So a new thread, a new more motivated state of mind.

We will be skinny. No more excuses.

Hi All,

Hope you are all having a lovely Mothers Day Cake Wine Flowers for all.

I did another fast day yesterday and it was waay easier because I was busy and I had nothing to eat until I was about to fall over and then had a big sandwich which saw me through. However, I had some wine so my cals went up to 700. I'm not weighing in tomorrow as it's TOTM and I'm all bloated and revolting so I'll weigh in next Monday.

I'll try and fast on a Monday and Wednesday with the option of another fast on Saturday. I'm getting quite anxious about the 2 weddings in coming up and not looking like a fat bloater. I got upset about it all when I was hormonal last week and I need to sort my head out a little. I'm hoping with the Spring evening being a little brighter I'll be able to get out for a walk in the evening.

Hope you all have a great day!

Happy Mothers day!

Hope you all had a lovely day. Poor DS has a bug and so we had to change our plans today.
Well done on the fast Sol. I have eaten +++ for the past few days, but planning on a week of exante. Will weigh in next Monday (because I am sure will have put on weight in past few days but want to be in denial).
I want to get to back to the weight I was pre holiday and then will continue with the 5:2. I've got 2 weddings as well. Been looking at dresses, seen a couple in coast I like.

Feeling amused by the synchronised TOM. Think we were destined to be best buddies, going to have to work harder to tempt you both to move Grin

Thanks for the baby no 3 thoughts. Sorry you have a niggle too Green. Sol - you make very good points for no more babies :) Had a chat with DH in the car today, it's not a sensible choice for us either, for many of the reasons you have both said. Medically it's not a complete no no - I'd need another section, possibly mentally as well Grin But really I am too old. I think if we could have a bigger gap, we'd have a 3rd, but it's not the right time for us now. Realistically it would have to be now due to my age. But you are younger than me Green? You could perhaps have a 3rd in the future?

What mothers day goodies did you get? I have a pedicure thing on order and I got some pens !! I love a nice pen though, DH did see me admiring them in JL a few weeks ago. Oh and some white roses and hyacinths.

I am going to have an internet browse, feel like I need a treat (well more treats!)

SolitudeSometimesIs · 15/03/2015 20:37

I had another fast day today by complete accident so I might just eat like normal tomorrow.

I think it' a good idea to see what weight you are before starting Exante. At least then you can see how much progress you are making Beyond. Your Mother's Day sounds lovely (and a good plan for more treats). What dresses have you seen in Coast? I hope your DS is ok, is it a tummy bug?

I got homemade cards, daffodils (I love daffs) and a bunch of flowers. DH also took the kids out for the morning so I had a lie in. It was fairly low key which is just how I like it.

Tempted to do a weigh in tomorrow but I think I'll be setting up myself to fail.

A fast day by accident??!!
You are going to be a rake Sol....

BeyondTheSea · 15/03/2015 20:58

I quite like this dress
www.coast-stores.com/manda-dress/all-dresses/coast/fcp-product/199120?locale=en

Greenrabbit · 15/03/2015 21:19

Happy Mother's Day to you both!

I like those dresses Beyond. I'm off to a church wedding with the reception in a field/marquee, so I'm not quite sure how formal to go. I should start looking.
I'm sure you won't look like a fat bloater Sol. We'll all be mega serious from tomorrow. You've done so well with all those fast days. I bet you'll see a good loss when you weigh in

I've had a lovely weekend. I've ate far too much, we were at a family birthday yesterday. Today I had an M&S Mother's Day meal.(well I shared it, i didn't eat a whole meal for 4 people). I think the official weigh in will be on Saturday. Exante starts again tomorrow.

I was given some books, perfume and some daffodils and tulips (also my favourites).

I'm 35 this year Beyond so we do have some time to play with. But DH is keen to have a vasectomy soon. We probably won't have another. I think it's just because the baby stage is over so quickly, I want to cling onto it for slightly longer.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 15/03/2015 21:21

I felt quite sick all day and then there was nothing I wanted to eat. I'm hoping for a general air of rakiness alright.

