Woohoo sazz is back SmileSmileSmile you did an amazing amount of exercise yesterday I take my hat off to you Smile you probably did more in a day than me in a week Grin

Did cardio and abs this am, really gave it all I had for 6am Smile I think the abs is starting to make a difference she hopes Smile

Just over two and a half weeks til the swimsuit comes out eek however looking after two manic dds, a still very injured SH and my dad I reckon there won't be much relaxing!

Luckoftheirish · 10/10/2014 07:27

Woke up this am so not in the mood! Laid in bed for 10 mins felt guilty so got up and did fat blaster and abs.. Scales are rubbish so wish I hadn't botheredHmm I keep gaining and losing the same pound and need to break the cycle... Ideas??

Hope your weigh is better than mine fjorny Smile

Hope you are still on track sazz Smile

SummerSazz · 10/10/2014 08:51

Did my 10 mins this morning and food good yesterday so staying on track. Weekend will be the test.

LOTI can you do the clothes test rather than scales test. Your exercise regime is manic so I'm sure you are more muscular and toned which does make a diff to weight?

SummerSazz · 10/10/2014 22:14

Stayed within calories today and am treating myself to a glass of Wine

Just went and logged in FF and 150ml of red wine is only as many calories as the 150g (large handful) of red grapes which I had at lunchtime ShockShock

SummerSazz · 11/10/2014 15:21

Went to gym this morning

5.5k run with weights/sprints, 2.5k row and 10 mins powerplate and then took DDs swimming.

food ok so far.....

This week I have mainly eaten cabbage soup, roast chicken and fruit/veg so a good detox if nothing else.

Weighed at gym and was 10.12 so moves in the right direction Smile. Scales have now been ordered too so there are no excuses.

Hope you ladies are having a good day Smile

Luckoftheirish · 12/10/2014 08:04

Well done for all that training good diet and weight loss sazzSmile

Couldn't sleep so tried out a new DVD I bought. It's one of those 10 mins solutions called knockout body workout. Did the knockout blast the kick box cross trainer and the killer abs. Only 30 mins but and literally drenched in sweat and have started aching alreadySmile

SummerSazz · 12/10/2014 09:07

Wow LOTI - I would have stopped after the first 10!!! you must be SO toned after all this daily blasting. Bikini ready most definitely Smile

Stayed within calories yesterday (albeit used the exercise ones) so just today to get through and then will be ok on weekdays.

Scales apparently due for delivery between 2.33 and 3.33pm so will start proper weigh ins next week. God only knows what the comparison will be like to my old (dodgy) scales. Hopefully they will be aligned with the gym ones as 10.12 I can cope with Grin

Missing you Fjorny Sad, although I can't berate you as I was MIA for such a long time........

SummerSazz · 12/10/2014 09:13

Ooh just looked back on last year and found these stats:

Thurs 5th Sept - 11.4
Thurs 26 Sept - 10.13.0
Thurs 17 Oct - 10.10.25
Thurs 5 December - 10.7.5

So, depending on weigh in on Fri I am in the same ballpark which is good. Would love to be 10 1/2 by Dec. I know what I have to do, just need to keep it up.

Luckoftheirish · 12/10/2014 11:20

That sounds promising sazz and bikini ready em don't think so!

We have had this thread for over a year lol

SummerSazz · 12/10/2014 12:55

6.5k run just now Smile

Roast dinner in the oven though so swings and roundabouts lol

SummerSazz · 12/10/2014 20:57

It wasn't the scales delivered today but a book for dd1's birthday Hmm

Within cals today and I even had 2 roasties. Yum Smile. Glass of red to accompany Downton already factored in Grin

Luckoftheirish · 13/10/2014 06:39

Fingers crossed the scales turn up today. Sounds like you are on a good roll Smile

Me not so much. Have had a bad headache for a couple if days and not sleeping very well. I am sitting here trying to muster the enthusiasm to do some exercise but it's just not happening!

Hopefully will try and attempt some later if this headache ever lifts!

SummerSazz · 13/10/2014 07:42

Oh boo LOTI :( hope you feel better later. 10 mins exercise done here.

DoctorGilbertson · 13/10/2014 20:01

Not good. Um 12 9. BUT

I start a new job in a week and a half and I will be cycling about 10 miles a day as part of the commute.

Hopefully. Bike ready, so fingers crossed.

SummerSazz · 13/10/2014 22:32

Wow DrG - 'cycling 10m as part of the commute'. Are you working in Scotland Grin

Are you doing anything in particular food wise or just hoping the scales will suddenly be kind to you?

Been good again with food within cals and went for a walk at lunchtime despite it blowing a hoolie so pleased with that. Scales should arrive tomorrow . Oh, and booked our Xmas party places today so operation Xmas dress is in full swing!!

