I'm loving the photo sharing too. I'd have done tonight's dinner but it didn't last long enough. Blush

I went for a walk along the river Bollin this afternoon with dd. we had a picnic lunch and we were out for about two hrs. Whoever talked about cheshire's rolling plains is a liar! I definitely climbed some steep hills today!

Good exercise though. :)

WannaSplitAPineapple · 15/07/2014 20:03

Thanks ladies, I'm slowly getting there.

I'm jealous of your lovely meals. I went on a bike ride instead of good shopping so think I'm just having an omlette for tea. I love the photos, gives me inspiration not reasties Freddo

I think a need a spiral cutter. It's in my amazon basket awaiting payday although knowing me I'll use it once and it'll go in yh

WannaSplitAPineapple · 15/07/2014 20:05

Oops, I fell off the thread again!
I've been in Ireland all weekend at my clan gathering. Lots of meeting people, lots of buffets and hardly any sleep. Coaches everywhere so didn't get much chance to walk either.
Everyone said I was looking too slim and needed to stop losing weight (I think they're just jealous that I've kept it off all year).
Back on it today, I have a journalist from the local paper visiting this afternoon to interview me about my new book, so I need to look presentable (and so does the house).
Re. Waist measurement, I was always an hourglass figure, even when my BMI was 38 my waist was 28in, it's now 23in.

TheOneWithTheHair · 16/07/2014 08:10

Ooh exciting IMST. What paper is it? Any sign of the hard copy yet?

Bit of inspiration for you all this morning.

Wow!

InMySpareTime · 16/07/2014 08:48

Messenger, probably be in next week's (tying in with a Tour De France article). I'll post a link when it's up.

The messenger is just one of our local freebie papers, but they put content online.
Storytelling is going well, I have a full day gig at a local school on Friday, a summer fair on Sunday, and two library workshops over the summer holidays.
Got out on my bike today so I feel much better for the exercise!

WannaSplitAPineapple · 16/07/2014 14:02

Wow that story is amazing, defo inspiration for us. It is more changing your approach to food than seeing it as a diet. IMST you've done really well to keep it off. Do you mind me asking how much you lost I'm nosey

I found swimming did nothing for me. I was doing it for about 5 weeks and saw no difference. I feel like I can work up a bit of a sweat on the bike and get a little out of breath.

reastie that soup does look amazing and I don't even like soup!

Reastie · 16/07/2014 14:36

Thanks, I will freely admit it's cheats soup - Covent Garden Pea and Mint soup! Pea and mint soup is the easiest ever, I'm just really lazy sometimes Blush

IMST sounds like it's all go with you and your writing, that;s fab.

Struggling for exercise here now DD off school, feeling bad already about cutting down, I really need those 2 hours a week to work out. DM is taking DD tomorrow morning so I can do a workout, but that's is for this week :(

InMySpareTime · 16/07/2014 14:39

Wanna, I lost 5 1/2 stone, dropped from a size 18 20 to a size 6 and from BMI 38 to 23.

WannaSplitAPineapple · 16/07/2014 19:12

reastie how old is your DD? Couldn't you rope her in on a bike ride or at least chase her around the park?

Wow IMST that's brilliant! You're my new inspiration. I'm a 14 and can't imagine ever being a 10 never mind a 6! You must be so proud of yourself.

Reastie · 16/07/2014 19:29

pineapple she's 3, I tried on Tuesday taking her out with me. It ended out she held one end of 2 skipping ropes and I held the other ends and did high knee runs whilst she ran behind me. It worked for about a minute. Then we did walks up and down the path in varying types of exercises (like lunges/side kicks etc), but it wasn't really much of a workout and she always gets in my way and I panic about kicking her. I take it quite seriously and need to concentrate on what I'm doing, it's the one 'me' thing I kind of insist on (I have to to get it done).

You see IMST I feel a bit cheated as you've dropped more clothes sizes than me but less weight, it's not fair

InMySpareTime · 16/07/2014 19:50

I'm putting the size drop down to my lack of height. I'm only 5ft, there wasn't much height to distribute the excess weight around!
I dropped about a size per stone overall.

WannaSplitAPineapple · 16/07/2014 20:02

How much have you lost reastie? I suppose 3 is that awkward age where they need lots of attention, too young to join in, too old to lay there content. Does she still nap? My friend spends the hour her DD naps doing an exercise dvd. Unfortunately my DS doesn't believe in napping in his cot during the day so I don't have that luxury. Let's hope you can rope your mum in once a week so you get a minimum of one decent work out.

Reastie · 16/07/2014 21:07

Pineapple dd hasn't napped for yon k s, and when she did I had to walk her to sleep. Slowly. Or she wouldn't go down! She has always been awkward with sleep, and by the time I'd get home from walking her to sleep I'd only get maybe ten minutes before she woke up. I've lost 100lbs, which is about 7 stone :)

WannaSplitAPineapple · 16/07/2014 21:18

Bloody hell reastie that's amazing! Is that just exercising twice a week and watching what you eat? I'm very impressed. My problem is I start exercising, don't see results quick enough so give up. I really need to be a lot stricter on my eating habits but I don't want to be too strict that it's too hard to keep up.

Reastie · 17/07/2014 07:10

It's completely down to this thread. Honestly, I would never succeeded if it weren't for these lovely ladies helping me Thanks . I gradually decreased what I was eating and gradually increased and upped exercise. Of course that makes it sound easy, and it isn't! I try to do 4 workouts a week (I do 2 at week ends, it's the 2 in the week I struggle with). I started off at the gym, but decided it was too expensive for how much I was using it so have been doing home workouts instead. Actually, pre DD I went to the gym and on a good week did 2 step classes a week, a toning workout, an aerobics workout, a yoga class, and half an hour in the gym after one class, but I think I'm actually fitter and more toned now than I was then, just shows it's not the amount of exercise but the type.

Taking DD out today and I may be contemplating taking us for a pizza for lunch, hmm, not great on the calories...

WannaSplitAPineapple · 17/07/2014 07:27

I love that the beginning of the post is all motivated and it ends with pizza!

Reastie · 17/07/2014 07:52

Grin . I just looked up pizza express (they do gluten free) where we're going and they have a food hygiene rating of 1 out of 5, which is a dire rating, must be seriously awful, so it's put me off going and am looking into where else we can go, so might still be healthy choice..

StealthPolarBear · 17/07/2014 08:16

Hi everyone
enjoy your pizzs reastie!
I have the weekenf to myself so need to make good choices! Dh is taking the children camping
