Standards have slipped!

My little part time job has become almost full time, the kids have been home and it's been too hot to keep my running up. The old healthy eating has slipped too. Sugar has crept in and weight has crept on

So, sept 1st

Weigh
Measure
Start running weekly x 3
Back to bootcamp
Juicing and healthy eating

And I'm going to track the lot on myfitnesspal/mapmyrun/fitbug.com

Oh, and for the first time in going to do the water thing. 2 litres a day. That is new for me but achievable I think

So, gives us about 3 1/2 months til Christmas. Anyone else?

Have been procrastinating. It's boiling hot here. Right. I am going out for a run now.

I also thought I'd posted, but mine's not here either! To say I weighed in this morning and have lost about 1.5lbs. Hurrah! I'm allowing myself wine tonight to celebrate...

Good evening everyone.
Hope everyone's had a good day.
Yey! more losers - well done!

I had a nice long walk, no extra exercise as my back feels a bit off. Will try again tomorrow.

Lunch was a freshly baked rye bun with cottage cheese and chives sprinkled with pumpkin seeds.
Dinner was home made fish bites, a few boiled potatoes and a mountain of feta salad (too much bloody feta) with a olive oil, lemon and black pepper dressing.
I'm craving the naughty C badly today, my hormones are all over the place and I'd normally be 'comforting' expanding myself with some. I practically sniffed the smell right out of the cake shop as I walked past :) but I didn't buy anything except my bun.
I might have a cup of hot choc to satisfy my craving later but will try not to.

Enjoy your Friday evening all.

Happy Saturday all.

Woke up today with a huge appetite which isn't normal for me. So I've had a small amount of porridge with honey and an hour later blitzed up a shake of strawberries, kale, avocado, walnuts and flax seeds. I'm currently full :)

The weather's lovely where I am, hot and sunny so I think we're off later to make the most of it. Might go into Town or for a river walk.

Hope everyone has a lovely day/weekend.
Take care x

Ha ha just sat here before work FULL of shake/smoothie as well! I used water, coconut milk, mixed berries, organic yogurt, chia, banana and a sorry looking nectarine!

For a small shift at work so I'm taking cherry tomatoes and carrot sticks. Then home before heading out again shopping!

Was going to do parkrun this morning but no childcare.

I'm doing well. Sticking to it. My downfall is chocolate and haribo craving, in the right frame of mind I'm fine but when I fall off the wagon I fall deep into a well of haribo and it usually takes me weeks to swim back to the top.
How's that for a metaphor :o

Stealth, that's me with chocolate! I can't stop once I start Sad

Well kids, this week has been a game of 2 halves. Exercise: awesome. Done 50km of trail and 3 Crossfit classes. Go me.

Diet: um... not that good. You know I speculated about having canapés and champagne for dinner on Friday? It was worse. Golden Arches- double cheeseburger meal. I didn't supersize- that's my only consolation. Today a bit better- made a lovely Greek salad for dinner. Had birthday cake though. And wine. one more day before weigh in- can I pull it back??

HeySoulSister · 06/09/2014 16:35

Yes! Yes you can! Think with all that exercise you will be fine!

Hi all. DH went and bought cheesecake for our 'date night' dinner yesterday, but at least he bought 100 g slices not the whole thing. Had steak with only a couple of oven chips and lots of roasted veg and a glass of red so a 'relaxed' approach to the diet, but not too disastrous.
Done ok so far today and SW recipe chicken chausseur for dinner, with a small spoonful of mash. Yum!

