Anybody fancy losing a stone and a half by Easter?

I have just weighed myself and the results were hideous. I need to start taking some steps to shift some pounds - the first one being moving away from the Christmas chocolates. Does anybody fancy joining me?
It is 16 weeks until Good Friday so losing a stone and a half is very doable. I am a ww monthly pass member but haven't attended meetings regularly or followed the plan properly since the Summer Blush
Please come and motivate me.

Baking -want to lose 20lb by continuing running and MFP
Mary, wants to lose 1 - 2 stones
ToysRLuv - wants to lose around a stone by calorie counting and doing a bit of exercise at home
Haveacrumpet - 1.5 stone by Easter, 2.5 overall. Smaller portions and no junk.
DD32 Wants to lose at least 1 stone by Easter but 3 stones overall, suing MFP and smaller portion sizes :)

Oh god yes! I need to shift some poundage before holiday at Easter. Two stone would be awesome, and then a bit more after that too :)
I've tried 5:2 and calorie counting and am sick of it so I'm going to try low carb, cut out all the junk and get moving more. A thread like this will be great for motivation. We're staying with family until 5th jan so will start in earnest on the 6th!

Count me in. I am going to try 16:8 and possibly work up to 5:2. Weigh 11 stone 10ibs, would like to get to under 10 stone 7ibs

Count me in. I am going to New York in 6 weeks and want to lose half a stone for then. Also my brother gets married in Aug and want to lose 2 stones by then.

Today has been day one of tracking what I eat and it hasn't been too bad. I just need to avoid mindless snacking this evening. Hot drinks will be my friend - they take my mind off eatingWink

I've been pretty good today. Even went to the cinema and sat through the whole of Frozen with a huge bag of popcorn on my lap and managed not to eat any!

21lbs? yup i do, (but id be happy with a for a stone to take me back to under 10st where I was last summer .. im 5:2 ing also ,but realistically wont be able to start until next monday..)

Hi all, I'd like to join - need to lose at least 2 stone!

Planning to eat at meals times healthily with lashings of exercise even if it's just walking to work & school run some days.

Agree with 2014 kick up bum!

Laska were you doing 5:2 last year and doing it really well. I remember you from the first thread in 2012. I did it for 8 months and lost about 3lbs. Just curious to know how you got on.

I can't copy and paste either, but need to lose 21lbs by easter, am attempting a 10km race then, so double goal for me

Will be continuing 5:2 fasting and starting the shred again today

ahh I have been searching the boards for people looking to relose a stone or so! I hope you might be my guys? If that's okay?

I am currently 10 st 8 and would love to get back to my previous goal weight of 9st 7...in fact I would like to get to 9st and give myself a little more room for 'error'.

Is there a set weigh in day?

somethinglovely I still have leftover Christmas food, too. Have asked DH to scoff it by the end of the week so that there are no temptations hanging around the house.

I'm easing myself into my healthy eating. Blush I'm trying to cook healthy meals, but still having the odd bit of chocolate here and there, until it's all gone. This is always how I start - it's a struggle for the first couple weeks, but then I'm fine. Was hoping to go for a long walk today, but the rain is absolutely lashing down.

The 7 min workout app equates to 1 activity point on WW so done every day gives more points for weekends out.

I am doing the 5:2 diet and am on a fast day. I have just resisted a snack but I'm finding it very difficult to wait for my evening meal.
Could anyone send me some support ?

Have you read any of the 5:2 threads?

They are brilliant for those low moments, but my suggestion is have lots of hot drinks, herbal tea etc

And that snack? You can have it tomorrow

To anybody planning to just diet and not up their exercise, please reconsider.

Improving your fitness level is the most important thing
it will make weight loss easier
it will mean that the beautiful butterflies emerging from their cocoons by the summer will be toned
ALSO
if you exercise and stay hydrated as you lose weight, your skin will shrink with you much much better
so you'll look toned as well as being slimmer ....
