Haha thanks toe I managed to resist. I think it helped that I had just tried my holiday clothes on and nothing fits. I must have put on more than I realised in the last year Sad

ToeFluff · 12/07/2014 09:07

Right then people. It's a new day and I am going to be really strict with myself, I can allow treats and days off when I'm back in control but right now I'm all in. In fact I'm setting a challenge... 7 days with no slip ups - I don't mean a biscuit here or there that's counted in. An actual whoops moment, no I'll just eat this mountain and start fresh 2morrow for 7 days. Who thinks they can do it?

Ps I did day 1 of 30 squat today, will feel that this arvo!

Will do shred tonight as no time, ds has a birthday party today and I haven't even got a gift yet. Hate buying for someone I don't know.

TheOneWithTheHair · 12/07/2014 10:36

I'm up for that. I'm sorry I didn't come back on yesterday but I was up until 2.30 doing stuff for the PTA fun day today. It's nonstop here all day so that will help.

Good news is that because I spent so long doing the PTA stuff, I forgot to eat dinner so that sort of makes up for the cake I had when ds2 was eating.

StealthPolarBear · 12/07/2014 12:17

2.30!!!!
Afraid today is a write off. Stick at it you lot and I will be back TOMORROW

Hello hello I'm back from holiday and back to get you all into gear and into line

Stealth today is NOT a write off, you need to stick with it and on it even if part of the day hasn't gone well. NO EXCUSES!

toe good plan for the 7 days, I find that sort of thing works with me (unless I fail, then it makes me feel even worse about myself, but we'll not dwell on that).

Hair sorry about the holiday :( Can't you get your money back if the govt have declared it's unsafe to travel there?

Stealth was it you asking about IoW? How old are your DC? I can give some recommendations if you like? We had a fab time, sad to come home :( Wasn't that great OK not good at all with food BUT I managed 4 workout DVDs whilst there. Will weigh in tomorrow and hope that I have maintained.

You know, I've been looking through my holiday photo's, some of them I think to myself 'ohh, I look quite slim/not too bad' but alot of others I think 'my tummy is overhanging/my double chin looks terrible' etc etc. Makes me realise, I'll NEVER be completely happy. Yes, I'm a world away from when I actually had nothing about myself I liked, which was a really nasty time for me from a self confidence point of view, but I need to work on accepting me for me and how I look. I will never look 'perfect'.

Reastie · 12/07/2014 15:00

Oh, and I heard on the news they're changing the threshold for gastric band surgery to people with a BMI over 30. My BMI was 39 Shock . That really made me Shock .

KatoPotato · 12/07/2014 16:14

Never mind bmi, my waist was 39!!

KatoPotato · 12/07/2014 16:14

Good to have you back. We've been shocking!!

Reastie · 12/07/2014 18:25

Ha kato I can beat you - mine was 41 (gah it's only fun to have this conversation now it's not still the case)

KatoPotato · 12/07/2014 20:27

I've went crazy with my new spiralizer gadget today, had mackerel with courgettte noodles and baked sweet potato fries.

ToeFluff · 12/07/2014 22:11

Is waist around your belly button or the bit that should go in if you are an hour glass? Few inches below where bra sits?

ToeFluff · 13/07/2014 11:40

I've posted twice and snot working. Huff

KatoPotato · 13/07/2014 13:26

It's the 'in' part toe. If you bend to the left and right it's the part of the bend? Does that make sense?

Just done kettlercise straight into spin. I'm burst!

WannaSplitAPineapple · 13/07/2014 14:39

Has anyone ever looked at the calories in coconut? I've just had what I thought would be a healthy snack only to scan it on MFP to find its almost 400 kcal for 100g!!!!!! I could have a bar of chocolate for less calories!

TheOneWithTheHair · 13/07/2014 15:56

Perhaps stick to pineapple! Grin

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Reastie · 13/07/2014 16:09

toe I just measure the smallest bit between my boobs and hips Grin . I measured my waist this morning and my waist was 32 inches ok more like 33 or 34 so that's actually quite a Shock reduction.

pineapple yeah coconuts are deceptively fatty, so are hummus and nuts, but they have more nutrition than chocolate, so you are still kind of being healthy, or making healthier choices. I remember I used to have a 'nine bar' every day which I thought was really healthy (it's like a carob and seed type snack bar) then one day looked at the nutrition and it was more calories and fat than a proper sized chocolate bar. I swear it were those nine bars (I didn't eat 9 at a time, that's what they're called!!) that made me put on so much weight when bfing as I was hungry all the time and picked them as a healthy snack. No wonder they did such a good job at filling me up!

Weighed in this morning, 145.6 lbs, which is great considering I'm usually between 146 - 168, very occasionally 145. Hoping it's not a freak measurement and all that walking on holiday to and from the car to the beach actually helped work off the chocolate consumption.

TheOneWithTheHair · 13/07/2014 18:29

Ok, I'll join in. I just measured my waist and it's 30.5 inches. I am curious to see what my weight is now. I think I'll weigh after ds2 has gone to bed. Then I can do it in private.

TheOneWithTheHair · 13/07/2014 19:58

So I weighed myself. 11st 1lb which is not as shocking as it could be. I've got 1.5 st to lose for my ideal BMI. That's almost exactly the same as in January so at least I'm maintaining not gaining with my ups and downs. I feel less depressed now. :)

ToeFluff · 13/07/2014 20:56

Well, the difference between my waist and belly button is significant!

Not sure what the point of a waist measurement is though as it's the belly bit that has to fit in trousers (that conjures a horrible image of tucking it in - I don't have to do that yet)

Spent the day watching a charity cricket match, took lots of fruit with me but ended up eating ds's crisps! Still under calories though so it's all good.

Good luck for official weigh in tomo, I wish my weight was the same as any of yours though...boooo!

WannaSplitAPineapple · 13/07/2014 22:39

Haha pineapple it is! I wouldn't mind but the coconut didn't even fill me as a snack. I was hungry half an hour later.

Wow reastie I hope my post holiday weigh in is half as good as yours!

I've just been googling some exercises for my erm shall we say my spare tire, its kinda below my obliques but above the top of my legs and yes it looks as bad as it sounds and the best answer google can come back with is liposuction!

I need to invest in a tape measure, god knows what's happened to mine. I will then report back, as with toe I don't think its my waist that's so much the problem as my tummy!

StealthPolarBear · 14/07/2014 07:12

Hi can I join? I am a totally new poster, never met any ofyou before but would like to join in and lose weight.

Welcome back on the bandwagon Stealth. Grin

From today, the only way is down!

Do you want to confess or put it behind you?

ToeFluff · 14/07/2014 07:36

Morning!

Totally depressed at my weigh in. But what goes on must come off so just have to keep going.

Blurghh!

Reastie · 14/07/2014 07:44

Hello stealth nice to meet you and have a new poster aboard Grin

toe uh oh, care to share the results of the weigh in?

pineapple liposuction? That's rather extreme!

Hair maintaining is no mean feat, don't keep putting yourself down.

TheOneWithTheHair · 14/07/2014 10:06

Thanks Reastie. :)

So who is feeling motivated today? I actually feel quite positive. Dh is out tonight so I can go lighter with dinner. I'll probably have fish of some sort.

It's a rare peaceful morning. So good for having a word with myself and sorting my thoughts.
