are feeling tight and I have stopped wearing jeans in favour of elasticated trousers which is a slippery slope for me.

To cut a long story short, I lost 3st after my twins were born 2.5 years ago. I felt a lot happier and more confident but it's beginning to creep back on as I lost the weight during my turbulent pregnancy so never had to address my bad eating habits. It's catching up with me now and I've put a stone back on and know if I don't address the problem now, it won't be long till the other 2+st is back.

I wondered whether anyone fancied buddying up and we can give each other a nudge, check in on how each other is doing?

Yes mines there, it sometimes takes a while after I click the complete entry button though.

anothernumberone · 10/02/2015 21:00

filo I had McDonald's carmel sundae. I think that says it all about my eveningBlush

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 10/02/2015 21:02

Another I'd send the dog with a note & a fiver!

Filo Not doing too bad, but bloody Sainsbury's had a Chinese meal deal on so had a small amount of everything to keep calories down but I now want more sobs Drinking lots of water instead, it's not the same!

FiloFunky · 10/02/2015 21:04

xbox one workout complete... 32 mins 111 calories apparently. my hips are screaming and my knees are going to pop off....

anothernumberone · 10/02/2015 21:04

Not quite the same but I have been known to send my DH Grin he needs the exercise.

anothernumberone · 10/02/2015 21:06

my knees are going to pop off

Think if the legs go from the knees down that is your 2 stone off in a single night. I walked 30 kids to McDonalds how many calories will that burn.

Woahbodyforrrrm · 10/02/2015 21:34

I'm too lazy to walk the 100m to our local shop and chippy too thank God, it's my saving grace. I won't even get out of bed for food.

Anyway I've been on the sofa all day today unwell so haven't had much appetite, excellent timing as I have weigh in tomorrow Grin

DF (dearest/dastardly feeder) came home with chippy chips and I didn't even let one pass my lips, this unusual show of self control is mainly down to the fact that I couldn't smell them.

I wonder what his sabotage attempt will be tomorrow.......?

filo you did well being good with the Chinese, you only going slightly over on your cals, we have to be able to eat the yummy stuff otherwise what's the point I guess.

I think I'm on quite a high calories a day (1440) and I do have to eat that or I am horribly grumpy! Dieting puts me in a terrible mood. Blush So I'm accepting that it is going to take a while but it is hard . And boring! I'm wondering about investing in fitbit or similar to keep me motivated.

Woahbodyforrrrm · 10/02/2015 22:26

Tis I ??

I'm considering the fit bit too, need to be shamed into action!

Teabiscuits · 10/02/2015 23:37

Can I join in please? I'm 5' 5 and 10st 13, want to lose a stone. I had DC4 back in August and really want to shift the baby weight now.

I've started mfp, 1200 calories a day, I'm on day 2 and right now I'm bloody starving! Had Hairy Biker's sweet and sour for dinner, but that was at 5 as we eat with our young DCs. I must learn to be able to snack with control, I'm too scared to snack as once I start I can't stop.

Looking forward to sharing the journey!

anothernumberone · 10/02/2015 23:38

Addto I am 1480 and most days certainly at the weekend I am all on it getting them all in.

filo give me a heads up if that man is ever looking for a second wife.

FiloFunky · 10/02/2015 23:42

hhaha! he better not ever be!

Ellisisland · 11/02/2015 06:00

Morning all!

filo that dinner looks so tasty ! Any chance of having us all round for tea one night ?!

Have to be good today with no snacks as am visiting my grandmother later and if I don't eat at her house she takes it as s personal insult!
Welcome to Tea and Add I'm herethererverywhere on mfp if you want to add me.

Steala · 11/02/2015 07:01

Thank you for the welcome. I am not having a good week. I'm trying to use MFP and it is great to see where I am going wrong but I find logging everything makes me a bit obsessed and prone to binge. I also am pretty accurate at estimating calories (years of practice!). I know exactly why I'm overweight. Pure greed rather than poor choices. The system that works best for me is mindful eating, sort of Paul McKenna. I hope we can support each other even using different methods?!

Ellisisland · 11/02/2015 07:57

Of course! It's about what works best for you. I find that watching my food works but only if I eat healthy. Calorie counting alone doesn't work for as if I eat anything too sugary it goes straight to my hips whether I am within calories or not. Every body is different.

Ihavenobrain · 11/02/2015 09:48

Filo
Your stir fry sounds nice.
Looks like you're doing well.
How's it going? Grin

Woahbodyforrrrm · 11/02/2015 10:48

Just back from weigh in with a nice loss of 4.5lbs, very pleased with that. Need to lose 3lbs to get into my next stone bracket. It's given me a nice little boost!

I fancy a story fry now though mine never look as nice as that!

steala a friend of mine recently lost buckets of weight following a Paul McKenna method, it spurred me to buy the emotional eating book, I must dig it out and have a read.

Ellisisland · 11/02/2015 11:06

woah congrats that a really good loss!

I am reading the Cameron Diaz body Book at the moment. A friend leant it to me and I thought it would be a typical celebrity diet book but it's actually really good. More like a text book about how your body works. It's made me think more about what food goes into me anyway.

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 11/02/2015 11:32

Woah that's a great loss you must be really happy with that, I've never lost that much what's the secret? Grin
