What is the turkish bread called?

mammya · 02/06/2004 00:38

Thanks MB, but I ate a couple of mini ones, and I don't know how much smaller than the regular size brownie they are. I've counted them as 2 points each, but it would be good to know exactly... As for the turkish bread, no idea what it's called. I just call it turkish bread...

MadameButterfly · 02/06/2004 01:13

sorry could not find the mini ones on te website database.

mammya · 02/06/2004 01:16

I know, I looked too... Oh well never mind, will just have to approximate... Thanks for looking it up anyway MB

Hi there!

Does anyone know how many points there are in strawberries? I imagine pretty low, but my free trial with ww has elapsed and I'm doing really well (or at least until I had a chinese last night!!)

thanks

B

berny7 · 09/06/2004 12:25

By the way....

I've just been reading some of your stories - you are all doing really great!! I seem to lose about 4lbs, think I'm doing great but then slip into bad habits again!

Hulababy - I noticed that you said you have a copy of the points electonically. I go away in 5 weeks and wondered if you would mind emailing them to me?? My free online ww has just elapsed and I don't really have the coin to keep on subscribing! I only have some ancient books but are v out of date

Please let me know if you don't mind

Hulababy · 11/06/2004 13:36

E-mail me berny - claireandrich(at)beeb(dot)net
They are the points from the Pure Points scheme so also not the most up to date.

Piffleoffagus · 11/06/2004 14:24

turkish bread , do you mean pitta?? very good alternative I find, great with thick chunky points free vege soup or stuffed with salad and chicken!
I have been very bad last week. Gorged on takeaway, sensible takeaways though not really bad ones, and some beer too-- the heat you now and the tennis...
Am still same weight so need a really lean week this week...

mammya · 12/06/2004 01:24

No, I don't mean pitta, I mean the white fluffy flat turkish bread, it's looooovely, almost like french bread. Which, thinking about it now, probably means that it's about the same point value as baguette.

berny7 · 12/06/2004 11:34

Thanks Chocolat and Hulababy!

B

Piffleoffagus · 12/06/2004 14:47

I indulge in baguette with point free soup. sin free satisfaction and it fills you up for hours!
Once you learn to ditch the 3 inches of buuter you once had on it that is...

berny7 · 12/06/2004 19:02

Here's a great one for all you bbq fiends!

Low point Chicken Fajitas!

Morrisons Flour Tortillas (they do a certain type that work out at 1 point each!!!)

peppers, onions, spices - 0 points

Chicken breast 2.5 pts (makes 2 fajitas)

Get some skewers and thread on peppers, onions and chicken that have been tossed in fajita spice mix.

Chuck on the bbq until brown. Then fold into a tortilla with lots of salad!!

Voila! Two tasty fajitas for 4.5 points!!! Who needs burgers!!!??

berny7 · 13/06/2004 15:28

BTW does anyone know what WW fruities are like? do you have to go to classes to get them? are they a real substitute for sweeties??

champs · 14/06/2004 02:46

mamaya--- is it the one sort of oal and golden colours, with criscross patterns on it? I love that one!!
berny7--- last time I had the ww sweeties are very tough and got stuck in my teeth, a bit like them fruit gums that used to be sold in yellow tubes by rowntree i think. They taste nice but the texture isn't.

chocokat · 14/06/2004 19:35

Hi can anyone tell me how many points in a snackajack rice cake?? Please..... as for the sweets berni .... i like them .... and they are so low in points you can almost disregard them x

chocokat · 14/06/2004 19:59

not sure if you can just walk in and buy them .... they are expensive so i imagine they like to sell? could you call a local rep and ask them .. maybe you could stock up !
