The thread has disappeared seemingly replaced by a biscuit!

Grin. Grin Grin

Well done Double. Fab work!

I too have been a serial weigher but now try to weigh once a week. Should weigh tomorrow (as I don't eat much Tuesday's in general), if it's not a loss then I will spend the next couple of days being good ready for Friday.

I'm probably not making much sense....bloody shattered. Half term can't come quick enough for me. Have an assessment at work tomorrow and I'm worried. I think im doing ok but im getting to the end of my probation so worrying about that. I have a tendency to think about the things I haven't done well rather than the positives.

I also find it tough juggling home and work, I feel a bit of a crap mum at the minute. Dd has just started full days and I'm just not there enough to know what's going on (seriously, how can a just 4 year old pass on messages correctly...put a note in her bag, would solve a million problems).

Sorry to whine, I know there's bigger problems out there. Going to go to bed as I could eat pretty much any old crap at the minute!

DoubleMum · 15/10/2014 07:11

Those stressful weeks are horrid Sylv, hope it gets a bit better for you.
Another 1.5 lbs off today. Wish it was going a bit quicker but there we go. At least it's going.

you're doing brilliantly Double Mum - a loss is a loss, losing it is the issue, not the timing and you seem to be doing pretty well to me

Slyv, hugs, and dont worry - your DD will be absolutely fine - parenting is entirely inconsistent - we're not machines. My DD has had periods when I've been on it and periods when she's fended more for herself in some ways. She''s 16 now and lovely, and more than coped with my variable input.

Just concentrate on the good stuff at work and visualise in your head getting good feedback - i dont know if its typically written or verbal but imagine the process of getting it, it being good and you being pleased. Positive visualisation - works a treat for me in loads of situations. They might not always end up quite as well as i visualise them but it takes the stress out of the anticipation and if you feel more confident you act more confident - with good results.

And its nearly half term.

SylvsFatSkirtMustGo · 15/10/2014 18:10

Thanks you guys!
I wrote a note to dd school just to ask them to remind dd to go to the loo during school, plus reminded them that we are missing items of clothing so please chase it up.
Work review went ok, lots of good things and some to work on, but I feel good. I was called "very personable" which is good but I veer towards too chatty and not as productive as I could be Grin......could be worse!

Another 2.4 lb off as well so today things are looking up.

Good loss for you Double, well done.

Chiefs, we are on it!

RandallFloyd · 15/10/2014 21:10

Win, win, win, Sylv.
I'd say that was a good day all round!

RandallFloyd · 15/10/2014 21:13

And well done Double too. Fab loss, Chief Smile

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 18/10/2014 11:42

Everyone is doing so brilliantly! I went to Montenegro for a week and ate LOADS but also swam LOADS and LOADS (swimming trip - no kids!) so lost 4lb. Unfortunately they were 4 of the lbs I had gained back Sad Back on MFP - I'm Shrewvole.

Someone was saying about the relentlessness of dieting and I find that especially true for MFP - bizarrely it puts me off cooking healthy meals from scratch as I then don't want to enter all the calories Hmm

Hope everyone is doing well. Double and Lizzy, I'm really sorry you've both had such a stressful time of it Thanks

RandallFloyd · 18/10/2014 11:54

Still, 4lb loss is pretty bloody impressive, however you look at it!

I've managed to offset 5 days straight of Randalling, thank goodness. It was a close run thing though! No loss but no gain so I'll settle for that.

Onwards and downwards Smile

Iamapplesnotcakes · 18/10/2014 14:25

Well done buzzy. Bet it was beautiful swimming there.

No loss for me, like Randall, the Randalling days have cancelled out the good days.

DoubleMum · 18/10/2014 21:55

Well done Buzzy! Well my house is all painted and looking lovely, and 2 pieces of furniture left today so the spare room is looking a lot more spacious. A job would be nice but we can't have everything can we?

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 18/10/2014 22:19

But you have smaller jeans. Well done Doubs. Looks like you're all really focused and some great cheese eating losses.

New jobs. New schools. Pre-schools. Holidays. Randalling.

All going on in Chiefdom.

Glad to see MrLou is moving forward and sorry about the bunnies Double.

I have have eaten Somerset since summer Cake and my exercise is suffering from ongoing recovery from a broken foot. I don't dare weigh myself. Sad on the bright side I'm harder to shove off a hockey ball when I'm heavier Grin

I have pjs. They are slightly bigger but if we're having a party I can bring the best cider of the west country.

I think I need to do something Chiefy for Christmas- which doesn't involve cake

Missed you all

DoubleMum · 19/10/2014 08:25

Teeeeeaaaaaaa! So glad to see you, hadn't even heard about the disappearance of Somerset so it must have been eaten so thoroughly that people didn't even realise it was missing. Sorry about the foot. I think you're wise not to weigh yourself. Somerset probably weighs quite a lot.

