The thread has disappeared seemingly replaced by a biscuit!

Oh dear looks like we all need the chiefly wisdom!
I need it BIG time. But I also need a big dose of mojo and willpower.
I'm in the midst of getting rid of most of our worldly possessions though, so getting rid of a few stone as well didn't ought to be that hard!

OP posts:
RandallFloyd · 30/09/2014 20:36

How's things going, Double?
Did you manage to get a decent enough pay off to keep you going for a while?

DoubleMum · 30/09/2014 20:47

Am still officially working Randall, until end of Oct. House is on the market, and we're actively looking. Have seen a couple we like but they won't accept our offer until we get an offer on ours. :( Haven't really looked for work yet as I'm decluttering like a mad thing and can't do both. Did sell almost all our books though for £1400! Most of that was a quite rare collection of DH's but I was prepared to give most of them away so it was a nice surprise.

OP posts:
RandallFloyd · 30/09/2014 21:24

Wowzers, £1400? That's amazing.
I tried to sell mine and not even the WeBuyAnyBooks.com would take them!

Sounds like you're being very focused and practical about it all.

DoubleMum · 30/09/2014 22:00

Well I took the giant rabbits to a sanctuary yesterday and blubbed all the way home so perhaps not that focussed.

OP posts:
SylvsFatSkirtMustGo · 30/09/2014 22:11

Lovely! We are all getting back togetherSmile

I think it's very clear we have not been the best dieters recently! That's all about to change though Chiefs....slimmer by Christmas or else!

I too am an evening snacker, especially when dh is working, it's like if no one sees me eat then it doesn't count. So very wrong, I know.

I'm with you on losing 20 pounds Randall (though I need to lose another 10 on that), that's quite a big ask though isn't it? I guess it's only 2lb a week ish, so it is doable.

I hope you get an offer on the house soon Double, have you had many viewings?

Food wise, I've had a carby day, bread and pasta. However been very busy at work and haven't eaten since 2pm so maybe the damage has been limited? Will get on the scales Thursday and start The Shred (for the millionth time). Oh and mfp, tomorrow Chiefs, I will start logging my food.

SylvsFatSkirtMustGo · 30/09/2014 22:12

Missed the post about the Rabbits Double. Sad Sad Sad

RandallFloyd · 30/09/2014 22:52

Oh, that must have been awful.
Well done for doing it though Thanks

RandallFloyd · 30/09/2014 22:52

We can totes do it, Sylv.
Totes.

Iamapplesnotcakes · 01/10/2014 09:17

morning chaps,

sad about the rabbits but impressed at decluttering - there's a hobby I should take up

have had super stressful time with home wifi not working and presentation download fail - rescued by Caffe Nero and a cheese and ham toastie - oops!

Still they're only 208 calories so not too bad

IT crisis meant no time for shredding this morning and I didnt do it yesterday either so need to get back on the case tomorrow

off to MFP now, grits teeth determinedly. Christmas will see a difference in us all

DoubleMum · 01/10/2014 10:17

Apple for breakfast and half an hour of chucking stuff out, onwards and upwards! The large rabbit run and the trampoline are leaving the premises today which should make the garden a lot bigger.

OP posts:
DoubleMum · 01/10/2014 14:32

At least they were supposed to be leaving the premises but neither person turned up, grrrr!
Have been good today foodwise anyway.

OP posts:
DoubleMum · 01/10/2014 21:50

OK guys have you been good little Chiefs today?

OP posts:
RandallFloyd · 01/10/2014 22:51

I have been very good, promise!

SylvsFatSkirtMustGo · 01/10/2014 23:24

Yes I've not been too bad, quite a large lunch but no dinner bar a bread roll, came in under 1200.

Weigh in tomorrow to see how many pounds I've regained!

Seriously though, need a 2lb loss per week from now on. In reality that means no crappy food at all. Once I allow myself a treat it then seems okay to have another treat the next day and so on. So, no more Flakes for me!

DoubleMum · 02/10/2014 07:02

Yep I'm the same Sylv. And there's lots of chocolate in the fridge at the moment as my friend produced it for my children last week.

OP posts:
SylvsFatSkirtMustGo · 02/10/2014 21:35

Well I had some chocolate orange today, but under 1200 cals for the day so that's ok. I was home and just couldn't say no!

Weighed myself and am exactly the same as a month ago (though I had put on in between that). I am able to fit into one of my thinner pair of jeans but could do with some room to breathe! Really want to be down another size by the end of the month....that would be a size 12 and a huge achievement. Just thinking of that gives me motivation, haven't bought size 12 since 13 year old ds was a baby!

Onwards and downwards Chiefs!

RandallFloyd · 02/10/2014 21:49

Yay, that's fab work.
Come on size 12!

DoubleMum · 02/10/2014 21:52

You can do it Sylv!!
Have completely avoided sweets today. And got loads of bargain fruit & veg from Tesco, discovered last week that they do their final reductions in the f & V dept at exactly the time we are on our way back from karate. Mangos 15p, broccoli 19p, salad 11p ...

OP posts:
SylvsFatSkirtMustGo · 02/10/2014 22:26

Wow! I go past a Tesco every day so will pop in when I finish late. I normally try to get to Aldi for their super 6 but it's out of my way, plus the local Lidl (my other choice for fruit and veg) is shut for a refurb. I do buy a lot of veg but it can be expensive. Will try tesco tomorrow as I'm going to be at work later than normal, will report back with my bargains!

DoubleMum · 03/10/2014 06:52

In my local Mr T it's about 7.20 they do the final reductions on the fruit and veg, based solely on 2 Thursday experiences! They haven't done the final reductions in bakery or meat depts at that point though, so must be later for that. Not that we want bakery reductions of course...
Waitrose also have very good late reductions if you can find out what time they get done, in ours it was about 6.30

OP posts:
SylvsFatSkirtMustGo · 03/10/2014 10:05

I might be a bit too late tonight then, but will pop in just incase there's something left. Wouldn't mind a fair bit of veg, then I can make soup which is ideal as long as I don't have bread with it (trying to cut back on carbs, noticed my diet is quite heavy with them).

Is it sad that I'm actually looking forward to scooting through Tesco tonight? Do love a bargain though....going to be very disappointed if I miss out!

hinkyhonk · 03/10/2014 13:17

ahem got a bit lost but found you all again.

had been doing really well after avidly mfp-ing everything but after 5 year low weign in on saturday, I slipped up on a gu pudding on sat night - who the hell knew they were over 400 cals each!

then had a blip on a couple of days this week and i'm back up 2lb already - how i mean how!!

anyway it seems that if i want to lose weight then i really have to stick to 1200 cals and that is it. have been finding soup pots very helpful and have a great lunchtime option of spicy rare beef with egg noodles soupy thing which is just lush and way under the calories of one gu pudding.

now talk to me about buffers - WHEN i hit my target what then?

DoubleMum · 03/10/2014 20:31

Paaaaarrrrrrtyyyyyy hinkyhonk. Involving ahem some lovely salad, obviously.

OP posts:
RandallFloyd · 03/10/2014 21:17

Well done, Hinky, that's fantastic work!
I would highly recommend having a buffer. I very much enjoyed life in the buffer zone and intend to be back there very soon indeed.