SummerSazz · 13/10/2014 22:33

LOTI - how's the head?? Have you been drinking enough water? I forgot to take a big bottle to work and ended up only having a couple of glasses. Must do better.....

DoctorGilbertson · 14/10/2014 05:16

Um, just hoping. You are right. Nothing will happen unless I actually do something. Sigh.

On the up side re: food instead of 1 bag of pears Tesco substituted 12 bags of apples in the delivery yesterday so we do have plenty of fruit at the moment.

No the cycle is 5m each way - the car option is either a massive motorway loop or the ring road in the city - according to google, driving to the park and ride and then cycling is pretty much the same.

I think that I will see how the cycling goes and whether exercise helps. I currently do very little.

But if you do have suggestions for nice snacks for watching TV in the evening that would be great - mostly I eat crisps and chocolate.

Luckoftheirish · 14/10/2014 07:13

Wow Dr G that will be some impressive exercise Smile re snacks at night time I am in the same dilemma! Thinking popcorn (the 100 cal bags) I guess grapes from the fridge or even some veggies and hommous? I have yet to try any of these Grin

Up this am for my 30 mins of the new DVD... Hoping all this punching is going to help . Headache still there but not as bad, I am suffering very badly from insomnia recently so I am guessing I am just one very very very very tired lady!

Well done on the exercise yesterday sazz and keeping in with the cals. It did not stop raining here yesterday and not looking great todayHmm

Have re downloaded my fitness pal to try and see where all my calories go...

SummerSazz · 14/10/2014 07:39

Blimey you two early birds. Slept in solidly today so no exercises thus am. I WILL make up for it later.....

I don't tend to snack in the eve as once DC are in bed I have a long bath with a large glass of squash and don't eat dinner till 8.30/9 ish. Against all diet 'wisdom' but works ok for me.
Just careful on fruit snacks as they are calorific (albeit healthier) - see my point on grapes v wine earlier in the week. If you want to actually lose weight and not cut out food groups then I'm still convinced you have to calorie count . Interested to hear where yours do go LOTI & make sure you put in your exercise too.

AgentBartowski · 14/10/2014 11:27

I hope you don't mind me joining in. Sazz sent me a link to the thread after helping me on my own thread on Sunday.
I have 3 stone to lose. I've decided to go with calorie counting using My Fitness Pal and today is my second day! I did well yesterday I seem to be getting obsessed with a number of health apps on my phone Smile
I really want to do it this time, I need to learn to deal with the well meaning diet saboteurs in my life and get on with it, but bloody hell it's hard Grin

SummerSazz · 14/10/2014 18:31

Hello Agent, lovely to see you come and check out our motley crew Grin. I too am now obsessed with my app gadgets, so recently have purchased a fitbit and fitbit scales and am logging on Food Focus! As you can see we randomly post but have been at it 5 years - in that time I have lost 4+ stone and never been more than 1 and a bit stone heavier than my lightest so I'm calling that a success Smile

No run this morning as weather was vile so came home and dusted off the shred and did Level 1 with weights. No problems but got very sweaty so def can't do before work without washing hair.

Fitbit scales duly set up and say 11.4 and 48% body fat. . However there are a fair few reviews which say it takes a while for them to calibrate so I bloody well hope this is the reason for such scary readings. Will try again in the morning after first wee

I tried my work dress on today and just about squeezed in, so hopefully in a couple of weeks I can wear it without risk of seam splitting.

DoctorGilbertson · 14/10/2014 18:35

mmmm. those bags of popcorn are an idea. I could even make some.

Hello Agent Bartowski. Everyone here is quite good at advice. I am less good at following it, but still appreciate the advice!

Luckoftheirish · 14/10/2014 19:02

Welcome Agent Smile

Managed the double school run walk today hurrah Smile

I too have logged everything on fitness pal, I think logging make you question if you really need that treat Grin

AgentBartowski · 14/10/2014 19:10

Thanks for the welcome. Grin
Double school run here too, have logged everything on my fitness pal for the last two days and feel pretty happy if a little bit hungry. Wink
I have an app called Human which tracks my movements and then feeds the results into MFP, this way I can't exaggerate my exercise and justify a packet of crisps.

SummerSazz · 14/10/2014 20:10

Christ things are getting worse here - just checked my phone and my weight has uploaded from the scales via wifi and it has gone on as 11.5. Gahhhhh.
Fat % at 40.8 rather than 48% so must have misread that. So if scales are correct then I have a stone to lose rather than half a stone so I need double the commitment now Grin

How far are school runs for everyone? Ours is 1.25 miles (hilly, natch) each way so good when I can do it.