I like those dresses. The liv dress is very pretty, I'd say it will be flattering on. The Manda dress is very classy, can you get both and do a costume change halfway through the day (not helpful).

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 15/03/2015 21:31

Have we all got our game faces on for tomorrow?

We all seem to have done well for Mother's Day - yay!

I must be weird, I hated the baby stage. The lack of sleep, colic, reflux etc. God it was hell. Give me a 2 year old any day. I loved the snuffily, snuggly baby hugs but those were the longest days.

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 15/03/2015 21:39

Yes - it's the baby stage I am yearning. I am so annoyed I am so old!!!!

Poor DS is vomiting and has a temperature. I will take the day off work (grr to work/family juggles).

Will try very hard tomorrow. I was feeling fairly good pre holiday, need to get back there!

Your weekend sounds lovely Green. Hope you are feeling better Sol?

SolitudeSometimesIs · 15/03/2015 21:52

Your poor DS Beyond, I hope he feels better soon.

Don't be annoyed that you're old (which you are not btw!), be happy you have two lovely babies. Life can be annoying in so many ways, focus on the good stuff.

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 16/03/2015 08:59

Thank you Sol, he is not himself at all . Lots of cuddles today.

Thanks for the wise words as well, I will try and remember them.

I had a horrifying weigh in this am. Seems 5 days of mindless eating can do quite a lot of damage. I am quite pleased we are starting a new thread soon, I need a new new (new new) start.
My weight this am was 11.11 (I am hoping some of this is water!!)
So I have 27lbs to lose. Hoping to lose 5-6 this week with exante.
Grrr must stop this stupid cycle. Was feeling good isn at pre holiday weight...

SolitudeSometimesIs · 16/03/2015 21:47

I was watching a show about clowns in a children's hospital last night when you posted Beyond, I think it was on bbc4, it was so sad (we had to switch it off). All I wanted to do was run upstairs and hug my babies even though they were fast asleep. It really made me appreciate them in all of their snotty, screamy glory.

You could be bloated too which could add to your 11.11 (I would kill to be 11.11, but this is about you, not me). Maybe weigh in again on Weds to see if it's just a blip. Mindless eating is a huge downfall, especially when it comes to "bits" that may not even register as eating food. Like bits off the kids plates or a couple of crisps out of someone elses packet - that is my downfall, picking at other peoples food.

A new thread will do us all good - it will be a magic thread - I went to weigh in this morning but realised it would be pointless as I'd been up for hours and had copious coffees.

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 17/03/2015 07:32

I am looking forward to the magical thread.

Know what you mean Sol, I can't watch sad/traumatic things anymore. Which is really bizarre as my job is very sad at times.

I hate clowns though.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 18/03/2015 20:58

I am going to order a months worth of Exante just because I am freaking out about fitting in to the dress I have in mind for the wedding. I don't want to spend a fortune and looks like shit.

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 18/03/2015 21:15

I havn't started the Exante yet. Not getting much sleep because of DD2 and the PMT is still raging on. So I'm in a right mood.
I'm planning a fast day tomorrow and have to go to a family meal on Friday. I must start again on Monday. I feel massive my stomach is huge.

I'm looking forward to the new thread.

How are you doing Beyond?
Which meals are you getting Sol? I prefer the sweeter products, although the soups aren't too bad if you stick some herbs/spices in.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 18/03/2015 21:25

Oh bloody hell I'm on the Exante website and I don't know what to do. Should I order a months worth or should I just get 2 weeks and see how I get on? I just feel so awful about how I look and I need to change. Is the food crap? I mean, I now it's not going to taste amazing but is it tolerable? Maybe I should see if I can make up my own menu through Exante...This is so annoying!

