Blimey change that is a workout at home! Kettle swings are a bugger!

dottyaboutstripes · 14/07/2014 21:28

I've come back to confess I've just stuffed my face. I just felt so hungry and shoved ice cream and choc covered pretzels in my big gob. ARGH!

Heathcliff27 · 14/07/2014 21:41

Hello all, can I join too. I'm just back from a week away and have stepped on the scales. 11st 3lbs, i'm 5ft 4. This is the heaviest I have been for a long long time, I seem to manage to lose a few lbs quite easily but then it just piles back on. I've been off work since April and go back on 5th August, this wasn't due to illness or anything like that, there was a fire and its been getting refurbished. I know once i'm back i'll shift the weight quicker but I want to kick start it.

I tend to just calorie count, i'm very exercise shy as well.

Dotty...get back on wagon tomorrow, it's a brand new day so nice fresh start :)

Mojito, dont worry about the slight gain...im hoping next weigh in will be a good one for all of us!!

Welcome heathcliff :)

I just wanted to say to all thank you. I feel I can be honest here so if I slip I can admit it and don't feel I need to hide it. It makes a big difference joining with you all on a common goal and also feeling supported even when I do go off in the wrong direction Smile.

I was back at work today as had day off yesterday and was really on track. Cooking fish for dinner tonight and will enjoy salad with it. I also managed water at work today and hope to have at least between 600ml to 1.2 litres tonight to stop my snacking. Keep going all. I need to do my measurements too so will do these tonight I'm determined to shift some this week.

Again, thank you for the encouragement and support.

nilbyname · 15/07/2014 19:25

No judgement here, let she who is without sin cast the first stone!

I had grilled chicken with green and soy beans and a spoonful of rice.

No gym tonight as dh is out. But planning on a 7am start tomorrow!

Tell me tails of triumph or woe?!

Heathcliff27 · 15/07/2014 20:06

Well i've been pretty good today, had big salad for lunch then chicken and cous cous for supper, unfortunately I now have a small glass of rose to hand. All in all though a better day than normal.

dottyaboutstripes · 15/07/2014 21:01

I stayed within my WW points but ate rubbish really. Though I did have fruit (polishes halo!)

MrsDesperado · 15/07/2014 21:45

Not too bad a day here: raspberries and Greek yogurt for breakfast, lunch was salad with peppers, cucumbers, chopped up bits of leftover spinach omelette, spicy Mexican cheese (yum!) and a handful of salted cashew nuts, and dinner was pizza - NO! not one of those dirty bad ones! It was one of DH's homemade healthier ones, not completely unprocessed as the base was made with flour (wholemeal!) but damn it was good!

Walked a few miles and have done a few some tummy exercises. I'm awestruck by some of the exercise routines that have been posted on this thread feels inadequate

I'm craving a biscuit or something but I'm going up have a cinnamon tea instead and go to bed.

Stay focussed everyone!

changeeverything · 15/07/2014 22:13

Hi everyone, sounds like everyone's had a good day Smile

Mojito, I have to join you in saying a big thank you to everyone. I've really enjoyed reading your posts, useful tips, menus etc. We will achieve this 10lbs challenge (even with the odd off day which we have all had and admitted to!!)

Back to work today...so.hectic. Banana for breakfast, no time for lunch and half a veggie bean burrito for dinner, could have been better but also could have been a lot worse I s'pose.

All the best for tomorrow, have a good day Smile

< focusses >
< ignores empty red wine glass >
Weirdly, I seem to have come in below my target calorie count (about 1500), in spite of the cheeky glass of wine.
Muesli for breakfast, baked spud with tuna and mayonnaise for lunch, and gluten free pasta with pine nuts, tom sauce and curly kale for dinner. Plus gf oatcakes and hummus as a snack.
I've done a Mutu workout (nothing compated to the sterling efforts here), which if nothing else helps with aches and pains (did I tell you I'm ancient?), so hopefully will sleep a bit better tonight.
Onwards and upwards!

Mojito100 · 15/07/2014 23:40

I'm feeling virtuous at the moment. Cooked up fish for dinner but when I looked at it for some reason it just didn't inspire me so made an omelette and enjoyed that instead. Have cooked some eggs as snacks for during the week and am taking leftover casserole for lunch to work.