I need to talk to DH again about supporting me to lose weight. He tends to buy me chocolate or Drumstick lollies if he thinks I need cheering up, plus he eats loads of crisps etc in the evening (and due to cycling and good metabolism never puts on weight grr )

Dp is on a bit of a health kick too, in preparation for a half marathon, so not doing too badly here. Am not on a diet and don't intend to deny myself things, but am finding that generally I'm eating v lightly in the day so that I feel fine about having a decent dinner. Went out for a curry last night but just had a starter and about half of a main (dp ate the leftovers for lunch today!). Salad for dinner tonight, but I will be having a drink and maybe a creme brulee. :)

Pmsl at "I didn't supersize" :o

Yes chocolate as well for me. But really I'm doing ok, I used to binge on those giant supermarket bakery cookies that are about 500 cals each (don't actually think that's an exaggeration). I used to buy two bags and would have eaten one (bag!) in the car on the way home. My weight may fluctuate and I have no doubt it won't all be plain sailing but I am never going back to THAT

I am 5 foot 4 and weigh 11 stone 11 pounds. I wear a 14 but am creeping up a size. I want to lose 2 stone.

This week I've been eating more sensibly but really struggle to fit in any exercise. I teach Primary so leave at 7am, often don't get back home til 6pm, but the time I've cooked tea and sorted the kids, done any prep for the next day it's 10pm.

I've bought a dvd and am going to try really hard to fit in more walking/cycling on the weekends (well Saturday) but feel food is the only element I can really control right now.

Ran 4 miles this morning then went to watch some friends do a triathlon. I'm very inspired... Really fancy doing one myself

I've signed up for Silverstone half marathon in March

Made a cappuccino cake ( yum) and a potato heavy dinner. But feel I've done ok today

Tomorrow will be full on at work but have a fridge full of fruit and greens, so I feel prepared for another good week

How are you all doing?

Good day here. My normal porridge with ground seed mix and fruit for breakfast, I've adjusted v quickly to no added sugar. Tomato soup for lunch with one solitary slice of bakery bread rather than half a loaf. Turned down cake at lunchtime and ice cream after a long walk this afternoon. We were later back so didn't have time to cook the roast dinner I planned, but improvised roasted veg and (weighed out, wholemeal) pasta, rather than my default freezer fish and chips. Strawberries for pudding.
I hope all this virtue pays off with some weight loss tomorrow!

Hi keep keep calm :)
I'm currently drinking wine out of a measuring jug! Saves washing the wine glass!

Report
HeySoulSister · 07/09/2014 20:39

Lol but won't you have to wash the jug still?

Well yes but jug was to measure my 200ml! So I'd have had both
Plus jug goes in dishwasher :)

I've been so bad. I was quite good wednesday and then had four playdates and parties and just binged on biscuits and cakes. I am an all or nothing sort of person and when I put my mind to it can be disciplined - just couldn't do it this week!

I am glad that the rest of you have had much better weeks than me and there are some losses. Good luck tomorrow bakintins and anyone else weighing. My weigh in day is Monday but I can't face seeing a gain so I'll wait a week.

Back to it jonny! Will you manage to restart ok? Because you can either do it now or a few days down the line and with a couple of extra lb to lose

Can I join in? Last year had a really bad running injury and put on steroids. Weight kept creeping and creeping, didn't realise how huge I was until the doc, ever so politely said you need to lose weight your obese. After spending the next few days sobbing, I decided to get healthy and fitter. So I cut out snacks/crisps/chocolate and basically everything that is yummy, and I switched meat to soya/quorn: I've just recently joined the gym too.

I'm currently 184.3lbs with a BMI of 33.7 (obese class I) my goal weight is 132lbs.

I don't lack the motivation, but I just find it helpful chatting to other people in the boat

Hi frog I was on steroids too as part of my treatment for recurrent miscarriage and put on loads of weight. Not complaining, since it worked Smile but it has meant extra lbs to try and shift now.

Mixed week, had a blow out Friday evening when we had a take out pizza as a treat and I ate far more than I needed too.
Overall I have done ok, managed 3 sessions at the gym which was the first time in ages and I really pushed myself. Pleased to report a loss, approx 5lb. which is better than I expected. Smile

I have tried but have only lost a pound in this week. I was sabotaged by delicious home made baking treats offered to me and I did not refuse. I am going to keep on.
