1.5 pounds down this week, so just over 8 in total.
On SUnday I'm running a 5k with a friend who wants to do it in less than an hour.

twobambinos · 23/09/2014 09:04

Oh mojito sorry to hear that.you will be back on track in no time. Hope you are doing ok and things are ok with your son.

Well done riverliedge good luck with the 5km.

The penny has finally dropped with me even tho the message is everywhere u cant outrun a bad diet. ?? so despite my heaps and heaps of exercise I need to cop on and stop justifying all the treating myself just because ive had a good week exercising. Bummer. So today ive started the day with a slice of wholemeal bread and a poached egg and a cup of hot water and half a lemon sqeezed in.

Mojito100 · 24/09/2014 15:18

Twobambinos - I'm with you. Justifying what my food choices are because I've been on the treadmill is not working for me. I have fallen off the wagon and been making really bad food choices so I'm starting again tomorrow. I won't beat myself up as that doesn't help but just start to make healthier and filling choices. I'm going to have a poached egg for breakfast tomorrow and a healthy salad for lunch. Thank god for all you wonderful ladies who are keeping me in track.

twobambinos · 24/09/2014 18:18

Mojito I really feel the poached egg fills me up but I couldn't eat it everyday.
I'm allowing myself one treat per day now and I'm not going to beat myself up over it. I feel that's a happy medium.
Onwards and downwards tomorrow is a new day. Never got to weigh in today but I'm sure it was a blessing in disguise.

Did 6.5 km run and walked about 3 km today. Tomorrow is my busy day two classes.

lunar1 · 24/09/2014 19:59

Well done on the loss riviera, 1.5 is brilliant.

I'm another one who seems to have lost the plot. I'm still exercising but I'm making terrible food choices. I think it's because I come back from the gym starving and just eat the first things I find.

I've just made up a salad with lots of protein and put it in the fridge for when I get back tomorrow. Hopefully this will stop me eating chocolate and crisps and half a loaf of toast!

I've come too far to put it all back on now.

Mojito100 · 25/09/2014 09:36

I just wanted to say thank you for all being so honest about your successes and also those times you have gone awry. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who isn't perfect and has moments of regression. Also thank you for your continued support. This thread has been a god send.

Today has been a better food choice day by far but I have to watch myself tonight. I missed lunch without even realising so will snack badly if I'm not careful. I'm either going to make a big salad or use up the fruit I have in abundance at the moment.

IScreamForIceCream · 27/09/2014 13:09

Agree, Mojito - it's lovely to come here and know that there is a raft of understanding encouragement.

I think I'm 'plateau-ing'. But more likely, I've relaxed a bit too much and portion sizes have got a little bigger, I've started to sneak in just a little bit of cheese here, just a tiny biscuit there...

Right - back on it!

twobambinos · 27/09/2014 15:01

Sure all we can do is dust ourselves off and carry on. None of us is perfect. Keep up the good work mojito and iscream. I'm hoping for a loss this week even if its only a tiny one.

Mojito100 · 28/09/2014 01:45

Thought I would update you all. Not doing well but not doing badly either. Today is a write off as I am out at a special event with my boys and it will be junk food all the way. I can't seem to budge off 78kg. I should be happy with that as that is obviously what my body thinks is about right for me but I would like to be a few kilo less. Keep moving forward is what the say.

Other than the wonderful day we are going to have as a family the only other blessing is that you walk all day at this event so I'll try to ensure I minimise intake and hopefully there will be baked spuds somewhere that I can have instead of something fried. I hope you are all having a good weekend.

IScreamForIceCream · 28/09/2014 10:05

Hope you have a lovely day, Mojito.
Interesting thought that you may have found the weight that is right for your body.

trikken · 28/09/2014 13:07

Sometimes I stall for weeks then get a good weight loss.

Mojito100 · 28/09/2014 14:08

Actually not too bad food wise today. Baked spud for lunch and coffee. Did have fairy floss at the end but didn't enjoy it so left two thirds of it. I'm super busy this week so won't kid myself about the treadmill but on holidays the following so will pick it up again then.

