New thread, this one WILL work!!!!

OP posts:
Luckoftheirish · 14/10/2014 20:31

Aw mine is only a mike there lol and it's flat Grin

AgentBartowski · 14/10/2014 20:45

Mine is only half a mile Grin but it's up hill and I do push a toddler in a buggy.
It's 2 miles a day so 10 miles a week which is better than nothing, I hope!

AgentBartowski · 14/10/2014 20:56

Now the kids are in bed I thought I'd introduce myself properly.
I'm 38 and a SAHM to 3 DDs, 8, 5 and 2. I'm 5'7" and currently 14st 6. I would love to lose 3 st which would take me to the top range of a healthy BMI and a size 14.
This was my weight on my wedding day and if I can get to that I'll be really happy anything less than that and I think I would struggle to maintain. Although obviously I can decide how I feel when I get there Smile
So that's it, I have three lots of baby weight to lose, a feeder husband and a trip to Disneyland Paris as inspiration.
I'm glad to have found this thread Flowers to Sazz

Luckoftheirish · 14/10/2014 21:10

Mike? Mile!!

SummerSazz · 14/10/2014 21:33

Thanks for the Flowers - we are all fairly similar ages and DC ages on here too Smile. I have 2 DD's 8 & 6 and work 3 days a week (which are FAR more sedentary days than non work days - something I am trying to sort out).

I'm 5.5 and started losing weight at 14.2. I wanted to get to 12 which I was on my wedding and managed this and just kept going to 10st which I was gobsmacked by Grin

DH has just got on the new scales and reckons they have him about 1/2 stone heavier too . However given we haven't had working scales for at least 6 months we might just be deluded Grin

Food within budget Smile

FjorGynAndHotWater · 14/10/2014 22:12

Just nipping on to say hello and Blush because this is about to fall off threads I'm on... Still sort of on it but not v successfully, will be back tomorrow I promise!

SummerSazz · 15/10/2014 06:45

Hi Fjorny - good to see you Smile. And do come back later!!

Morning weigh on new scales is 11.2 - I'll see how that calibrates with the gym scales later (which will be after brekker etc) and then hopefully read a few more reassuring reviews on the web Wink

Luckoftheirish · 15/10/2014 07:27

Morning all wow all of sudden busy threadSmile

Done my 30 minutes kick boxing Smile

SummerSazz · 15/10/2014 09:25

Well done LOTI.
Gym scales say 10.11 so a fair discrepancy Hmm. Will have to go by clothes fit which wasn't really the point of buying new all singing/dancing scales Hmm

SummerSazz · 15/10/2014 12:43

1.5k run, 1hr circuits, 45 mins spin

Luckoftheirish · 15/10/2014 19:25

Woo hoo sazz you are on a roll Smile and I would stick with what the gym scales say Smile

Double school run walked and everything tracked on mfp Grin

FjorGynAndHotWater · 15/10/2014 21:32

Right then, am back, sorry for being away. Not sure what happened other than being a fat bloater and eating rather tyhan posting Blush

Was up 2 on Friday Shock to 12 7 so still half a bloody stone of summer weight to lose before I start on the pre-Christmas loss and it's half term in 9 days... rubbish all weekend but trying really hard this week and so far back to 12 7 with one more fasting day between now and weigh in. Eek. and all my new lard keeps going on my tummy and bum so I don't look that fat but none of my clothes fit me any more. I bought a couple of dresses last week, in Primark where the sizes do seem to be a bit stingy but a size 16 was too tight round my middle ShockSad

Sazz shame your two sets of scales are so different but guess it doesnt really matter as long as you are losing on both of them! Keep up the exercise!!!

Loti sorry you have been feeing poorly, hope you are much better now, and how's your DH's leg?

Welcome Agent Smile hopefully you can spur us on as we have got a bit crap lately! I'm the old lady of the group at 45, was always fattish till after my DS was born and I hit 40, I suddenly decided to lose weight and went from about 15 stone to 11 10ish with hardly any bother. Then it was Christmas... and in the last 5 years I have put on and lost the same stone and a bit on average three times each year

Luckoftheirish · 16/10/2014 07:13

Morning Smile

Thanks for asking re dh's leg fjorny (agent my dh broke his leg in three places over the summer )

D day today as he goes back to the consultant. 3 options 1 it's improving but needs to stay off it longer 2 it completely on the mend and he can slowly start to put weight on or 3. No improvement and another op required!

