Does anyone with 1-2st to lose fancy buddying up?

I'm 5ft 5 and am currently 10st 6lb. My clothes are feeling tight and I have stopped wearing jeans in favour of elasticated trousers which is a slippery slope for me.

To cut a long story short, I lost 3st after my twins were born 2.5 years ago. I felt a lot happier and more confident but it's beginning to creep back on as I lost the weight during my turbulent pregnancy so never had to address my bad eating habits. It's catching up with me now and I've put a stone back on and know if I don't address the problem now, it won't be long till the other 2+st is back.

I wondered whether anyone fancied buddying up and we can give each other a nudge, check in on how each other is doing?

I'm pretty surprised myself. I wasn't great at all over the weekend. But the days I did track (weekdays) I used MFP to track and tried to eat food that's classes as "filling & healthy" under the ww plan so thing a like eggs as I find they keep me really full for a long time and there's lots you can do with them! Going for a three course dinner on Saturday night plus drinks so need to be super good before hand.

That's a brilliant loss woah Mine isn't so dramatic but still going in the right direction, 1lb off. At least I think as ive got new scales. I'm hitting my 10,000 steps as the weather is sooo much nicer here.

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 11/02/2015 13:46

Never tried Filling & Healthy, might give it a go after my "Juice" experiment. Enjoy your dinner, at least you'll be able to tuck in with no guilt.

Changed username, joined as Teabiscuits yesterday.

Well done on the losses, I'm not weighing until Monday.

Just realised it's pancake day coming up. Will have to research some healthy ones and not touch all the rubbish I let the DC put in theirs!

saturn · 11/02/2015 21:11

Can I join you? Starting tomorrow. Started the new year with a stone and a half to lose, 6 weeks in and this morning had 24lb to lose Blush

Life just seems to get in the way, was going to start today - weighed in at 10 stone 3, but had a rubbish day at work and had wine and chocolate tonight Hmm - will probably weigh even more than 10 stone 3 in the morning now! tomorrow lunch I'm going for an all you can eat Thai buffet, Friday lunch bf usually takes me to mcdonalds...don't mind the salads there, but just don't find them filling! Friday night going for something to eat with my friend before the cinema. Guess there will always be something to get in the way though.

So my plan, will charge up my fit bit to start using in the morning. Will set the alarm earlier to do some exercise before work and will have a look at my MFP account I haven't used for ages...I'm Mrsrc if anyone wants to add me (and please, please motivate me Grin)

saturn · 11/02/2015 21:17

Oh and most of my clothes don't fit and the button on my suit jacket popped off today Sad. Fit bit is now on charge...

saturn · 11/02/2015 21:44

Another - there is a issacnewton on MFP, he is a 24 year old male. I sent him a friend request thinking he was you Blush I did wonder why a 24 year old male was on mumsnet Hmm

saturn · 11/02/2015 22:17

Right I've sent you all friend requests on MFP, if I've missed anyone apologies - please feel free to send me one. Haven't added niobium as you are a 32 year old male on MFP, unless you are actually a 32 year old male in which case let me know and I will send you a friend request - but after my error with Isaac/issac newton didn't Grin. Just not sure how easy it is going to be to add a Thai all you can eat buffet tomorrow though Hmm any advice gratefully received.

Ellisisland · 12/02/2015 07:00

Morning all. Welcome saturn I accepted your request on mfp Smile

Don't know much about the calorie content on Thai food but a way to do a buffet someone told me on here before is to not fill your plate so that you have to go up again if you want more. Normally you don't go up as you don't actually want more food and you don't want to be the one keep going back to the buffet ! Grin
I survived the feeder that is my grandmother last night. Just a massive plate of spaghetti and Apple crumble which Was very tasty so worth the calorie hit.
Worked it out that I would like to loose at least half a stone by the start of April as have a wedding to go to so that gives me 6 weeks. So plan food wise today is:-
B: porridge with banana
L: toasted wrap with red onion, mushrooms and avocado
D: veggie sausage and mash with veg
Snacks: Apple or raisins. Can also make a smoothie to keep me going through the afternoon if I need it.

saturn · 12/02/2015 07:22

Morning all. Thanks Ellis Smile

Didn't make it up early to exercise this morning, despite setting the alarm Hmm finding it too cold to get up early atm. I have however got my fitbit on today and weighed in at 10 stone 4, so put a pound on with last night's wine and chocolate Blush. Weight logged on MFP. 25lb to lose (only 5 foot 1) Not sure how the Thai buffet will go, but will stick to diet coke...seem to have hot chocolate with cream on top every time I eat out lately!

Right, hope everyone has a good day!