OP posts:
RandallFloyd · 19/10/2014 10:47

Tea! How the devil are ya?

Soz sbout the foot and cake-eating.
If you're bringing proper West Country cider you can totes come to the party.

We've missed you a Chief, fancy joing in with our Not Entirely Successful But Not A Total Disaster Yet push for Christmas? Admitedly it could use a snappier title but you can't have everything.

SylvsFatSkirtMustGo · 19/10/2014 15:02

TEA!!
Lovely to have you back, though I'm still intact in my little corner of Somerset so you haven't been as bad as you think.

Catchy title Randall, I always refer to myself as a Crap Dieter, even when I get to target I will never have been a good dieter, or totally redesigned my day to day diet (bar perhaps portion sizes).

Have a lovely winter fruit crumble for pudding after my Roast. Can't wait! Oh and had a pancake for breakfast.

Still hoping for a loss this week thoughSmile

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 19/10/2014 15:43

My very favourite Mumsnetters.

I left your bit Sylv. Thought it might be reported back to the Chiefs. Don't travel north. That's all I'm going to say.

Interestingly that's exactly the thread search I did Randall. It's exactly what I'm looking for. Though I may not start right this second. I have pie for tea and a bottle of wine in the fridge and I have cake baking urges. I hate this time of the year. My body still thinks it's pre-agrigian revolution and feels the need to eat carbs and store fat because winter is coming and I might be forced to spend hours trying to wrestle with a turnip from the frozen ground.

RandallFloyd · 19/10/2014 18:21

Yep, as soon as I get cold I must eat. I think it's some sort of survival instinct.
I do not like cold. Cold makes me cross and grumpy.

D'you know what stops me feeling cross and grumpy? Yep, cider and cheese.

D'you know what else makes me cross and grumpy? Putting on weight.

Grr. Fecking winter can feck off. And it hasn't even started yet Angry

Lizzylou · 19/10/2014 18:45

Tea! Smile
Well done Sylv and Double.
I have conned Dh into buying me new clothes, they are my usual size, but rather tight Shock
So, on it like sonic now.

DoubleMum · 19/10/2014 19:23

Tea you could try actual turnip wrestling to counterbalance the cake.
My children made fudge this morning. I suspected it was a mistake but they'd been going on about it and we had all the ingredients. There is none left, that's all I'm going to say.

OP posts:
RandallFloyd · 19/10/2014 19:42

Mmmm, fudge.
I'm pretty sure that if I could make my own fudge I'd be beyond any chiefly help.

I'd be More4 documentary fodder fo' sho'.

Iamapplesnotcakes · 19/10/2014 20:06

I love fudge. Wistful for days when DD might want to do something that doesn't require headphones.

Lovely to have Tea back in the gang. One of the originals that inspired me.

As for winter it knows what it can do.

Yay for new clothes Lizzy, and can you spread some of the sonic ness this way?

Not been too bad food wise this weekend. Randalling happened Thursday and Friday. Just counting down now to Homeland.

SylvsFatSkirtMustGo · 19/10/2014 21:00

Lizzy, I bought some new clothes and they nearly fit....I did go a size down though. Thought it would give me something to aim towards and will try them again in a couple of weeks when I'm hoping my huge thighs will have shrunk.

Putting a positive spin on Winter, how about lots of homemade soup? You can eat loads for little calories (just miss out the cheesy baguettes we normally have with it).

I had 2 puddings this evening and currently thinking about finishing off the leftover crumble. If I only have a salad for lunch tomorrow and no dinner it might just be okay. Tuesday might have to be lean as well.

And on that note, I'm off to eat look at that small lonely piece of crumble.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 19/10/2014 21:02

Oooooo. New threads on the thread? Are they to create a teaching persona or are they slightly see-through for drinking booze in reputable drinking establishments. Tell all Lizzy. I love new clothes.

Fudge

I did not bake a cake. This is my first act of Chiefing. I have jogged on the spot on a Sunday to get some sort of almost at my step goal. Second chiefly act

I have had pie, wine and cheese so I have some way to go. But hey two improvements on last Sunday already Blush

Tomorrow I will start trying to make good choices and have a look at my garden to see where I can put my wrestle a turnip installation

I am not on it quite yet but my head has been turned!

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 19/10/2014 21:04

And you Sylv. Gis a twirl or it didn't happen.

Crumble

RandallFloyd · 19/10/2014 22:22

Oh I don't know, pie wine and cheese sounds pretty classic Chief to me!
