Anybody fancy losing a stone and a half by Easter?

I have just weighed myself and the results were hideous. I need to start taking some steps to shift some pounds - the first one being moving away from the Christmas chocolates. Does anybody fancy joining me?
It is 16 weeks until Good Friday so losing a stone and a half is very doable. I am a ww monthly pass member but haven't attended meetings regularly or followed the plan properly since the Summer Blush
Please come and motivate me.

Hi there all,
Thinking about you. I hope everyone's doing ok ???

LilyJoAndMe · 31/01/2014 13:12

Hope you're back on course Rufus.

ToysRLuv · 31/01/2014 15:04

I'm ok Lily! :) Not weighed myself as it's the time of the month, and I think I wouldn't be too pleased 71.7 kg aaaaaaargh!!!! . Have been good, though and feeling pretty positive. Hope you're doing well! BTW, how tall are you Lily? I'm 5'7 .

RufusTheReindeer · 31/01/2014 16:02

Thanks lily

Bad news is that I am not quite on course as my period has started but I am trying to behave myself (apart from dinner at ASK tomorrow)

Good news is they had no cheesecake left at Nandos!!!

Ooh confused myself now, is that good news or bad news????

RufusTheReindeer · 31/01/2014 16:05

I weigh in tomorrow

What I have to remember is that I always gain a few pounds when my period is on and not to get upset and head for the chocolates if I have maintained or gained

RufusTheReindeer · 01/02/2014 12:19

Right have lost another 2 lbs

That is 12lbs in 4 weeks, this is working better than anything I have tried in the past

I am now very concerned that I have a wasting disease! One that knocks 2lbs off a week

I know it will slow/stop but my first proper target is 8lbs away and the only thing that can fuck it up is half term when I go to London and family for the week

MegBusset · 01/02/2014 14:48

Well done Rufus, that's great progress!

I have got ANOTHER cold Angry. So no running for me this weekend.

RufusTheReindeer · 01/02/2014 20:13

Bad evening at ASK

Bad Rufus, bad, bad Rufus!

SuckItAndSee · 02/02/2014 10:35

never mind rufus - it's a new day today Smile

I had a blow-out on Friday - Chinese Banquet and a bottle of merlot to myself. I'll be lucky to maintain my weight this week, as I'm out for lunch again today. But I figure the key is not to bin the whole diet because of one (or three) bad days, but to start each day afresh with good intentions, and no guilt.

BUT after weds I have a clear month of No Eating Out ahead, so I reckon I should be able to really concentrate on weight loss then.

Batbear · 02/02/2014 10:42

2lbs off again this week - am upping the water this week in an effort to drink less coffee. I anticipate cake today so will need to be careful not to fall off the wagon!

hkbm88 · 02/02/2014 10:44

If anyone is interested in a program thats 100% natural and has brilliant results then please get in touch with me! I have a support group of 100's of women and men on the program, Its not a diet its a lifestyle change!! You retrain your body how to clean eat and treat it the way it should be treated! I have people losing between 4-7lb a week. You do not sign up and then get left to do it alone, you get added to a recipe group and a support group and you can get in touch with me whenever you want and i will be here to help and support you through it all. If anyone would like more info i would love to help more people out smile I hope i hear from you lovely people soon smile xxxxxx

IceBeing · 02/02/2014 14:55

hmm well I weighed in today and I am down to 10 st. I also went and tried on some clothes and actually I do feel like the 8 lbs off has made a difference. When I was much larger 8 lbs would make no difference to my appearance but I guess it is a larger fraction now.

So start: 10 st 8.
Now 10 st.
loss: 8 lbs.

now for the next 14....

ToysRLuv · 02/02/2014 15:28

71.1 ! Just over a pound lost.. Yay! Although expected now that the time of month is past. But at least got rid of that blasted 71.7.

Neighbour said I shouldn't lose any more weight, because "there'll be nothing left of me". Hmm.. not quite Grin

RufusTheReindeer · 02/02/2014 19:34

Well done toys and ice

I will never see 9 stone again, I think I would look too gaunt at that though. I would be ecstatic at 10.5

CRbear · 03/02/2014 06:22

suckitandsee I royally fell off the wagon this weekend too and struggling to get motivated after seeing the scales this am. Its so demotivating that it takes every cal of a 3500 deficit to losevan lb, and 500-1000 to put one on!

SuckItAndSee · 03/02/2014 14:01

well done to all the losers - stick at it everyone else.

I have maintained this week, which I'm pretty happy with, given two big nights out. am aiming to get back to losing this week.

Start Weight - 12st 0
Current Weight - 11st 8
Total loss - 6lb

Teaat3Ten · 03/02/2014 15:47

Well done everyone, I have managed a grand total of 0.5lbs this week! Which considering I ate out twice(no pudding) over the weekend is just about bearable.
So I start the week at 11st 1.5lbs, really hoping to see a 10 at the start of my weight next week.(Not holding my breath though!)

MegBusset · 03/02/2014 20:39

I have lost a pound hooray Grin

Start weight: 9st 8lb
Current weight: 9st alb

MegBusset · 03/02/2014 20:40

9st 7lb that is! Damn autocorrect!

Batbear · 04/02/2014 20:16

Well done Meg! Am feeling hungry today. Am supposed to be finished for the day, but feel like I could eat everything again!

RufusTheReindeer · 04/02/2014 20:43

I was really good today except for eating my body weight in crackers and butter!!

I have counted it though and my daily is 1400, though I was hoping for 1000

Fast day tomorrow (ish)

CRbear · 07/02/2014 06:25

How is everyone going? I'm almost back to the weight I was at before weekend madness (it may hav continued until weds), so I consider myself pretty lucky. Just 0.4kg to go and it will be new loss after that. I don't think I will get to my goal by Easter (84 down to 74 (current 79.8) but will be well on the way. I've never fallen off the wagon so badly and gotten back on within a reasonable time so letting myself be proud of that.

Happy Friday!

Batbear · 07/02/2014 14:07

Happy Friday CRBear!

I've weighed in today as I am off to my folks this weekend where they have kinder scales.

2lbs down here meaning I'm at 11st now. Half a stone to go to the Easter target.

LilyJoAndMe · 08/02/2014 11:07

Took me a while to find out my height in feet and inches. I live in France and over the years I'd forgotten my height. I thought I was 5'2" and have been doing my calculations with that height . Now, I've found out that I'm 5'5" !!! Grin
Haha !
So now I'm feeling pleased that I've grown rapidly another 3 inches !
Here I've lost another 2 pounds too.
Well done Rufus and to all those on little weight loss - how about using MFP ( My Fitness Pal). I find that helps me to understand where I might go wrong before I do eat something silly .

I found out, for example that 1 peanut is 11 calories. That doesn't sound much on its own. But I never eat one lone peanut.
And after stuffing down a boxful, I used to move onto my meal- well everybody knows that peanuts are just for an aperitif and that the rest of the meal is to come !

LilyJoAndMe · 08/02/2014 11:07

Well done Batbear. Enjoy your time at your parents Smile.
