So a new thread, a new more motivated state of mind.

We will be skinny. No more excuses.

Bit anti social too - Am surprised made a couple of mum friends (although 1 I only see at soft play for an hour so not sure she's a friend !). I don't know any of the nursery mums either. I quite like to keep our lives private (Joins Sol in the mad recluse corner).

Both could work Green. We need something to keep us occupied, I vote we write a thriller, the mice in the garage/library anyone??

I'm going to bed - am starving.

BeyondTheSea · 14/10/2014 21:30

Totally agree with you Green - theres no way I want to get involved in nursery/school gate bitching.

That's sad Green - you could always send an email and suggest meeting up at some point?

SolitudeSometimesIs · 14/10/2014 21:39

I think you should send a facebook pm or text your friend to see if she wants to meet up Green. The years zip past when children come along and you become so caught up in the insanity of kids that it can be hard to get around to seeing someone.

My sons school has become very clique-y. It's not for me. Grown ups should know better than to act like that so I really couldn't be bothered with people that do.

A thriller you say Beyond, it could be "The mystery of the exploding mice". The conclusion. It was Green. Feeding them her slow release, expanding Exante food. Dun-dun-dunnnnn.

I'm in bed too. I'm frozen and can't bear to listen to any more football talk from DH. Snore!

Night all. Hope we all have another good day tomorrow.

Had my weigh in this morning. Lost a pound but converted my pounds in to stones and realised I am 13 stone 9. Haven't been this light in nearly 2 years. Felt down that I only lost a pound but feeling great that I'm in the 13's.

Dh has lost 6 lbs in 2 days and 3 inches off his waist. So proud!

Hope everyone has a good day!

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 15/10/2014 20:27

Well done Sol - being in the 13's is fab!!!!!

I will probably be slightly over points but still being very good.

Fish and greek salad tonight.

Hope you had a good day green.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 15/10/2014 20:34

Ate a big portion of dinner and can't eat the grapefruit like I'm supposed to. Absolutely exhausted today due to TinySol not sleeping well. Off to bed soon.

Your dinner sounds lovely Beyond. A few points over won't do too much damage.

How goes your day Green?

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 15/10/2014 22:24

Woooo Sol. Excellent progress. Can you see any difference in yourself?

I'm so jealous of your dinner Beyond. Was today less stressful than yesterday?

Had a pretty good day. DD1 didn't cry about going to nursery (she spent last week in tears). So that was a nicer morning for us all.
Sampled the carbonara today, it was slightly more edible than the other delights. Also had pancakes, okay I suppose. I've drank loads of water and black decaf coffee and munched on some celery tonight. I did feel quite stabby earlier but it faded once I'd had dinner. Hope I get some energy soon though, felt really tired and cold all day.

Hope the babies are all good tonight, took mine an hour to settle and she was naughty last night too.

Good night.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 16/10/2014 11:50

Have you weighed yourself yet Green? Hopefully you'll see some results once ketosis kicks in. I hear you with the being cold thing, it's bloody freezing. Is the lack of energy caused by the lack of sleep or is it diet related do you think?

I'm 1.2 lbs down today. I feel good about this diet. I bought myself a pair of boots today as a substitute for the wine and crisps I would be usually buying this week. They are nice and an attempt to drag myself out of my slump.

Hope everyone has a great day!

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 16/10/2014 13:29

How much is that altogether than? I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow, hopefully I'll have lost enough to spur myself on over the weekend! My stomach is definitely looking more deflated though.

It's cold and damp here too, but I don't feel as bad as yesterday. Think I have some ketosis sticks somewhere so I might hunt them out to test if I'm in ketosis yet. I've got more energy today.

Hope your boots are making you cheerful. I've been piling on the makeup to feel better.

Just had another spag Bol. Added more water, some marmite and didn't cook for as long and it tastes much better than last time. Smile

BeyondTheSea · 16/10/2014 20:43

Yay you are both doing so well. Good luck with the weight in Green. I am day 6 today. Weigh in on Saturday.

Please will these babe sleep!!! I am dreading the clocks going back....

Chicken and salad tonight, I did have a few chocolate peanuts earlier but still within points.
What are you boots like Sol? I am on the look out for some flat black boots. Hope the tiredness improves for you both.

Greenrabbit · 17/10/2014 11:03

Weighed myself this morning and I was 14st 13 lb. Grin. I know it's all water but it's cheered me up. Plus the sun is shining today.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 17/10/2014 11:16

Yay Green Flowers

Well done, that's great. You must be delighted. It can't all be just water, it's not like you were drinking 8lbs of water prior to starting. So delighted for you. It's so motivational isn't it!

I weighed in this morning and am down 2.1 lbs since yesterday so I'm 13 stone 6 lbs. A weightloss so far of 6.4 lbs since Monday. To be honest I don't think I'll reach a stone but I'm not too bothered. I had a cheeky glass of wine last night and a bite of DS1's wrap yesterday but I really didn't pay for it the way I thought.

Off to have a snooze now as DS2 has gone to sleep after being up all night. I am thoroughly exhausted.

Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Well done Green and Sol- just fabulous.

I think I have going to have to do something more drastic too. I think 1-2 lbs a week is going to make me feel really despondent (and as for the STS weeks...!!) I'll be weighing in tomorrow.......

SolitudeSometimesIs · 17/10/2014 20:42

I have to say Beyond, losing so much weight has really spurred me on. Everyone I have told has sort of rolled their eyes and said "Oh but when you go back to eating normally you'll pile all the weight back on" with a smug smile. And my reply has been "I don't want to go back to the way I used to eat, that's how I got in to this state. I am CHANGING my eating habits, not just doing this in the short term". To be fair, there is usually some swearing when I'm saying it.

