So a new thread, a new more motivated state of mind.

We will be skinny. No more excuses.

You are doing so well Sol.

Tiny hit the back of her head, I'm not sure if she hit the handle as well, but I couldn't feel/see anything worrying. I;m just really annoyed with myself.

The buggy money has gone towards my new buggy (which I didn't need really - just fancied something lighter).

I feel ok - day 4 done now, I do feel hungry but Tiny is bf more at the moment. Might have a few grapes.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 14/10/2014 20:28

Is the food made of TVP Green? I can't stomach that. It's always in big chewy lumps.

Celary sticks were a great idea, there's feck all calories in them and they keep you chomping for ages. 600 cals is pretty similar to the JD diet I'm on (not Jack Daniels sadly).

I am feeling pretty motivated. I was talking to a friend today and she was saying that she regularly does a VLCD to keep in shape. I was saying to her that if I lose a lot of weight quickly and then slip up (like at Christmas) and put some weight on, the gain will be much less. As in, if I lose 2 stone and put back on 7 lbs I know I can get rid of it in a week with JD. However, if I lose 6lbs on ww and gain back 7lbs, I'm even heavier than at the beginning and have to spend weeks trying to get it off again.

I had a look at the iCandy Raspberry Beyond. It looks great. There are some amazing light buggies these days. I was laughing at the fact the buggies come in "flavours" instead of colours - that's how you know it's a fancy buggy Grin.

Grapes are a good idea. Grapes and a pint of water will fill the gap.

BeyondTheSea · 14/10/2014 20:34

I know Sol, my DC are far posher than I will ever be :)

Greenrabbit · 14/10/2014 20:39

Thanks Beyond. I'll try to remember the weigh in, it's such a rush on a morning!

Poor Tiny, it sounds like she is okay though. Hope she is feeling better tomorrow.
I sometimes think that I should worry more about these things. You can't win really, it's tough being a mother!

I have a Quinny Buzz and Zapp xtra. Fine to push and comfy, but a pain to fold the Zapp and the Buzz is massive and heavy to put in the car boot.

Excellent will power on the water. That's what I'm sipping, I might not be so fat if I'd stuck to water instead of wine!

BeyondTheSea · 14/10/2014 20:44

Lots of peole recommend those buggy's - I am sure you would get a good resale price. Is there a local fb selling page you could try?

The baby jogger is good but it's quite wide. Very easy to fold though and get in the car.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 14/10/2014 20:46

Oh my God we've made it in to the Most Active topics bit at the top of the page. Get us! We're so fancy!

"I finally feel like I've made it"

"I just want to thank Green and Beyond thanks for your encouragement..."

I think I've actually lost my mind...

SolitudeSometimesIs · 14/10/2014 20:47

Fucks sake, we're gone again. This site is so fickle.

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 14/10/2014 20:50

I'm pretty relieved, the whole of MN knowing my weight?? The horror..!

BeyondTheSea · 14/10/2014 20:50

Oh just remembered, only really post on this thread

SolitudeSometimesIs · 14/10/2014 20:52

That's true Beyond, I hadn't thought of that Blush.

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 14/10/2014 20:55

ah well - its not like people know us. You and Green are my only chums anyway.

Greenrabbit · 14/10/2014 20:55

It says 'Textured Soya Concentrate' and Soya Protein Isolate. Is that the same thing? It's just sort of a mush. Okay when hot but it thickens as it cools and I gave to drink loads of water to stomach it. I split the pack in half today and had it for lunch and dinner. It was slightly better that way. If I decide to stick to this plan and need to buy more I will not be buying the savoury meals. Haven't tried the soup yet, it might be better. It's all very artificial though, lots of additives and added vitamins and minerals.

I did a low carb diet before after DD, it wasn't as low cal as the Exante but I did have lots of energy after the first week. It was pretty hardcore though no sugar or sweetener, no fruit, no milk. Don't know how I managed it. Lost 21 lb very quickly though. I lived on omelette, stir fry and soup!

Your theory on VLCD makes a lot of sense Sol. My Mam has been going to WW most of her adult life. She spends most of the year losing 0.5-1 lb per week and then putting it back on when they go on their long cruises. Since she retired she is getting thinner but it's taken 3 years.