The only problem with feeling virtuous is it can be a hard fall when you come crashing down off the pedestal you have placed yourself on. So.... I shall safely climb down off the bar stool and try as best I can to stick to my plans. Yippee no snacks after dinner last night either. More water required today and if it isn't raining I may try a walk at lunchtime.

lunar1 · 16/07/2014 08:13

Well done everyone, sounds like everyone is behaving this week!
I have had a really good two days but am having a wobble now, dh (the git) brought home a huge tray of homemade chocolate covered flapjack. It's staring at me, I'm sure I could here it calling me in my sleep!

I think I need to invite people over to eat it. What was his secretary thinking making it.

Heathcliff27 · 16/07/2014 09:21

Morning, big shopping trip today to get school shoes etc so lots of walking. We'll probably end up in some fast food place at lunchtime but i'm determined to have the slightlymore healthy option. Stuffed mushroom and salad for supper later. Need to increase my water intake as well. Have a good day everyone.

nilbyname · 16/07/2014 09:26

I'd have to put the flapjack up high put of site, or I would take it into school for the kids to eat. You are very strong!

Just been to the gym. Wasn't feeling it today so it was a bit half baked, but still better than not going at all.

Had an orange before I went, going to eat some grapefruit now And then I have to head to the shops to get afew bits in.

My tummy is my real problem area...any tips for shrinking it? (Might buy hemmariod cream...did anyone see that thread?!?!)

Working from home today which is always a challenge not to snack all day. Might have to go out to distract myself.

dottyaboutstripes · 16/07/2014 09:43

I weighed in. Down 0.6lb, which is good but it's actually still more than I was a couple of weeks ago! Still it's a step in the right direction.
I just ate some yogurt with a banana. Not sure what to have later - chicken for dinner, maybe a curry (without the extras but bulked out with lovely fresh veggies). The trouble is that we are trying to eat up what we have in the freezer before we move and we seem to have loads of crappy processed stuff!
Re tummy - that's my problem too but I've had 6 kids so my muscles are not what they were! I do find it improves with 30 day shred, must be something about the particular exercises in level one as it seems kind of sucked back in after a few days. I'm finding it hard to slot exercise in though as I have so much to do (it's the showering etc after rather than the actual exercise time if that makes sense?)

MaggieMcVitie · 16/07/2014 10:52

I know I'm late to the party but can I join? I'm 5'5 and 11st - would like to loose a stone. Also need to cut down on tea and coffee consumption and drink more water. So far today have had 3 cups of tea (see what I mean) and a banana, chicken salad planned for lunch...

Only1scoop · 16/07/2014 10:55

Can I join I know I'm a late arrival....

Currently 11.9 and dreaming about being 10 something....

Currently dipping in and out of sw....but not lost for 3 weeks

Wedding I attend and hol end of aug....
Good luck all Smile

Mojito100 · 16/07/2014 11:59

Welcome only1 and Maggie. All welcome and you're never too late in my opinion.

Not sure if I should have done this or not but re-weighed myself today even though it is only Wednesday and I weighed on Monday. I'm down to 79.4kg rather than the 79.9kg I was on Monday. Hooray the hormones have gone. I know you can go up or down in a week and my home scales aren't always reliable but let's hope it stays off until next Mondays weigh in.

Was good again today although didn't eat anything I had planned. Another day at work that didn't go to plan but I'm happy I didn't indulge in the wrong things

changeeverything · 16/07/2014 18:54

Hi everyone and welcome only1 and maggie :)

Ive had an omelette and sausages for lunch and the other half of last night's veggie burrito for dinner. All fine except the bread...but another mad day at work and no time to get anything else.

Everyone seems very motivated this week yayyyy!

Lunar ...get those flapjacks out of sight...way too much temptation!!

Nil, I had a nice flat tum when I was doing a lot of long, slow runs, cant rem the science of it all but its when pulse rate stays in the fat burning range...anaerobic rather than aerobic I think? But it took up a lot of time, running for 1-2 hours at a time, effective though!

hope you all have a nice evening, stay focused and all best for tomorrow :)

One piece of flapjack eaten, the rest were donated to the staff at ds2's nursery!

Heathcliff27 · 16/07/2014 21:22

Envious if your willpower! My lunch ended up at tgi's and I ate my whole days calories in one meal, just about. I didn't need supper though so I suppose its evened it out. I'm going to bed shortly so I can't eat anymore....tomorrow is another day.

Only1scoop · 16/07/2014 21:27

Thanks all....just going to catch up on what you have all been doing for some inspiration!! Smile

trikken · 16/07/2014 22:01

Had a good food day but cant face any exercise as feeling unwell. Really want a honeycomb icecream but am also going to bed so I can't eat as well.
