you can save some points but its not loads. Excercise points can be redeeemed whenever. The excercise has to be abnormal - if you always do it (or did when yu were fat) you cant count that

Coddy · 13/03/2004 13:00

think its 2/4 - no you dont have to eat them

Allegra · 13/03/2004 14:51

I've got quite motivated reading this thread and hearing about all your success. I'm thinking of joining WW online but before forking out £49 I'd really like to know if anyone is doing it this way and if they think it is worth the money. Paying up front would give me another reason to stick with it but I'm not terribly clear what I'm getting for the money. I need to lose at least 2 stone. Can anyone recommend the online version?

wog · 13/03/2004 14:57

hi everyone just wanted to tell you all I have been trying to do weight watchers for ages but not really succeeding on my own, so I am taking the plunge and joining a class tomorrow with my neighbour she has lost 5 stone in a year, I will let you all know tomorrow my weigh in and how much I have to loose.

mammya · 13/03/2004 15:11

Thanks Hula, have just emailed you.

Coddy · 13/03/2004 15:28

allegra think cd reckoned it wasnt as godod as the classes. I would recommend them

Demented · 13/03/2004 16:47

Oh dear, I don't do any abnormal exercise!

RexandBen · 14/03/2004 14:02

I've just won a starter pack on Ebay so its all systems go here! I officially started yesterday and have lost 1 lb already! I love the first week - its so encouraging.

I have to admit I'm struggling keeping to 18 points though I was spoilt when I was breastfeeding - I could have 24 points!

Hulababy · 14/03/2004 14:07

Demented:

You can gain up to 12 points a week through exercise; up to you whether you use them for extra food/drink points. If you don't then you may lose weight quicker. You can only save points for up to 7 days at a time.

You can save up to 4 points a day for up to 7 days. I often save up 2-4 points a day if I have a big weekend coming up where I want to drink and eat more. I just eat lots more sald during the week

Demented · 14/03/2004 14:22

Thanks Hulababy, today is my first proper day and I have had 8 points already. Does anyone know how many points are in a Milkyway? This is the only chocolate we tend to have in the house, I buy them for the kids but end up eating most of them myself (shhh don't tell them).

I think I will try not to eat any points I gain from exercise but it is always handy to know they are there in case I need to use a couple of them, emergencies etc!

Hulababy · 14/03/2004 14:26

Don't know choccy points sorry. I avoid chocolate now cos I can't just have one. DD has some fudges in the fridge and it drives me mad when I open the door

Further down is says that a curly wurly is 2.5 points so maybe aorund that amount maybe?

RexandBen · 14/03/2004 15:43

Demented - there are 1.5 points in a funsize (17g) milkyway and 2 points in a standard (26g)

magnum · 14/03/2004 15:50

I am about 5ft 5in and weigh about 10st 7lb in the mornings when I wake up. I've always thought I look kinda ok but reading this I am quite overweight I must be kidding myself! Can someone tell me what my ideal weight should be please. I am trying to follow ww but not sure how many points I'm allowed each day.

Demented · 14/03/2004 15:59

Thanks RexandBen, I'll need to cut down on those then!

magnum this site here may help.

magnum · 14/03/2004 16:04

Demented, great site, I know I'm really thick now but are there 13 or 14 lbs to a stone??

Demented · 14/03/2004 16:12

14lbs in a stone.

magnum · 14/03/2004 16:15

Thanks, i need to lose over a stone then Easier said than done.

Jeeling · 14/03/2004 17:50

Have a yummy soup recipe which is no points - made with Pumpkin (when in season) or Butternut Squash. Mind you having said that you really wouldn't know what vegetable it was made with - it just takes really good.

Coddy · 14/03/2004 18:10
