52 weeks to lose 52 pound. Anyone in?

I am 4 stone over weight and it's making me very unhappy. I've been saying I'll lose weight for the last two years! Instead I've just gotten fatter.

I know most people don't keep up their new years resolutions but I am hoping having a thread on here will help.

If anyone is interested please feel free to join me. I will be using weight watchers but I would love anyone to join.

I intend to start on Jan 1st. I've bought
a nice diary to write my food in.

I'd love it if people could share meal plans and recipie ideas.

I am most definitely in!!
My name is pollylyn on MFP (I have already added a few of you). I really need to get my arse in gear this year and lose a lot of weight, probably more than 52lbs to be truthful but anything will be better than how I am just now.
I am going to be doing Slimming World starting on 7th January, but I will start cutting down and watching what I am eating on MFP.
I really want to get pregnant this year, but I know that I can still do slimming world if I do manage it - so no excuses.
I am a bit ashamed to admit how heavy I am and to tell the truth 2230 at night probably isn't the best time to weigh in, so I will in the morning and update for the stats. I think I will go and take some before photos too, to give me some motivation.

Easter Mon - 16lbs
May BH - 21lbs
August BH - 34lbs
Christmas Week - 51lbs

I don't want to add my weight, though it is no more or less than anyone else's on here. I want to lose pretty much 52lbs! I will post plusses and minusses.....

Did a half hour hot yoga today, just a quick but quite challenging one, and cycled there and back. Have not addressed my Xmas portion control attitude yet, and just had a glass of wine.

Going to do the month of booze abstinence thing from the 1st (easy, really only drink at my book group and a bit of prosecco at Xmas), cut out all sugar and sweeteners and white carbs, and 5:2. Might do a fast on Monday so it doesn't all hinge on New Year-ness.

I haven't read the whole thread yet, but I'm in. I have weighing scales and batteries - but not necessarily in conjunction. I find it very easy to put weight on - and have done so more than usual this year when a few injuries have prevented me doing my usual exercise. No idea how much I need to lose, but it's got to be at least three stones. I feel I'm looking down a fat tunnel with type 2 diabetes at the end of it...

Going out for lunch today at Frankie & Benny's. I have been vair good and chosen my meal in advance in MFP. Should hopefully allow me to maintain some semblance of self control...

Just realise that my usual choice is probably, at 1140 calories, the most calorific thing on the whole menu...

And am avoiding the cinema popcorn trap by delegating child supervision to DH and BIL. SIL and I are going shopping instead :-)

I'd love to join in with this too. A few years ago I lost nearly 4 stone with SW but I have lost my way again recently. I'm now nearly up to my previous weight so am desperate to do something about it. I will be starting on the 2nd as have NYE and a wedding to get through before then. I'm going to try MFP - never used it before but like the idea of being able to track everything. I'm kateluliz and my starting weight is 13.4 and I'm 5'3". If I could lose 52lbs that would take me down to 9.8 which would be amazing!

In a way I'm glad I'll be back at work. There is a lot more structure to the day and I can plan my meals properly. Organisation is my downfall.
