I'm 5ft 2 and weigh 13st 11 and a size 16.
My youngest do is 7 in August and I feel like I cannot live this size anymore.prior to the dcs (age12,7 and 6) I was 10 st and still felt overweight.
It seems like I have gained approx 1st4lb for each of the dcs, I feel sick at the thought of the last 7 year I have been on a diet nearly every week and NEVER stick to it. :(
This is all going to change and I'm going to track my journey right here for all to see !
I have contemplated joining slimming world group but My shift patterns at work are very erratic and I couldn't make every meeting.
feel like I can do slimming world myself as I have all the books etc, however I'm aware there is a new plan on slimming world but if the old one works, then I shall be doing that.
Just wondering if anyone has any tips etc.
I am going shopping tomorrow so need to compile a list.
anyone want to join me in my journey ?
I'm going to Majorca in June, so 21 weeks to shift as much as possible.
Wish me luck.

Food shopping all done menus all planned :)

Purchased a vibroplate just before Christmas and have spend 2 hours putting it together this morning and I aim to do 10 minutes 3 times per day.

Out with the old and in with the new :)

Good luck on your journey. Eat less, move more and keep us in the loop.

nicl03 · 04/01/2015 19:02

Can I join you please I'm 33 have 3 kids (10,7 and 4) my weight has crept on, I'm 5"1 and 10 stone 4 so overweight according to my bmi, would like to get to 8 stone but don't think that's possible, I just want to feel nice and look good in a pair of skinny jeans.

Zazzabeans · 04/01/2015 19:10

Yes the more the merrier although I would give my right arm to be your weight Grin
What diet are you planning on following ? :)

I'm going to do juice plus have it waiting in the cupboard to start at breakfast tomorrow and I'm also going to do the 30 day shred dvd had it ages just never used it( that's really bad).

I was looking at slimming world but with husbands shifts and my shifts we work around each other I can't make the meeting every week.

I'm going to make some jelly tomorrow it has hardly no calories in it so when I need something sweet will eat that but it's going to be hard loads of selection boxes left from Christmas.

weaselsquirrel · 04/01/2015 19:23

Can I join? I'm 29 and 5ft 2. I don't own a scales so will be weekly weighing down boots and getting a print out, my guess is 13st 2lb. I have 4 children 11,7,4 and 2. I'm a strict vegetarian so I'm going to base most of my diet around soups. It's my birthday at the end of January and I'm going to get a bike. I love swimming but have a trapped nerve in my neck/shoulder at the moment so am on naproxen, diazepam and tramadol so can't do much excercise until this passes.

I'm feeling positive, will we be doing a Monday weigh in?

TenMinutesEarly · 04/01/2015 19:24

Can I join too? I'm 33 with 2 dc 7 and 4 and weigh 10 stone. I want to lose a stone and a half. Ideally by the end of May but definitely be August. I want to be able to feel confident in my clothes again!

weaselsquirrel · 04/01/2015 19:24

What is juice plus if you don't mind me asking?

nicl03 · 04/01/2015 19:28

Juice plus is milkshakes but has loads of vitamins etc in it so it's healthy have 1 for breakfast 1 for lunch then healthy meal for tea, you can get tablet form as well I think, there is juice-plus website if you google it it will tell you more.

Zazzabeans · 04/01/2015 19:28

I am munching my way through left over xmas chocs, nuts and crisps as I type Grin
Feeling really positive about this and know it's something I need to do for myself and dcs, dh says I'm lovely the way I am but I know I'm not :(
I feel so frumpy i avoid social events because of it.
Come on ladies lets do this !!!!

I'm not sticking to calories, going to do mine based on slimming world :)
I'm too greedy to do anything else Grin
I intend to weigh in every Monday without weighing in between ( a little habit I have Blush )

I'm starting afresh tomorrow too! I'm aiming to lose a stone to start off with and then I'll take it from there. I'm joining ww on Wednesday!

samesizetoes · 04/01/2015 20:58

Another one starting tomorrow. I was 12stone (down from 14) about 6months ago and I must have put on at least another half since then after loosing my focus. I've already packed my gym stuff and got breakfast ready so no putting it off in the morning. I'm going to boots after work to use the scales and find out my starting point and put together a healthy eating plan.

weaselsquirrel · 05/01/2015 09:16

So I'm all positive. Not really hungry anyway because of the painkillers. Haven't weighed yet because the car has had to go to the garage. I don't drink alcohol or tea/coffee so water isn't an issue with maybe the odd coke zero. How is everyone else this morning?

nicl03 · 05/01/2015 09:56

Well I have started this morning I've had my juice plus don't feel hungry yet I've weighed myself

Starting at 10stone 6 ( how did that happen)

I love my coffee I'm going to try and have only 2 cups a day and going to try and drink juice instead of diet coke that should make a difference!

Zazzabeans · 05/01/2015 13:58

So far so good :)
I'm not a breakfast person so didn't eat untill 1.30 and had a ham and pease pudding sandwhich (brown bread,no spread) packet of sunbites 6syns and lots of fruit and a can of Pepsi max (total meal 6syns)
I have some eggs boiling in the pan incase I get hungry before my chicken dinner later :)
Excercises for today 3 hours housework and a 20 all round walk to the shops also intend on doing 20 mins on vibration plate later.
Hope everyone is managing :)

I'm joining too. 11st and 8st would be healthy as I am rather short. Dry January, eating healthily and cutting out the chocolate, crisps, cake, cake and cake. Would love to be under 10st when I go back to work in March.

nicl03 · 05/01/2015 14:16

Had another juice plus for lunch done housework, ironing I could just eat a choc biscuit I'm really trying to be good today but finding it hard today probably cause kids are off until tomorrow.

Zazzabeans · 05/01/2015 15:55

What kind of excercises is everyone doing ?
Have just put the dinner on but I'm not really hungry ! Hopefully will be in an hour .
Also had 2 boiled eggs earlier, couldn't resist !

I'm going to try and walk most places and not use the car for school runs, I'm also going to do my 30 day shred dvd tonight.
I'm having chicken stir fry for tea with noodles im starving.

samesizetoes · 05/01/2015 18:10

Well that is a shocker, scales say I'm 11st 6. A lot less than I thought it was going to be but I'm sure my belly has grown since I last weighed myself. I want to be in the healthy BMI range by my birthday (end of feb) and lose 2 stone by summer.

I cycled to work and back then did 30 mins of the treadmill today. As for the diet I'm just cutting out crap and eating mindfully for the first few weeks, whilst I get back in the swing of things then I'll start a low carb boot camp when I really get going.
