Glad to see you are all behaving this week and doing lots of exercise.

I'm having a bad week, I've got 3 weeks until my holiday and despite watching what I've been eating and actually exercising for several weeks now I can't see any difference. Top it all off and my knee has flared up so now I can't do any exercise Sad and when I get fed up I comfort eat like the toffee cheesecake I've just eaten

Reastie · 04/07/2014 18:03

pineapple that's rubbish re: your knee, can you do swimming? or arm exercises or something so at least you feel like you're working on it?

Today hasn't been great. Chocolate dipped strawberries were eaten. How can I say no to that as a dessert at the work buffet? Only snag was I then realised the chocolate might not be gluten free, asked the kitchen staff and indeed turns out it probably isn't gluten free. The tummy bloat has started, please let it not get too painful as I'm off on holiday tomorrow Confused . That'll teach me for having chocolate!

Reastie · 04/07/2014 18:05

Oh, forgot to say stealth plyo is jumping training, so lots of squats and lunges with jumps etc. It's one of those love to hate things but feels so great afterwards.

WannaSplitAPineapple · 04/07/2014 20:12

Oh where you off to Reastie? Hope your tummy is ok. I don't think I could refuse chocolate strawberries either.

I could swim and I know it's the better option for my knees but I was doing it for almost two months going twice a week and doing about 50-60 lengths and I noticed no difference with my body shape or size. I should do more arm exercises coz I really do want to banish my bingo wings. I don't think I do them right tho as I never feel (if that makes sense)

Have a fabulous holiday. (I had to stop myself from putting kisses)

Reastie · 04/07/2014 21:04

Are there any water aerobics classes near you? That can be great for the arms. We're off to isle of Wight :)

TheOneWithTheHair · 04/07/2014 22:51

Still here. Will read back and post when I have a sec.

ToeFluff · 05/07/2014 00:05

Oo you can come see me I'm in portsmouth!

Plyo sounds awful! Grin

I love swimming, wish it was possible to actually swim when you have a 4yr old in tow, not sure being a shark burns the same amount of calories!

WannaSplitAPineapple · 05/07/2014 07:10

Haha toe may not burn the calories but I bet its a lot more fun!

I'll look into aerobic classes, I think my other option would be pad work (punching it) but I can only find that with a personal trainer which isn't cheap.

I've never been the Isle of Wight Reastie, I imagine it to be really pretty. How are you feeling? Do you think you've escaped your little ones illness?

Hi Hair how are you getting on?

Reastie · 05/07/2014 07:34

Toe I'll give you a wave as we drive through!

pineapple can you do arm weights at home? It's actually one of my favourite workouts to do, makes me feel strong! I'm sure they'd be some free ones on you tube you could try.

Just getting ready for the off, hoping I've escaped the tummy upset of eating those chocolate strawberries but may not have escaped DDs cold...

hair how's tricks?

kato where are you?

ToeFluff · 05/07/2014 09:19

Have a lovely time Reastie!

Wanna you've inspired me and I want to take ds swimming now Grin

Stealth how's that shred going?

I've been pants, I don't get why I keep bingeing when I'm not happy as am. Burger King Pizza Hut and more double carb sarnies this week , how can I be so motivated one minute then throw it all away the next?!

Reastie · 06/07/2014 17:58

Hello all, I greet you from today whilst watching tennis! Am feeling rubbish on the food front, there has been so much food consumed, and its so hard just to maintain I really don't want to put any weight on, must be good, but struggling, so coming on here for a kick up the bum. Just off to mfp to add up the damage.

Reastie · 06/07/2014 17:59

Obviously I greet you from today, it would be hard to greet you from any other time! I mean from holiday, am distracted by amazing tennis.

ToeFluff · 06/07/2014 18:46

lol Reastie! Hope you are having a nice time, don't be too hard on yourself when you are away..life is for living after all.

That said I had an actual cheesecake for dinner last night so not only have I fallen off the wagon, I've rolled off a cliff and sank to the bottom of the ocean too!

I'm setting up a new mfp as can't sign in for some reason, will post my name and if anyone fancies adding me feel free as I think shame will do the trick and I'll sort myself out!

