I have been manic and been drinking and eating too much!
But I put in a great session at the gym yesterday and I h ae been decorating the house so figure I'm
Getting in a few extra calories burned! Also 2 booze free days so not too shabby.

Can I just say very well done to everyone!

The book is written in good, straight forward style, a bit of humour thrown in at times plus reminders that no matter what, we are in control of our own bodies...we can achieve if we stay focused. He even has a part on staying motivated and binning the excuses. EVOLVE...earn victory over life's vast excuses!

The exercises are divided into pulling, squatting, pushing and bending exercises with a lot of variations on each exercise to suit different abilities and to although for progress.

Think its been a worthwhile purchase :)

Tonight I had a bowl of salad and a small bowl of berries. I didn't get on the cross trainer but did 4 hours with ab belt on. Feel a little firmer around the waist tonight and I'm hoping a little lighter as well. I can see a little more of my collar bone. That must be a good sign x

dottyaboutstripes · 23/07/2014 07:51

Yippee! I just weighed in and I've lost 2.4lbs this week Smile somehow I managed to keep focus during a really stressful week re our relocation. The survey came back from the house we are buying and we don't feel like we can go ahead so now we have to look for somewhere to rent. Argh!

lunar1 · 23/07/2014 07:59

Well done dotty, brilliant loss.

Chicksville007 · 23/07/2014 08:04

Congrats x

Excellent news about house, you'll be so busy now you won't have to think about food plus you'll be more active packing and moving the weight will drop off xx

3 glasses of water to start the day.

nilbyname · 23/07/2014 08:28

Does anyones weight fluctuate wildly through the days? this is why I don't trust scales.

This morning, as soon as I woke up I weighed myself. I would 8st 8lbs. Yesterday morning I was 9st. A few days before that I was 9st 2. another day I was 8st 13.

It is quite annoying as I don't feel like I can trust the read out, but they are digital good quality (expensive) scales! grrrrrr!

In no way was this a stealth boast, in fact, let me go weigh myself again... 8st 12lb

Madness.

Chicksville007 · 23/07/2014 10:21

Your body will bounce 2 to 4 lbs per day. When you wake up and have a wee then stand on the scales you could be 8st. Then have some breakfast and go for a walk get on scales and be 8st 2lbs. Then later on during the day after dinner be 8st 3lbs. After a full day if food and exercise with your body at rest and you get on the scales and be 8st 2lbs.

Alway best to weigh once in the morning after a wee and poo when your at your most rested and empty x

changeeverything · 23/07/2014 11:04

I think the scales can only be one indicator of fat loss and my weight varies as the day gies on too. I find checking measurements is a useful thing to do and very rewarding. I have a tape measure and put a dot of nail varnish as a marker on my inch measurement for hips and tummy. Its been reassuring when I re measure that my new measurements are moving in the right direction from the markers.

I agree, I don't know how much I weight, I go by how my clothes fit, how I look and feel. If I had a set if scales I'd be jumping on and off them all day and fretting about every lb and how to lose it quicker.

Mojito100 · 23/07/2014 12:26

Thought I should say I have lost the plot. I don't know what's going on but I am starving at the moment and binged on chocolate and biscuits today. I seem very hungry over the last few days. I need to get it together.

Chicksville007 · 23/07/2014 16:53

Update: just jumped (flopped) off cross trainer after 1 hour slog. No nicer way to be it. Will be having bowel of salad and berries again tonight. Getting a little fed up with it but think I'm starting to hit my wall, if I can push on I'm hoping I'll stick with it.

Also, just finished period so no bloated tummy so feeling a little lighter today.

dottyaboutstripes · 23/07/2014 16:59

What protein are you having with all that salad?

changeeverything · 23/07/2014 18:36

Maybe adding some greek yog to the berries and some form of protein to the salad would help..fills you up as well as helping maintain muscle mass. Need to keep our metabllisms firing!!

Mojito..just start again now....dont worry about analysing, just do it! I find that's sometimes the only way fir me to get back on track. If I overanalyse it then I start thinking tgat its blown now so Ill just go off on a big eating spree! Its only been a few days, wont be a big deal if you focus again :)

Its so hot today..I just had a ham salad for lunch. Going out for dinner. ..will b a healthy, protein choice eg steak and salad. Maybe some wine, plenty of water.

hope you all have a good evening x

Do you know what I learnt today? That there are 510 calories in a box of just Brazils!

Oops, I think I'm going to throw the rest of the box away, or beat my husband up with the box. I'm seriously wondering if he is trying to sabotage me. Why would he buy them?

Oh well, I'm still under my cals for today on mfp.

lunar1 · 23/07/2014 20:15

Not a box, half a box, 9 chocolates.

trikken · 23/07/2014 20:25

Its scary isnt it. This is why I'm much better now as I know the value of what I eat. Before I lost weight I didnt have a clue and just ate what I wanted all the time.

Chicksville007 · 23/07/2014 21:34

I've been putting either 2 slices of ham, beef or chicken in the salad plus two boiled eggs. The berries are not a problem, I have blueberries, rasberries and strawberries and they are all yummy. Plus I'm still drinking tea so am having a little milk in that.

I don't feel tired or anything, still feel pretty active and able to run around after two boys. Will be taking them swimming soon so there's some more exercise to burn off calories.

changeeverything · 23/07/2014 22:42

Step away from the just brazils lol!

Brazils are gone, made dh eat the rest!

Love it jade, I can't believe how much crap I eat at times.

I've been reading through the 5:2 threads and think I'm going to give it a go. So will try to stick to 500 cals today. No idea how I will do, will repost tonight.
