Mojito i used to skip breakfast too but i find it very helpful now. I try to stay away from smoothies and fruit coz it kicks off sugar cravings too early in the day for me and makes me want more. Usually have 2 Weetabix with milk. Sometimes a natural yoghurt and a slice of wholemeal toast with peanut putter or butter.
if im out for a nice brekkie i go for bagel with grilled rasher poached egg and tiny sprinkling of cheese. Could always leave half the bread.

i also like bacon medallions and the lightest Philly on toasted sesame bagel but no sure how healthy it is.

Mojito100 · 05/09/2014 23:06

Good to see you back twobambinos. I like your bagel idea for a breakfast out and next time I go out I will be trying this. Smaller portions is what has helped me lose weight so far and a half a bagel and poached egg sound perfect.

Change - just letting you know we are missing you. You are dealing with some incredibly stressful things at the moment so come back when you can. Don't feel guilty if your 10lb mission has gone sideways. It happens to all. Hope to see you soon.

lunar1 · 06/09/2014 08:25

Hmmm, I just started the weekend with a bacon sandwich! Will have to try and be good for te rest of the weekend. I have my gym induction on mondayShock

Mojito100 · 06/09/2014 14:16

Well I fell off the wagon this afternoon/evening. Had pizza for dinner then made meringues as was using up egg whites and also orange cake because I wanted to. Had too much meringue and some orange cake. Haven't done treadmill but will tomorrow and will be better with food too.

lunar1 · 07/09/2014 12:24

Having a small panic about my gym induction. I've got my clothes, trainers water bottle and bag plus paid the gym fees so I've spent a small fortune and therefor have to go. I'm just panicking I'm going to be really out of place. I'm sure it will be ok when I've been a few times but I'm nervous!

Mojito, I'm really tempted to make a batch of meringues now!

Mojito100 · 07/09/2014 15:01

Lunar. You'll be great at the gym. I have never really enjoyed exercise as an adult but now I have lost weight even just doing the treadmill this week had me missing it on the days I haven't done it. I never understood the concept of becoming addicted to exercise, and I'm not saying I am, but I feel differently this week than I have before. Maybe you will too. If nothing else go and enjoy the TV's at the gym while you're on the machines. Some time for yourself! I'm not convinced I will be a loss at my weigh in as I got on the scales again today and they were still stubbornly saying 78.9kg.

twobambinos · 07/09/2014 17:13

Lunar don't forget a small towel to wipe down machines after you use them gym etiquette u will do great don't be panicking.

mojito my scales are the same convinced they are broken

Mojito100 · 08/09/2014 10:17

Well my scales at my official weigh in this morning said 78.8kg so I will take that 100grams. Let's hope it's more next week. No treadmill today as have committee meeting tonight. Back into it tomorrow though. Good luck everyone with your weigh in.

trikken · 08/09/2014 12:44

I'm not looking at the scales for the next week as its my birthday tomorrow so been celebrating with family and friends all weekend. Still trying to be fairly good but just relaxed it a bit.

Mojito100 · 08/09/2014 13:56

Happy birthday Trikken. Enjoy the whole weekSmileWineCakeFlowers

twobambinos · 08/09/2014 16:28

Happy birthday trikken enjoy the celebrations.
mojito well done on the loss. Goodluck with the meeting and on the treadmill tomorrow keep up the good work

today so far so good well i did have a small packet of walkers baked 100kcal have also done 650 hula hoop's in each direction. I have done what i would call alot of exercise in the past week and been mostly good so if i do not see a loss on wed i am going to be really disappointed. And in not feeling any slimmer if anything i feel chunkier around the middle i just do not know.

lunar1 · 08/09/2014 20:56

Happy birthday Trikken.

I lost 1.5lbs last week so have now lost 0.5lbs over 3 stone. Did my gym induction and went for a swim today. I'm going again in the morning and he will give me a programme. Really hoping to lose 3 lbs this week.

lunar1 · 08/09/2014 20:58

Well done on the loss mojito, all in the right direction.

Brilliant exercise twobambinos you must be toning up well with all that hula hooping!

IScreamForIceCream · 08/09/2014 23:02

trikken - hope you've had a very happy birthday weekend, and that your day tomorrow is lovely too.

lunar -over 3 stone? Wow! That's amazing. I hope you are very proud.

So, 5 weeks ish in for me and I have lost 9.2lb. Quite pleased and I can def feel it in my jeans and belt. Still some way to go yet, it ow this thread is for 10 lb but I have more to 'spare'. I think I am going to continue cutting back for a while yet, I am finding it on but a little repetitive at times, tho that is probably as I cook big vats of soup which I then trough through.

A bit more work needed from me on the toning.

lunar1 · 09/09/2014 12:05

Well done IScream that's a brilliant loss. Do you know how much more ou want to lose?