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 12/02/2015 09:12

Morning have added you on MFP Saturn Nothing useful to add about the Thai buffet but surely it has to be healthier than a Chinese Smile

Ellis I need to plan my meals & your menu for today looks great. I can't step away from the sweet snacks they may be tiny portions but the calories soon add up Cake

Ellisisland · 12/02/2015 09:33

Thanks heffa I have to plan as if I know I have something nice to eat later I won't snack loads and ruin it!

FiloFunky · 12/02/2015 17:43

Tea today... 713 calories. But still under daily limit.
Been to hospital today. Have an urgent referral being made. Should be seen in 2 weeks. Needed some scrummy naughty food

Does anyone with 1-2st to lose fancy buddying up?
FiloFunky · 12/02/2015 17:44

Was belly pork with cracking....

Ellisisland · 12/02/2015 18:59

Hope everything's ok filo good food ia definitely needed after a hospital trip

Woahbodyforrrrm · 12/02/2015 19:35

Hope you're okay filo glad you got a yummy dinner tonight sounds like you needed it ??

The feeder came home with kebab and chips last night and my strong will wained big time. Trying to draw a line under it today but feel so hungry. I had veg and mash with a cheese sauce for dinner tonight but don't feel satisfied. I really want some chocolate. Really really want it.

How was your Thai saturn? it's so hard trying to begin a new healthy eating plan when you have things planned isn't it.

How did you get on today with your food plan ellis?

Thanks heffa Smile

Well done on the planning Ellis, that is something I could do with working on.

Your dinner looks soooo nice filo Envy

Hope you managed to stay strong and resist the chocolate whoa (unlike me last night after a bad day at work Blush

I really enjoyed the Thai. It was a good job I only had an hour for lunch or I could've stayed there eating all afternoon.

Haven't logged the Thai on MFP, but had 950 calories left and haven't had anything to eat this evening. Have had my fitbit on all day, but now I've tried to synch it it doesn't seem to be working :(. Had a litre of water today....haven't been drinking any so that is a good start. Also, had breakfast - which I haven't been having - as I thought if I didn't would be really hungry at the Thai.

Tomorrow's not going to be a particularly good day either as going out for lunch and then going out for something to eat with my friend in the evening Hmm

anothernumberone · 12/02/2015 23:20

Hahaha Saturn. I got it first Grin. I am only recently home from work and I am bloody starved but I hate eating this late. My app bloody well have out to me for not eating enough today, FFS the last thing I need is an app giving me hassle Grin.

I was down 2.4 today which I am thrilled with as it is well over the 1 lb target on MFP. I am on a big count down to getting under 11 stone as it has been 2 years since I was down there. Shamefully it was when I had a young baby who was bf and I could eat like a horse. I just forgot to stop eating like a horse unfortunately.

Ellisisland · 13/02/2015 03:58

Well I stuck to my meal plan Smile only thing I had extra was a slice of peanut butter on toast but still on target so happy with that.

I am terrible for chocolate I cant have it in the house or I will eat the lot. DH always blames me for his chocolate habit as he never ate it till he met me!

another I am bf a little baby now but I have never been one able to eat anything whilst doing it unfortunately. Even with my eldest he fed constantly and I still had to watch what I ate. So annoying !

Ellisisland · 13/02/2015 04:00

Oh and congrats on the loss! 2.4 is really good !

saturn · 13/02/2015 06:53

Well done on the 2.4 another Grin very inspiring!

And well done for sticking to the meal plan Ellis!!!

I need to go for a Thai buffet more often - apparently I've lost 2lb Shock. Doesn't look like I am going out for lunch today, but still eating out tonight.

Hope everyone else has a good day Smile

saturn · 13/02/2015 09:42

Put a dress on for work today and couldn't zip it up :(

Ellisisland · 13/02/2015 09:54

Saturn sorry that's such a crap start to any day. You have lost 2lbs though so at least you are heading in the right direction.

Meal plan for today is
B: porridge and banana
L: avocado and Humous wrap
D: broccoli and garlic lemon pasta
I made some apple and blackberry crumble from the Deliciously Ella cookbook so that will be my snack for today. It doesn't have any sugar or flour in. It's just fruit, oats and a bit of maple syrup and cinnamon so non of the bad stuff.
Hope everyone has a good Friday. I am off later to try and get passport photos for a 6 week old baby Confused that will be fun !

zippyandbungle · 13/02/2015 10:24

ellis it's a bit ridiculous when you go through passport with your 5 year old and you show a photo of a squidgy new born.
saturn make that your dress of inspiration and try it on every week.
I'm trying to plan my weekend food as that's when I really fall down wine

FiloFunky · 13/02/2015 13:21