I feel so invigorated about myself this week. I have felt so shit, for so long that it has done my so much good mentally. I need quick results, I want to know that if I'm going to go without that I'll see some change.

Speaking of change, I now officially have cheek bones. Woo-hoo. And the revolting back fat that squidged out from under my bra has gone. There's a hint of clavicle going on (it'll take a while to get that cheese grater look that I like)my thighs are also trimming down beautifully. But sadly my belly still looks like a war zone. A melted war zone. I think I'm just going to have to face it that it's mostly loose skin thanks to my 52 inch waist at the end of pregnancy. I'm not sure what to do about it, but I'm too knackered to exercise.

I hope your weigh in goes well tomorrow Beyond. Any loss is a good loss. And if it's a STS try not to murder anyone. Grin

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 18/10/2014 13:46

4lbs. Am pleased with that. My aim is for 3lbs this week. Going to dust off the wii fit later.

Sol and Green you have done so well, your results must really spur you on.

Glad to hear about the cheek bones, I hope to lose a chin.

Greenrabbit · 18/10/2014 16:54

That's excellent Beyond. Good luck with the Wii Fit. I have one lurking about too.

I'm also hoping to end up with one chin!

I had some proper food for breakfast! Scrambled egg never tasted so good. Smile then I'm having lamb and veg tonight, it smells divine. I don't think I can stick to just meal packs for the 3 weeks it recommends, so I think it's better to have afew meals in a week to stop myself going mad and inhaling the fridge. (Or falling off the fat wagon as my SIL says Grin)

Greenrabbit · 18/10/2014 16:55

Oh I'm thinking of some new boots as a reward. Totally reasonable I think?

BeyondTheSea · 18/10/2014 18:07

oh yes totally reasonable. I have had a spurge, will post later! Have you any in mind? I'd like some wedge boots but going to wait for the sales.

Yes, I think fine to eat a few meals. Could you switch to the plan where you have 3 packs and an low carb evening meal?

I also got a chunky jumper in M&S but can't find it online. I'm not too sure about the dress, it might be nice with boots and opaques.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 18/10/2014 20:20

Congratulations Beyond Flowers

You must be thrilled. How did you find the week on points again? 3 lbs seems like a good goal I think. Hope the wii fit dusting goes well Grin

Your new clothes are lovely. I love the skirt, is it knee length? I think I need to get out of my fashion rut. I always buy the same stuff and to be honest it's more befitting a student than a 30-something year old.

I hear you about the need for real food Green. How was your lamb and veg? I think boots are essential, we are finding new ways to reward ourselves that isn't food.

I had points free soup for lunch today, it was way too cold for just fruit. I will admit to having 3 potato shapes (novelty Hallowe'en stuff from lidl) of DS1's at dinner time, he didn't like them and they smelled delicious (as novelty potato shapes tend to when you haven't eaten a carb in 2 weeks). I haven't had any dinner though because I feel so bloated after eating them, so I'm having some mint tea.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 18/10/2014 20:23

Oh I added up all the weight I've lost since Weds 8th. It's just over 10 lbs. Hoping not to fuck it all up by celebrating my weightloss with a chinese, which is exactly what I would normally do Hmm

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 18/10/2014 20:30

I like the dress, what aren't you sure about? It might look nice with brogues too?

The skirt and cardigan are nice too. I always spend ages looking at Boden but never buy much. Don't know why, I buy the girls stuff from them quite often. How does their women's knitwear wash/wear? The kids stuff is really good.

Hope you enjoy your new purchases. Did you go to the shops or get them online?

I think I like these Boots. But I'm not 100% sure. They are supposed to be waterproof which appeals to me. I have Merrell snow boots from last winter, but they are quite outdoorsy looking (if that makes sense). I have far too many some lovely leather boots, but always worry that they'll get spoilt in the rain. Hmmm.

I need to stop wearing jeans and jumpers everyday. Going to sort my dresses out tomorrow. I've bought lots of warm opaques to go with them and I want to wear my brogues more often. Bought these the other week and they haven't had an outing yet.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 18/10/2014 20:37

I LOVE those boots Green. I'm getting a very similar pair in the next few weeks. They look so good with skinny jeans/jeggings/treggings and a chunky knitted long cardigan. Can you not buy something to protect the leather from the rain?

I'm liking all these fashion tips, you will both have me de-style rutted in no time.

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 18/10/2014 20:43

Hi Sol. Wow 10lb is loads, seriously well done. Have you worked out weight loss % and BMI yet? Think I'll be doing some diet math soon!

I find it difficult to stop picking at the kids leftovers too. Had some fish from a fish finger yesterday but managed to throw the waffle away. Why are processed potato things so nice? I never bought them before I had children.

DON'T GET A CHINESE! Although that's exactly the type of thing I would do. Could you plan a special low carb meal for in a week or so? It might be something to look forward to? I have no ideas as to what you could have mind .

I've found myself dressing like a student since DD started nursery. No idea why. I've been wearing my ancient converse every day, when I have a new pair and lots of other lovely shoes. ( I love shoes and bags btw.). Strangely I put lots of makeup on every morning and wear red lippy round the house. I did notice another school mum dressed like a tramp with twigs in her hair, but with a full face of slap. Just glad I'm not the only one.

Greenrabbit · 18/10/2014 20:48

Yeah, I should just polish them properly! I'm just looking for an excuse to buy something new. They are expensive though, I'll be waiting till somewhere has a discount code or event on.
Are biker boots are classic style now? If so they would be an investment, so totally worth it. Wink
