I'm 5ft 2 and weigh 13st 11 and a size 16.
My youngest do is 7 in August and I feel like I cannot live this size anymore.prior to the dcs (age12,7 and 6) I was 10 st and still felt overweight.
It seems like I have gained approx 1st4lb for each of the dcs, I feel sick at the thought of the last 7 year I have been on a diet nearly every week and NEVER stick to it. :(
This is all going to change and I'm going to track my journey right here for all to see !
I have contemplated joining slimming world group but My shift patterns at work are very erratic and I couldn't make every meeting.
feel like I can do slimming world myself as I have all the books etc, however I'm aware there is a new plan on slimming world but if the old one works, then I shall be doing that.
Just wondering if anyone has any tips etc.
I am going shopping tomorrow so need to compile a list.
anyone want to join me in my journey ?
I'm going to Majorca in June, so 21 weeks to shift as much as possible.
Wish me luck.

I don't door much excercise Blush I'm too lazy.
I would rather spend time on my iPad Grin

Leek and potato soup was awful. I'm trying carrot and coriander today.

Off to asda later so shopping list is compiled with lots of items I know are safe on slimming world .

I'm not doing any / much exercise. I just feel toooo tired.

I wave a few light weights around if I can be bothered.

January is a difficult month for me .

You can lose weight without working out. My daughter worked with a female body builder who for some reason had to stop doing what she did and she lost her muscle and got very fat.

She had to diet it all off and then when she got near her target she then exercised to tone up.

I also had a friend who was bedridden for 3 years. He lost weight by controlling his portions and though he never left bed for 3 years lost an amazing amount of weight.

I'm not getting weighed Zazza. If I don't get a result I like I'd eat chocolate. If I got a good result I'd think wow, I deserve a treat and eat chocolate.

I'm a nightmare for that so its better not to know.

I'm doing healthy eating with Mfp and measuring myself and going by my tight clothing.

I poured myself into a tight dress yesterday ( it didn't have a size on the neckline when I bought it in a charity shop. It's a planet dress and it was tight when I tried it on at home and as usual I was too lazy to take it back. That was over a year ago. So I just took it out of the wardrobe , squeezed myself into it and then kept it on in defiance!)

So, I've just managed to find a size label on the side seam. I'm shocked to see its a size 8. I thought it was a 12

I have dresses in my wardrobe that go from a size 8- 18 dependng on fabric and most of them fit.

My daughter calls it vanity sizing!!!

Btw...there's no way I'm a size 8 .

Marmaduke3 · 16/01/2015 12:16

Mmmh just back fro Asda. They had a 'get healthy' event on as you came thru the doors.
I got myself a pair of running trousers £5. pair of pink trainers £8. Vest top £3.
Trouble is, I've never been running in my life!!!!
I worry that people will laugh at me as they drive past.
I will be a big, red hot face, and a sweaty body!!!

Zazzabeans · 16/01/2015 14:38

have had an awful morning, my dh broke down and told me he feels worthless and depressed :( I feel awful because I should have known.

Iv consoled myself in food again.
Sorry to put a dampener on the thread.

I wouldn't mind if consoling myself was a one off but it's not, there's someting everyday with me :(
I'm too greedy.
Didn't make it to Asda and I'm at work tomorrow so will be Sunday now.
I feel like iv wasted so much time shopping/cooking then I go and balls it up Angry

Depression isn't always easy to spot. My sons friend who was the life and soul of the party , killed himself and no one to this day knows why.

So don't blame yourself. He's obviously been very good at hiding it.

Draw a line under what happened. Get back on track today. It will be easier to deal with DP if you're not beating yourself up with guilt.

Suggest he gets some help. Mind are very good.

whysnicknameinvalid · 18/01/2015 16:30

Hi everyone, I've been reading ,so thought I'd join you properly! Hope youre feeling back on track Zazza.Smile
I've mainly joined to get a bit fitter and tone up those wobbly bits and bingo wings before its short sleeves top weather again!
I'm doing the 30 day shred - am on day 12 , which is amZing for me as I don't do any exerciseusually as find it boring ( and hard so I usually give up!) It is hard work- but its just for twenty minutes, so by the time I'm starting to feel like I'm ready to drop , its done! Definitely recommend it for anyone a bit lazy Like me!

Hey, I'm changing my weigh in day to a fri, because I got weights Friday gone.
Today is another day imnot. 4lb in 3 weeks, is good, slowly but surely. Keep it up :)
How's everyone else?

OP posts:
bryonyelf · 25/01/2015 19:04

Me! 7 lb in 3 weeks but no weight loss this week at all. I think a combination of half a stone in 2 weeks and starting exercise this week has just done something so hopefully starting again tomorrow. I am considering switching to the 5:2 as I don't think I have been eating enough day to day and have become a bit calorie obsessed.

Zazzabeans · 25/01/2015 19:15

Well done bryony

How many cals are you sticking to ?