WannaSplitAPineapple · 06/07/2014 22:24

Glad to see everyone is doing so well on the weight loss front! It's DS's birthday this weekend so we've had numerous picnics, birthday cakes and general crap and thanks to my stupid knee I've done zero exercise. I have however had a lovely weekend so it's not all bad.

reastie have you got any recommendations on what weight workouts to try? Tomorrow is Monday and ignoring the birthday celebrations that are still to happen I am going to be good.
Glad you are having a lovely relaxing holiday. I do agree with toe that you have to have a bit of luxuries on holiday so don't feel bad.
toe let me know when you're on MFP and I'll add you. If someone saw how appalling I ate this weekend they would have no qualms in telling me to behave.

Reastie · 07/07/2014 05:43

Pineapple I'm doing p90x at the min which is good but mAybe not great as a first forray into weights. I did a workout programme called xtrainfit which has weights workouts. Got it from Amazon and was good value for the number of workouts. Doing that built my fitness up enough to go on to insanity. If you're looking for free you tube I'm not sure, sorry, have a search? [Unhelpful]

StealthPolarBear · 07/07/2014 06:41

ooh reastie whee are you staying? We're off to iow im a month and I cant wait!!
Toe pmsl at rolled off a cliff and sank to the bottom of the ocean :o Straight back onto it, ok??
Im doing ok. Didnt manage to log on friday and saturday but mostly resisted bingeing. Ivr been up for 3 hours so far and have ironed, cleaned bathroom, cleaned kitchen and done shred :) I seem to be sticking to l2, seems to challenge me enough while still being manageable.
ive also done footner and my feet are grim at the moment. Hope that settles down

Goodness that is some exercise and a half!

Right I've done a whole new one on mfp, It's actually quite handy starting from scratch after the last weekfew days. My name is FluffyToes387 if anyone else is on there?

Good luck for those weighing today

ToeFluff · 07/07/2014 07:10

Stealth, why on earth were u up so early?!

KatoPotato · 07/07/2014 10:41

Sorry! I'm back!

And about 6lbs heavier!! Honestly I need a boot up the backside!

WannaSplitAPineapple · 07/07/2014 22:24

Oh toe maybe I should get a new MFP then I can ignore all the crisp I ate last week! Every time I finished logging for that day me estimated weight was getting heavier! I've not been great today but I've been on a bike ride to try and balance out. My knees don't feel as bad and fingers crossed I won't feel it tomorrow. I've had a look at that dvd Reastie it looks really good. I'm gonna see how my knees go on the bike after spending a small fortune on it but if it doesn't work I'll be investing.

Gosh Stealth I'd just about woken up by the time you were half way thru your day! DS had a fabulous birthday thanks. He went to bed singing happy birthday to himself.

Hi kato good to see you back.

Now are we all going to be better behaved this week? Next Monday I want to see losses on those scales. No excuses!

ToeFluff · 08/07/2014 10:57

Wanna at least you were being honest and logging it - I'm glad it wasn't working as I doubt I'd have admitted what I was eating!

Had a fab day yesterday and stayed under calories. Loving the barcode option on mfp!

How are we all doing?

Can I ask, What sort if meals do you have for dinner? I find I only stay on track if me and dp have separate dinners but surely there is a compromise and we can eat together he is a bit of an arse though and won't eat anything that says low fat on it

TheOneWithTheHair · 08/07/2014 12:13

Hi all. Posting from Portugal, waiting to go home. :( I haven't been very good while I've been here (4 days), lots of wine, a few cocktails and some exquisite food.

Back on it tomorrow.

Toe, my dh is like yours and I found The Hairy Dieters book an absolute godsend. You can have sweet and sour, curry, pies etc, so he doesn't feel like he's eating "rabbit food". I got mine for £5 from The Book People. If you google it, you should be able to find a code for free delivery too.

KatoPotato · 08/07/2014 12:36

Hair! Hope you've had a lively holiday!

What book do you have? The white or the yellow one?

TheOneWithTheHair · 08/07/2014 13:00

Pass but I'll tell you when I get home. The first one if that helps.