So we are praying for option 2 but realistically I think it will be 1. If it is 3 I shall be consuming an enormous vat of wine Smile

Agent I forgot to introduce myself Wink I have 2dds 9 and 6 was a sahm mum for 8 years and finally went back to work last dec. I never have that much weight to lose but witching the last 5 years I have bobbled about losing and gaining the same hand a stone (we are consistent here Grin)....

Have done my 30 minutes kick boxing and will aim for the school walks if the weather holds

SummerSazz · 16/10/2014 08:41

Was away at parents last night so fed by mum with a glass of Wine so will have to guesstimate later on FF. However given all my exercise I am pretty confident I will be within limits. 5 mins exercises this morning - not a lot but better than nowt Grin

Catered lunch today so just need to stay focussed and be sensible....

Fjorny - I am SO with you on clothes not fitting but am absolutely refusing to buy any more. How did you get on with SW btw?

FjorGynAndHotWater · 16/10/2014 21:49

Been alright today, eaten nothing all day despite temptation lying around at work, spoiled it a bit with sausage in my lentil soup for tea but was bloody delicious and full of goodness as well as fat Grin

Going to try REALLY hard not to snack during the day tomorrow, have yogurt with raspberries for breakfast and big salad with cottage cheese for lunch. 3 people from our 6-man team off too so might be too busy to snack Shock as will be chief minion... then will undo all with burger & gin Blush

Sis babysitting tomorrow so DH & I can go out for 2nd Saturday in a row Grin she is vegan so at least will be lower cal tea on Sat - doing veggie curry Smile just need to not call in to halal shop on way home for best mango chutney ever... and naan breads & bombay mix

OP posts:
SummerSazz · 17/10/2014 07:07

Just about ok yesterday calorie wise (over 1200 but under 1800) despite food involving sausages & wine. Oops!
Official weigh in (sorry Agent we should have said out official weigh in day is Friday but we all go off piste a little Grin) was 11.0 so 5lb down since they arrived Hmm. Will do another calibration test on weds....
10 mins exercises done and off to work shortly.
Happy Friday Ladies Smile

Luckoftheirish · 17/10/2014 07:21

Morning happy Friday everyone Smile did my 30 mins kick boxing. Scales are probably about 1lb up but tummy is very bloated. My waist is measuring nearly 2 inches bigger than the beginning of the week Shock but I know it is bloating.

Lots of peppermint tea for me today!

Sazz it reckon that your new scales will catch up you are doing so well Smile

Well done too fjorny and a little sausage is not going to harm you GrinGrinGrin

I have logged on mfp every day since Tuesday eating all my calories tho probably not all my exercise ones so should I be doing that?

SummerSazz · 17/10/2014 09:10

I think you should be eating a good proportion of your exercise calories LOTI otherwise there isn't enough fuel for your body.

FjorGynAndHotWater · 17/10/2014 20:25

Just 1 off to 12 6 but kept it in check at work and not going too crazy so far tonight. Burger is cooking though Grin

OP posts:
Luckoftheirish · 20/10/2014 07:10

Oh good god the scales are horrificHmm got the serious bloat going on so will be drinking water water water and think eating mainly soup to try and flush my system!

Did fat blaster and abs today

SummerSazz · 20/10/2014 09:17

Arse Blush fuckit Angry twat Sad

Luckoftheirish · 21/10/2014 09:15

I agree 100% sazz Smile

Managed school walks yesterday and done fat blaster/abs and school walk this am. Flushing out my systems with lots of water so hoping by the amount of weeing I am doing already today it might start easing the bloat!

SummerSazz · 21/10/2014 11:09

Bad weekend (well from sat afternoon to sun evening). Did go out for a walk on Sunday but insufficient to do battle against food and drink

11.4 this morning but just working up impetus to go for a run now....

Well done on jumping straight back on the wagon LOTI Smile

SummerSazz · 21/10/2014 12:06

6.5k run completed

Luckoftheirish · 21/10/2014 19:02

Second school run done and got drenched again! Then my pal dragged me out in the howling wind for a very brisk walk Smile
