I'm in! Actually been really good since Wednesday, when DH declared 'No more Crp in the house after I trounced him in an uphill sprint and he was shocked at how long it took him to recover!

So we've had three meals a day, no snacks and he's been out for a walk every morning and I did my double shift at the gym yesterday.

I think it will be much easier with him on board, often I'd get home from work to find he'd put a 5 pack of snickers in the cupboard because they worked out cheaper than buying just one!

AF arrived this morning, which brings it's own woes for me, but trying to remain positive and look forward.

Hope everyone is well.

Last week I tipped the scales at 150. Which for me is horrendous. Today, down to 147 which is still too high, but any more than that in a week was frankly impossible wasn't it?

stealth pleased to meet you!

WannaSplitAPineapple · 14/07/2014 11:07

Wow kato that's a brilliant loss. Well done on getting DH onboard. I wish I could. It's hard to be healthy when he's sitting with a pack of biscuits. Sorry to hear bout AF.

toe do you think the not what you wanted weigh in will give you a kick up the bum to be good this week?

Haha reastie I did think it was a bit extreme but I'm not having much success with eating healthy and doing exercise ok part of that may be because for the past two weeks I've only done a few bike rides instead of the gym.

I may join you in fish for tea one it's the only meal I can do that is healthy, anything else I slip up on adding sauces etc.

Welcome stealth Wink I hope you are ready to be dedicated to your weight loss, we're all very strict.

I've been to adsa this morning and got a tape measure so I'm off to do all my measurements and see what transformation I can do in a week and a half.

Reastie · 14/07/2014 15:29

Hi all, Not great but not terrible today. Went out to lunch with DD and had baked potato and cheese but took off alot of the cheese (I don't know if it's since WL but they always put SO MUCH blinking cheese on).

kato boo to AF, how long did TTC take with Robin? I just remember how awful and stressful I found it (when it's suppose to be fun I guess).

I'm debating giving up sugar and being strict with my diet health wise, but I'm not sure as my diet is so restricted as it is but I keep hearing about fitness and how food is so much part of the battle to getting results. I'm not awful, but I could do better. but then, no treats ever would just be boring surely.

ToeFluff · 14/07/2014 20:21

Ok. So I forgot to factor in my mil's 70th birthday today.... 3 Bert large glasses of rose and far too much party food. Avoided cake though and only had grapes and a slim a soup during the day so I dunno how I did!?

TheOneWithTheHair · 14/07/2014 21:17

I think you need to think of it as an evens day. It sounds ok to me.

This is a pic of my dinner tonight. I think it made a pretty plate so I thought I'd share. :)

Reastie, there's no way I could give up sugar! I know myself well enough to know it would make me binge.

Good luck if you decide to do it.

KatoPotato · 14/07/2014 22:01

Hi guys! reastie Robin was a surprise that I never knew I was pg until 20weeks!

Here's my spiralizedd dinner!

Does cutting out sugar mean no fruit?

TheOneWithTheHair · 14/07/2014 22:37

Kato, can you explain what that is for and what benefits it brings? I've never heard of it. I know I could Google but this is friendlier.

KatoPotato · 14/07/2014 23:00

Well it just cuts vegetables up into a nice shape, but with courgettes you can use it to replace noodles or pasta as it has the same texture but far less calories!

Hi eighty, good to see you back.

Thanks for explaining Kato. I can't decide if it's great or wierd.

I've been thinking about people going AWOL from the thread. You know, we can only help each other if we keep posting. I felt like crap when I was away from the thread and the longer it got, the worse I felt.

Thing is, it was always there, in the back of my mind, when I was eating badly and not exercising so I realised I had to come back.

I love the openness here.

KatoPotato · 15/07/2014 00:04

I know, it's so silly. I felt like if be letting everyone down by letting you know I'd epically fallen off the wagon?

Now here I am, going to try my best and not slink off when I fail because actually, that's when I bloody need you's!!

Reastie · 15/07/2014 07:13

hair that dinner looks delish and kato the spirilizer things looks great, I wonder if it would get DD to eat vegetables Hmm . I'm now debating whether to get one for work as I have a student doing a project on designing new school meal dish for children, and I'm thinking this might be a great way to get them to eat veg/look like an exciting idea. Btw how do you cook the veg? I'm thinking boiling might be too soggy, and baking too burnt/crisp, and I'm guessing not deep fried! FWIW IMO no sugar wouldn't include fruit, I more mean no processed sugar or artificial sweetener, just to be healthier, I'm still undecided though.

Hello eighty lovely to see another new poster Grin

KatoPotato · 15/07/2014 10:11

DS loves eating the courgette raw when it's spiralized!

I made 'noodles' and put them in a stir fry and they were amazing, honestly!

KatoPotato · 15/07/2014 10:12

The other cooking methods, I put on my my blog post

Reastie · 15/07/2014 11:15

I'm going to have to try this, can you do carrots or butternut squash? Courgettes give me a bad taste in my mouth like a bin after I eat them (is that just me?!)

KatoPotato · 15/07/2014 11:53

carrots, sweet potato (delish in the oven with garlic olive oil - like curly fries!)
Beetroot, butternut... everything!

*not on commission, promise!

are you on pintrest? loads of idea there

Reastie · 15/07/2014 12:21

yes I do pinterest sometimes, but try not to, it's too addictive!

In the interests of sharing food pictures, here's my lunch, there's quinoa hidden under there!

WannaSplitAPineapple · 15/07/2014 13:29

Look at all the healthy food being consumed! It puts my sandwich to shame.

kato you should be on commission, you've sold it to me and I haven't even read your blog yet.

I've lost another 1lb this week and I'm going for a bike ride tonight. DS is going to mums for tea so I should be able to get a good run (knee permitting)

reastie I couldn't cut out sugar completely, if nothing else I drink a lot of squash. I am trying to cook from fresh where possible and I've got the hairy dieters on order. I showed it to fussy DH and even he said it looked good.

What is everyone having for tea tonight? Your photos all look so yummy you can inspire me with healthy ideas.

KatoPotato · 15/07/2014 14:36

I'm doing a 'zoodle' and beef stir fry tonight! I will take pics!!

TheOneWithTheHair · 15/07/2014 14:48

Lamb kofta, new potatoes, salad. I think I eat quite ordinary food, i.e. non diet, but I do watch how I cook it. The kebabs will be done on the George Forman tonight.

Well done on your 1lb loss wanna. You're heading in the right direction now. :)

Reastie · 15/07/2014 18:21

kato which spirilizer have you got? Am looking on amazon and feeling confused.

I took a pic of my dinner but my computer can't find it ATM, will load it later, is it just me being sad finding the picture sharing fun?! Blush I didn't photo my freddo frog I ate this afternoon though

Reastie · 15/07/2014 18:22

KatoPotato · 15/07/2014 19:20
