Well done rivier! Ive lost a lb :)
Happy with that as I'm doing a fair bit of strength training at the gym and I may have increased or maintained my muscle mass so that 1lb loss should hopefully be pure fat!

Good luck for weigh in everyone...eat well today, making healthy and nourishing choices :)

Well done on the weigh ins so far. I've lost 5lbs!!!!! So down to 16st 10lbs. That's 8 lbs for this challenge so far. I know I still have a long way to go but as soon as I get the next 2lbs off I'm resetting my starting weight. Small goals are really suiting me better.

I'm feeling really motivated right now but if history teaches me anything it's that this is when I need to keep on top of things the most. I have a bad habit of rewarding myself, getting over confidant and losing the plot completely!

dottyaboutstripes · 21/07/2014 09:48

Nice work, ladies Smile

trikken · 21/07/2014 10:10

Dont think I will have done good, had a maccyD and a Mcflurry late last night.

Mojito100 · 21/07/2014 11:15

I'm at 79.5kg so down which is good. I could have been a little better during the week. No exercise unfortunately so will aim for that. I took healthy options to work today but still did not get to eat them at healthy times. I wondered why I was hungry at 12 and it was because I hadn't had breakfast. I will aim to have a water before my coffee in the morning and see if that helps. Besides the healthy food I really need to work on my meal times. I have realised by doing this that I am all over the place. It will help in so many ways as well as make me take breaks from my desk.

Can I just say well fine to all for their efforts. Even if you don't lose you are more conscious if your choices and that can only be a good th

No losses here I'm afraid. Too much wine consumed over the weekend. DH is trying to lose as well, and he's suggested an alcohol embargo between now a d end of August when we go on holiday.
Tbh, I need him on board as he tends to be the one who buys wine in bulk when he sees a good offer, and obviously once a bottle's opened you can't waste it!
Well done everyone else.

Chicksville007 · 21/07/2014 17:04

So far today I've had 7 glasses of water and 2 slices of lean beef and 7 cherry tomatoes. 1 hours on the cross trainer and am just about to have a salad with no dressings or mayo. Followed by a bowl of mixed berries and 3 glasses of water and a cup of tea x

rivierliedje · 21/07/2014 17:52

Well done everyone. This group thread thing is really great for motivation!
Just eating some spinach and a veggie samosa for dinner.

dottyaboutstripes · 21/07/2014 19:41

Oh maaaan. A glass of wine dropped down my throat Wink
However, I've been sensible with what I ate(ish!) so a good day tomorrow and I hope to see a loss on Wednesday.
I agree this thread is helping me to focus, so thanks!

MrsDesperado · 21/07/2014 21:34

Good work on the losses everyone.

Weighed in this morning at 9st 5 1/4lb so that's 1 1/4 down this week (3 1/4 in total)

I'm pleased I'm down and I'm trying to focus on the fact that actually I'm a third of the way there already in only 2 weeks - yay! - but! I can't help wishing it was faster and I was there already! I went clothes shopping today for the first time in ages and what I saw reflected in the mirror was not good! I'm looking very flabby and saggy and I wonder how this has crept up on me and how long I've been walking around looking so bad for!

I am very worried that this is how I'll be from now on.
I'm the fat thin person Chicksville was talking about.

On a positive note I've been to a Metafit class today and I will go running a couple of times this week (despite the heat!). I need it to tone up.

I can't tell you how great this thread is for keeping up the motivation - knowing that I'm accountable here - but also hearing about everyone's progress really helps. I hope that when we all get to the weight we want to be we can continue this thread for maintenance.

MrsDesperado · 21/07/2014 21:35

Oh and the drinking only 2 nights a week has been a massive FAIL!!! Blush

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 21/07/2014 22:15

Metafit - haven't heard of that Mrs.
My new wine-free existence staets to orrow - got to finish last night's bottle Blush.

Chicksville007 · 21/07/2014 22:40

You get get some really good firming creams in boots now that will help with the saggy bits. Plus drink LOADS of water and if will help your skin ping back into shape but that will be the very last thing to happen. I'm 45 so I think my sag is here to stay :(

Still unless your wanting to show off your flesh grab some spanx, I swear by them xx

changeeverything · 21/07/2014 22:40

Yeah wine here too tonight and I didnt manage the only two nights alcohol this week either. But tomorrow is a nice new shiny week for us monday weighers :)

Well done on the losses so far and good luck to the ones who weigh later on on the week!

I had a big salad for dinner...ham, egg, beetroot, green leaves and some potato salad. It was yum!

Exercise wise...did a few upper body weight reps.

Hope you all had a good day, Im very grateful you all joined the thread. Have a good day tomorrow. Drink up
your water and eat mindfully, we can do this x

MrsD...maybe try some strength trainibg with weights as it will help build some more muscle tissue it will help fill and tone up the saggy bits.

Have cracked and had a brownie this morning. 294 calories extra to burn off today ladies x

lunar1 · 22/07/2014 16:37

Oh dear me too, how many calories do you think are in a home made pancake with lemon and sugar??

Chicksville007 · 22/07/2014 16:49

about 250 ish, how many did you have?

Chicksville007 · 22/07/2014 16:52

scrape that , just looked it up and it's 175

lunar1 · 22/07/2014 17:02

Just put my recipe into mfp, looks like it's about 280 cals with sugar and lemon.

MrsDesperado · 22/07/2014 18:45

Metafit is 'The original 30 minute metabolic workout that just keeps working!' It's basically a bodyweight interval class, it's only 15-20 minutes but quite intense, every week a different part of me aches so it must be doing some good!

Chicks thanks for reminding me about water, I'm really bad at not drinking enough, if it helps my skin ping back id be very happy!

Change funny you mention the you are your own gym book, I've been eyeing up his body by you book on Amazon, have you seen it? I'm wondering if there's much difference between them? What sort of exercise schedule does he suggest in yayog?

Day has been ok. Fruit/yoghurt for breakfast and salad for lunch. Dinner will be leftover homemade pizza. No snacks so far! Need to step away from the chocolate hobnobs after dinner unlike last night

I'm definitely eating more mindfully though, and I think my appetite has decreased a bit. This thread helps a lot.

changeeverything · 22/07/2014 20:06

''Body by you, the you are your own gym guide to total women's fitness' !!! Is the book I have Mrs D.

just got it last week. It has good advice on nutrition and some training schedules. there are variations in how you can do each exercise depending on your ability. Some use bodyweight or furniture as aids. Will post more later x