Greenrabbit · 14/10/2014 20:58

I was worried you meant 'Discussion of the Day'! Imagine getting one of those emails with our quotes on!

Greenrabbit · 14/10/2014 21:00

It would have links to WW, Exante and JD.

Since leaving work I realise I have no friends. Most exciting social invite for the last few months has been an invite to the vicarage for tea and cake. Which I can't eat Grin

BeyondTheSea · 14/10/2014 21:01

I think my 'I cheated with mars bar' comment would be in.

I do think it anyone can be bothered to read out thread they probably think I am the worse dieter ever.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 14/10/2014 21:01

It sounds like the same stuff. It's fairly grim. Have you a pet you can feed it to? Grin I think they have to add the vitamins and minerals for it to claim that it can have health benefits, at least you know you're not missing out on any of them. The soup could be worth a try. Could you email and ask could they send you some freebies as you want to try them before you order tons of them?

I think my theory makes sense too. But I was a bit worried that it was the ramblings of a dieting woman.

Ah Beyond, your part of our gang now (meant in a less sinister way than it's written).

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 14/10/2014 21:05

Roaring at the idea of this thread being in Discussion of the Day. I think people would be shocked that such a long thread has only started to show any signs of motivation after about 500 posts.

Beyond you would definitely provide the quotes, you are hilarious. Loving that you were invited to the vicarage for tea, how very Vicar of Dibly.

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 14/10/2014 21:07

We never go out Green - sometimes we go for coffee and cake with the babies though :)

I did venture on to the other boards a few times, but found the threads quite aggressive sometimes - so tend to stick here :)

I've only 2 friends that live near me (1 of them I am very close to and see every couple of weeks though). Do you go to any groups Green? I see a couple of mums that I met a tumble tots every couple of months (just play dates really, but nice to chat to another adult in the day!).

Greenrabbit · 14/10/2014 21:08

No pets unfortunately. I could accidentally leave them in the garage and hope the mice eat them? I ordered a mixed box so I could try most things. I still have to sample the porridge and pancakes and some different flavours of shakes. Joy. Smile. What was I thinking? love food so much and try to avoid processes stuff part from crisps and Cadburys picnics. Now I'm torturing myself eating rubbish. Woe is me Wink

Never mind, I will be skinny and full of nutrients.

BeyondTheSea · 14/10/2014 21:11

That's true Sol, and there was a thread before this (and I'm actually heavier than at the start of that..)
Sol - your flashdance/Rocky motivational talk wold be no1 :)

Sounds very Miss Marple Green - I'd love to stumble in a miss maple situation. (not the person murdered obviously).

SolitudeSometimesIs · 14/10/2014 21:17

Balls, forgot to hit return. So that Vicar of Dibley comment was for you Green.

I don't really get out much either. Between looking like an extra from the Walking Dead due to sleep deprivation and having dwindling patience for small talk I am useless at meeting new people. I don't know the names of any of any of the Mother's in DS's school as I can't be arsed getting out of my nice warm car to stand in the freezing cold/ rain to make polite chit chat.

I have 3 good friends and that's it , but I barely see them due to our lives being very busy. I don't really "do" acquaintances, I'm actually pretty antisocial I think.

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 14/10/2014 21:20

Tea at the Vicarage Beyond or the mouse in the garage with the Exante? (Or is that Cluedo?)
I've been before, they do have good cake. The vicars wife thinks MN is a bit mad too. We got onto the subject whilst discussing Mini Boden

SolitudeSometimesIs · 14/10/2014 21:20

By "do" acquaintances I don't mean that in a...sexy fashion.

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 14/10/2014 21:27

I'm really antisocial too Sol. Work and family always provided me with enough of a social life to keep me occupied. One of my lifelong school friends got married last month and I found out on Facebook. Fair enough we hadn't spoke properly since my wedding, but I thought it was pretty sad that we'd all drifted so far apart.

I only talk to some of the mam's and grandparents I know from toddlers at the school gate. I don't enjoy the school pick up and drop off, some parents are terrifying too.