IScreamForIceCream · 09/09/2014 12:46

I don't honestly know, lunar . My starting weight was 11st12, and I had probably been at 11st5 ish for a while until I put the last slab of weight on (so I am below where I 'used' to be -hurrah!)

I put 10st into mfp but I don't really know if that is achievable or sustainable for me, we shall see. Plus, and vainly, I am pear shaped with a long thin face - if I get too thin, and yes, that is a distant memory, I look gaunt and have no boobs, although still have a big bum. So I guess I shall see Grin

What about you, I know you said up thread that you're taking it in a series of smaller chunks -do you know where you want to end up?

lunar1 · 09/09/2014 12:59

If like to be a size 12, I'm not sure what weight that would be. I guess I'd like to be 10 stone, but that is miles away!

IScreamForIceCream · 09/09/2014 13:09

Oh dress size is a god way to look at it. Yes, I'd be happy if my bottom half was a 12 too!

lunar1 · 09/09/2014 14:58

Is anyone on here a 12? What do you think I'd have to weigh to get to that size?

Mojito100 · 09/09/2014 15:13

Well done to all on their losses and exercise.

I don't know what a size 12 would be weight wise. I wonder if our sizing is different to yours slightly. By memory it is. I only say this as I'm 78.8 kg which converts to 12.5 stone and I'm a size 16.

I would love to get to 70kg but do think this may make me look a but gaunt.

Anyway good luck whatever your goal. You guys are an inspiration to keep going. I must say no treadmill tonight either as had to work at home this evening to finish off big project. Definitely back into it tomorrow.

trikken · 09/09/2014 16:55

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Am having a brilliant time.

Im between size 10 and 12 now. Am ten stone 2 at 5'10. Was probably a generous size 12 at 11 stone.

MrsDesperado · 09/09/2014 20:15

Sorry for the absence another busy week...
Weighed in yesterday at 9st 2lb, I think that's 1/2 lb down from the previous week and 6.5lb in total. Slowly chipping away at it! Feel slimmer and my clothes are fitting better too. Must remember to take a waist measurement when I get a minute! Goto go go away this week on business and there'll be plenty of eating and boozing I'm hoping I don't undo this hard work! Think the weight loss is due to me starting running again, am going to take my running gear with me and finger's crossed I'll find the time. After the weekend things should be back to normal and my busy life will be normal again!

Well done on the losses everyone.

Happy birthday trikken! Hope you're having a fun day. I was sorry to hear about your pet rat, very sad.

Twobambinos my weight stayed stagnant for a couple of weeks, I was getting really fedup about it as I was being very careful and was exercising loads, then suddenly i started losing again for no apparent reason - so don't despair!!!

twobambinos · 10/09/2014 09:34

Well done on all the losses girls keep up the good work
good luck with the business trip mrs desperado
in a size 10 to 12 also but it varies hugely between shops. Just 5ft 2 so would ideally like to be no more than a 10 in any shop.

just weighed in and in down 1.5 for this week thank god i was starting to lose hope. 9st 1.25lbs so i have lost a measly 2 pounds in the last 3 weeks and 8 more to go for this challenge ?? slowly slowly.

its a lovely day out there hoping to get a run in later and have already done a bit of hooping this morning.

how is the treadmill going mojito.

IScreamForIceCream · 10/09/2014 10:59

Grin Grin Woo hoo! Grin Grin
Have weighed again and have now lost 11 lbs. Hurrah. Now at 11st1.
Am carrying on with my 'cutting back' - as I said before, as I do have a bit more that 10 lbs to go - hope it's ok if I stay with you on this thread? Much as I like lurking on other threads eg the Slimtember one, am nowhere near as hardcore.

twobambinos -e choing what MrsD said above about sometimes the weight loss takes its time to get going - that's exactly what happened with me, and if you were to read back on the thread, you will see that I was quite fed up about it!.

Mojito100 · 10/09/2014 11:13

Well done Mrsdesperado, twobambinos and iscream. All losses which is great. I realised in Tuesday why I had only lost 100grams last week and that was because I got my period. I hopped on the scales today and was at 78.4kg which is more what it should be. I'll be happy if I'm still at 78.4 next week.

Iscream I want to lose more than 10lb so will also stay on here even once I reach the first goal. It's not ideal to slip up but we are human and you guys are all so accepting of that.

I am back into the treadmill today and pushed myself by doing a programme rather than selecting manual setting. I needed to burn off lots of frustration so actually really enjoyed it and ran a fair bit if my 20 mins too. I did comfort eat some cake today as I was lacking the will to live at work and needed the pick me up. Hopefully the treadmill counteracts that. I'm having an omelette for dinner.
