Mornin'

Was sensible with food yesterday don't mention the half bottle of wine and went for a 6 mile run. Slept really well after that! did I mention the wine? Grin

9st 6.75 this morning which is -2lbs from yesterday. I don't really believe it's real, am probably dehydrated which will be a contributing factor, so won't be taking it too seriously but it's pleasing nonetheless.

Have a good day everyone.

twobambinos · 04/11/2014 10:49

hi girls im still here. i dont think ive lost much since i joined this thread.
9st 1. and want to be 8st 9 for the middle of december. that is 6 pounds. so im going to give it one serious attempt now to see if i can move the wobble.
we have a treadmill due to be delivered next week which should help because its too dangerous to run where i am at night and cant run during the day much coz have DDs to look after.

mrsdesperado well done on your 6 mile run. and the half bottle of wine. my last run was sunday after 5 vodkas saturday. only managed 6km but it was better than nothing.

lunar1 · 04/11/2014 22:29

Oh dear I dropped off the thread again. I'm now 14 stone 11 lbs. I've lost 4 since I last weighed in. So that's 4 towards my current 10 lb goal.

TheSpottedZebra · 04/11/2014 22:36

Oops, I've dropped off this thread too.
I'm doing ok ish though, I think. Since I posted, I've lost over a stone and half, but it has massively plateaued. And I've eaten all the things last week and this unfortunately.
Bit of a shame to see that I've lost all the weight from my boobs and shoulders, and my arse is still as fat as ever. I'm more triangular than pear now.

OMG I'm going to end up like Wizbit, aren't I? Without the Paul Daniels voice, hopefully.

Anyone want to join me to lose 10lbs??
TheSpottedZebra · 04/11/2014 22:36

That is since I first posted. Not since my last post.

MrsDesperado · 10/11/2014 07:23

How's everyone's week been?

I weighed in this morning at 9 st 8.75 which, if you ignore the freak -2lb weigh in during the week, means I've stayed exactly the same this week. I knew I hadn't lost anything as I can just feel it clinging on to my belly and hips.
I'm pissed off though cos I've eaten fairly sensibly this week, have run 14 miles and been to a metafit class.

We're going away at the end of Nov and I desperately want to get down to 9st (my happy weight). It's not going to happen is it?

I think I'm going to have to do my version of the 5:2 - I don't calorie count but I eat sensibly then two nights a week I skip dinner. So will do that this week and next. Shall save a few quid on food too!

Twobambinos when is your treadmill arriving? That's really exciting! I'd love a treadmill.

Wizzbit SpottedZebra well done on the stone and a half weight loss, that's brilliant. If you're worried about your shoulders/chest start doing pressups - they'll make a massive difference which will help balance you out. There's a few good apps out there to track your progress and remind you to keep doing it (it's an ongoing thing sadly...)

Have a good week everyone.

crappyday · 10/11/2014 17:56

Can I join? I'm just over 10 stone and really would like to be between 9&9.5 max.
I know it doesn't sound like much, and it's crept on slowly, but I've never had to worry about what I eat. Until now. So I'm a bit clueless really.
I've started running 3x a week, and going to try mfp to reduce my calories. Which sadly means I think Ill have to reduce the wine intake too.
My problem is that I love carbs. Bread, potatoes, rice, pasta. I can survive without cakes and biscuits, but portion control of main meals I find hard.

MrsDesperado · 11/11/2014 08:48

Welcome crappy sounds like you're on the right track. I try to go running 3x a week too, find it really helps slim me down but only if I don't compensate by eating more! It's a bugger in that running does tend to make you hungry.
I've found this thread really helpful, I lost a good half stone but then fell off the wagon with birthdays/weddings/weekends away and piled it back on again, so I'm back to square one. Hoping to sort it out quickly this time then maintain the loss - at least till Christmas!
Wine is a problem though.

twobambinos · 11/11/2014 09:09

Welcome crappy. Sounds like u have a good plan you have going.

Last week was a disaster started a fresh yesterday. 3 healthy meals a day one treat no more than 250kcal and if I need to snack between meals it has to be healthy yesterday I had a banana. Today will be melon if I need something. I made a pot of homemade veg soup yesterday too so I will have that for meals this week.
My main problem is my sweet tooth believe me one treat a day will be a significant reduction. I already do plenty of exercise but the new treadmill is up and running so hoping to do some intervals on that once or twice a week. I hope this will be the boost I need.

6 weeks to Christmas one final push girls and we will thank ourselves when we are fitting into something slinky for holiday season.

Oh ya and plenty of water too. Have a good day everyone

MrsDesperado · 11/11/2014 13:26

6 weeks till Christmas is that all!! That's all the motivation I need!

twobambinos · 12/11/2014 11:56

Mrsdesperado 6 weeks today to Christmas eve we can do it we can do it.
Today started off so well. Had melon and natural yoghurt for breakfast and then the twirl bar called to me from the press dammit. Did 5km top while dd was napping we were up very early today. She doesn't nap every day but on the days she wakes super early I put her in for a nap so had time to do my run.

Homemade veg soup and mccambridge brown bread for lunch so hopefully that will fill me up and keep me away from the junk.