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 18/03/2015 21:31

How much do you need to lose Sol? When is the wedding? You may find 4 weeks might be too many products? I think on average you lose 7lbs isn on first week and 3-4lbs on 2nd (been reading diet blogs far too much!!).
I prefer the shakes and bars. I find traditional shakes, banana, chocolate strawberry better, some of the other flavours i.e. choc mint are really thin. Also avoid the caramel one.
The peanut bar is delicious (well as much as it can be). Not a fan of the tomato soup.

I started yesterday, so am on day 2. Going to try and do a week and hoping to lose 6lbs. I am going to do 5:2 after this hopping to lose 2lbs weekly so may need to do 4:3 instead.

Green, I am giving you a virtual hug, you sound fed up. Don't worry, it doesn't matter how long it takes, you've done so well. Hope you get some more sleep soon.

BeyondTheSea · 18/03/2015 21:34

I'd get 2 weeks unless the deal is amazing for 4. They have loads of offers on weekly though anyway.
Could you do for 2 weeks? or 1 week and then 1-2 weeks of shakes/bars bfast/lunch then a low carb meal in the evening?
Pre holiday I did 1 week bars/shakes and lists 6lbs, I then did low carb meal in the evening and lost another 4.

Greenrabbit · 18/03/2015 21:38

Did you see the sale bit? www.exantediet.com/shop/outlet.list?utm_source=ENED-_email-18-3-15-springsale&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ENED-_email-18-3-15-springsale&affil=thgemail&utm_content=TCMemail

The savoury meals are slightly grim (in my opinion), but they are edible. The shakes are nice but I've only tried chocolate, vanilla, banana and strawberry. I add coffee granules to the first 3 and lots of ice makes them better. The porridge and pancakes are fine. I like most of the bars but the choc Orange and the raisin and nut are the nicest.
I've not tried a lot if the newer meals. Just the spag Bol, carbonara, shepherds pie and pasta and ham soup.

They have a sale practically every other day, so maybe try a selection and order more if you get on with it?

SolitudeSometimesIs · 18/03/2015 21:44

Had a huge frustrated, snot filled, puce faced cry for myself earlier because I just hate how I look. And it's all my own doing and there's no one else to blame but I need to lose a stone and being left to my own devices I am struggling.

I'm going to order 2 weeks worth of shakes, soups and dinners. I am utterly sick of myself and will part with the cash so that I am not a tottering whale anymore.

Green you sound pissed off, are you ok? I'm sure your stomach being big is all just horrible period bloating (mine is currently receding). As for a non-sleeping baby, is it teething? DS2 is cutting his fangs (not sure what the proper name for them are) and he is quite the grumpy bugger!

Thanks for the advice Beyond, you did so well on Exante. I am sure you will be back at that weight again. There's a lot to be said for a crash diet isn't there? I know it's not sustainable, I just want to look good on the day.

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 18/03/2015 21:46

Thanks Beyond. Today's parenting highlight was DD2 sticking a piece of foil (from a sweet) up her nose. It got stuck too. She's quite 'trying' at the moment. Lots of tantrums. I hope it's just a (very short) phase. If she settled on a night I'd find her daytime exploits more amusing.

Well done on getting started with the Exante. It sounds like we have similar opinions on the products. I forgot about the vile tomato soup.

I think I added food in week 2 and still lost 2lb + per week.

BeyondTheSea · 18/03/2015 21:50

Think we are all being really hard on ourselves. We're are doing so well, it's not easy with 2 small people, no sleep etc etc
I think we are finding it harder because we were so focused for a while and now we've struggled for a bit and we're in a cycle of feeling rubbish because we haven't managed to stick to it. But really, it's not too bad, just a couple of stone.

Go for it, it works Sol, as a quick fix to get some results. I think if I hadn't gone on holiday, I would have stuck with the 5:2 and continued to lose.

Let's do this ladies. New thread, new start.
We can reward ourselves with new dresses :)

BeyondTheSea · 18/03/2015 21:52

It's hard to feel positive when you are exhausted Green.
Is there anyway you could have an afternoon to yourself for a bit of a recharge?

New thread time ladies :)