MrsDesperado · 29/09/2014 10:04

Hello all,
After a crazy month of weddings, conferences and a weekend away eating and drinking too much with friends, I'm 5lbs up. I'm not remotely surprised at this as my eye has been off the ball for pretty much the whole of September. I'm determined to get back on track and resume the regular exercise, healthy mindful eating and moderate alcohol intake regime I had before. I realise that if I'm to keep these 10lbs I want off off, being on track needs to be the normality. I think the occasional slip up is ok, but when it becomes several occasions spanning a month it spells trouble!
I've not had chance to read through everyone's posts but I will catch up throughout the day. Hope everyone is still doing well!

trikken · 29/09/2014 18:04

Ive had a crazy month of birthdays. Been eating sensibly today and hula hooped yesterday for 52 mins. Will be doing more later when dh goes for his night shift and kids in bed. Had way too much fried food this week.

twobambinos · 29/09/2014 19:22

Ate way too much today full stop :)

Mojito100 · 29/09/2014 22:58

It must just be a funny old time for all if us food wise.

trikken · 01/10/2014 08:04

Worked yesterday so that took my mind off food. Had a pretty good eating day. At home today, as long as I don't pick at the soft liquorice I will be fine.

rivierliedje · 01/10/2014 08:36

No loss this week, but no gain either. I had a bad case of 'I can't keep my hand out of the biscuit tin' this weekend. And had terrible insomnia, which led to melancholia which is probably why I had to have all the biscuits. Anyway, ran a 10k race on Sunday which I was very pleased to finish in just under an hour and now I'm pretty much back on track foodwise.
I'm quite pleased with September on the whole, lost just over 8 pounds.

twobambinos · 01/10/2014 08:50

ok i had a loss this week. a tiny loss but still.
down to 9st 1. 8pounds to go to my goal but like u said mojito i think maybe my body thinks this is the right weight for me but i would like to be a few pounds lighter.

i know its all down to diet with me because i do a fair share of exercise so hopefully i can reign in the eating a bit more. ive joined the october challenge thread too so im going to post my plan of attack over there too,

riveliedge well done 8lbs is a great loss. and congrats on the 10km. its a great feeling finishing in under the hour.

TheSpottedZebra · 01/10/2014 12:15

IScream here, I have reverted to an old name as I no longer scream for ice cream. Well, sort of.
So, 1st October and it is 2 months that I have been on this thread, and 'paying attention to what I eat'. Ie not a diet as I can't go back to how I ate before. Weight loss has been ok I think - the geek in me has worked out my average weekly weight loss as 1.75 lbs per week so ok I guess? But plateauing now a bit and I suspect that is due to the fact that I am starting to let more snacks sneak in.

So -new month, newish name, new focus. And I need to do more exercise I think, esp toning things so have measured bits I need to focus on. You lot put me to shame wih all that running, but unfortunately my knees are shot so it's low impact only for me.

Mojito100 · 02/10/2014 04:02

Hi Zebra - I'll have to remember you're not screaming for ice cream anymore - well done.

I've just about broken the back of budgets at work and things have settled down with DS2 as he is on school hols here so I am committed to getting back on the treadmill tonight. I feel like I have the headspace and desire to do it again.

I know I'm an expert at excuses and justification so putting this behind me for a week and committing to the treadmill again.

Hope you are all going well and if not managing to stick to your plans at least keeping things at the forefront of your mind so you don't go completely off kilter.

twobambinos · 02/10/2014 10:03

Hey mojito I'm glad things going ok at the moment for you. Go for it with the treadmill and fingers crossed for a loss this week.

So far so good for me for the month of october ..... Its very early in the day of the 2nd.long may it last. I've joined the october challenge thread going to try really hard this month as want to start looking for a killer outfit for Christmas and I'm between sizes at the moment.

lunar1 · 02/10/2014 13:46

I'm creeping back in, I gained a pound when I weighed in, really hope I've lost it by the time I weigh in on Monday.

Mojito100 · 02/10/2014 14:13

I'll creep with you lunar. I've gone up not down.

lunar1 · 02/10/2014 14:20

Just remember where you started mojito!! Even with a gain I've still lots over 3 stone.

I can't actually remember where I'm up to in the lost 10lbs this time round. So I'll start again.

I'm currently 15st 6 lbs and would really like to lose 10lbs. Still going with my small goals. I'll get there eventually. Grin