How is everyone else getting on

MrsDesperado · 13/11/2014 09:03

Week going well so far, I've managed to resist most things naughty and haven't even had a single wine since Sunday. I'm hoping my resolve can stretch until tomorrow!
Went for a 3.5 mile run this morning and did the same on Tuesday.
No dinner on Tuesday night went to bed staving an had a crap night's sleep -not good!
Am planning on no dinner again tonight, I can do this!
Am still not feeling any slimmer whatsoever which is very annoying. Usually at this point my belly would have gone down a touch but for some reason this time it's being particularly stubborn. Not to be defeated though!!!!!
Keep up the good work everyone, your Christmas you will thank you for the decisions that you are making today!

crappyday · 14/11/2014 07:46

I was doing really well until last night when I gave in to the wine! But I had slimline tonic first, without any gin so that was less than it used to be.
But Id not had many calories during the day, so not too awful.
I'm trying to up my exercise too, but DCs and dark evenings don't help.
I'm trying to restrain myself from weighing myself every day in case I get despondent- saving it for Saturday when I'll have been doing mfp for 6 days in the hope I'll have lost a bit.

MrsDesperado · 17/11/2014 10:19

9st 7.5lb at weigh in this morning, so a modest 1.25lb loss. Was hoping for a bit more but only went running twice this week and also we had a blow out meal on Saturday night with lots of beer and wine so that probably didn't help.

Plan for this week is pretty much like last week in that I'll go out running twice and will skip dinner twice too.

Not going to get down to 9st for our trip away at the end of the month but if I eat sensibly whilst I'm away I'm hoping 9st will be achievable by Christmas.

How's everyone else doing? Has anyone else weighed themselves today?

twobambinos · 17/11/2014 17:14

mrsdesperado thats a great loss. dont be so hard on yourself. 9st by christmas is def achievable. im going for a week of better eating this week.
i ran 3 times last week for a total of 20.5km, a pilates class and 45 mins in the pool. hoping to do the same this week again just with better eating and am also going to try and walk a bit more with the buggy because its dry out there.
hoping to eat a bit better this week too. have not weighed in. will try not to weigh until next monday. i just find the weight is so slow to come off.

crappyday · 18/11/2014 13:51

I'm really chuffed- I've managed to lose 2lb!
This week not looking to be so good- the weather has put me off running and I ate too much on Sunday. But started back strictly yesterday food wise, and hoping that the rain will hold off so I can run tomorrow.
And I've stoppe reaching for a snickers when I'm peckish- celery, carrots & sugar snap peas my new choice of snack.

dottyaboutstripes · 20/11/2014 22:36

Hi! I've just rediscovered this thread, I was here in July/August and we were relocating so the stress didn't exactly help! 2 weeks ago I finally decided enough was enough and started to watch what I was eating again - I've managed to lose one poxy little pound in 2 weeks and 3 days. Hopefully there's a good loss coming by next week after I've tried so hard!
As for the relocation, we've been in s truly awful rented house but once our solicitor finally gets his act together, we will be able to exchange and complete on the house we are buying. Tentative plans were made for next week but the moron hasn't done things he claimed he had. Never ending house stress!

MrsDesperado · 24/11/2014 07:42

9st 4.75lb this morning so 2.75 lb down this week BUT I've had a sickness bug so although it sounds GREAT it's probably not all it seems!!!

Thanks for the encouragement twobambinos - I'm finding it's coming off much slower this time too, which is really frustrating. But I'm hoping this means it's more likely to stay off! I'm really impressed with all the exercise you're doing I need to step up my game! Hoping you see a nice loss if you weigh in today.

Congratulations on your losses crappy and dotty. Crappy you've reminded me that there are healthier things to snack on than chocolate biscuits Blush

Dotty I remember you talking about your moving house stresses, I hope your solicitor pulls his finger out soon so you can finally get settled, what a palaver! And don't be disheartened about the slow lb loss, I've found my loss to be really slow this time for some reason but I'm determined to not let it discourage me and actually it's making me work harder as I won't let it beat me - enough is enough!

Good luck with the weigh ins everybody, hope you all see some nice losses to spur you on this week

twobambinos · 24/11/2014 08:58

Well done mrs desperado hope you feel better soon. I weighed in and i have not lost a pound. I'm so confused. Maybe I'm at my body's happy weight but not mine. I'll try keep up the motivation anyway and hopefully something will move this week. Last week did 18km running, 4km bike, a Pilates class and an aqua class. Weetabix for brekkie wouldn't get excited but it will do the job.

MrsDesperado · 24/11/2014 21:03

Thanks two, feeling much better now.
That's very frustrating you've not lost anything this week. Hopefully it's just a temporary blip and you'll end up losing more than you'd expect next week. Try not to get disheartened. Loving hearing about all the exercise you're doing it's really motivating me!

Last week I only did 1 metafit class but did run 7 miles. Not sure if I'll fit much in this week as I've got a lot on and we're going away at the weekend. I really should try and do something as next week I'll not get much chance so my fitness will nosedive if I don't keep it up!
