champs · 29/03/2004 00:15

I want to sign up for online thingy but it declined me as i am breast feeding, wat i want to know is, is it bad to lie and just add the breast feeding points??

wog · 29/03/2004 13:33

Hi everybody had a really bad week last week - got weighed yesterday have put on 3 pnds but Im back on track today - just wanted to say I have the weight watchers electronic calculator eating out book and lots of ww recipe books so if need anything let me know!!

Grommit · 29/03/2004 18:44

went out this weekend - Sat had lunch out, choc brownie and cappucinos, indian meal and then on Sunday had a pub lunch (Scampi) and had various glasses of wine - just got weighed and lost 2.5 lbs this week? Huh? This does nto make sense - one week I stuck ridgidly to my points and lost nothing...

Allegra · 30/03/2004 10:30

Champs,I cant see there would be any harm in it as long as you were eating a balanced diet and aiming for a gradual loss. I dont know how many extra points you would need for breastfeeding, though.
I am doing the online version and I find it convenient to keep track of points on the pc as I spend so long sitting here anyway!

fairydust · 31/03/2004 14:55

HAve bite the bullet and have joined a ww class today and am really looking forward to it all.

champs · 02/04/2004 19:50

hi, has anyone noticed the ww online thingy is really slow? i haven't been able to use it for the last 2 days!!!!

Allegra · 02/04/2004 20:13

Haven't noticed any problems, Champs. I have just been on there. Did you work out how many extra points you earn for bfing?

champs · 02/04/2004 20:23

i think from down the thread it said 6

Hulababy · 02/04/2004 20:26

Well done FD! Good luck.

CountessDracula · 02/04/2004 20:33

no champs it's been fine for me - are you on broadband?

champs · 02/04/2004 21:19

yes am on broadband

marthamoo · 03/04/2004 16:28

Went out for a meal last night. Won't torture you all by telling you what I had. Just worked out the points - roughly - using WW online database.

Conservative estimate...47 points.

Ooops!

Oooh I enjoyed it though

collision · 03/04/2004 16:29

LOL.....MM.......lettuce today then?

Ghosty · 04/04/2004 03:59

Thought I better check in here ...
Good and bad couple of weeks.
After losing nothing in the first week I lost 4lbs in the second Yay!!!!
I think I have probably put it all on again though ... have had fallen off the wagon big time this last couple of days with eating crap. Had banana muffins and a choc orange magnum today ... I daren't add up the points ...
Need some motivation, people, to kick me up the bum ...

Champs · 04/04/2004 13:55

ghosty...how about the thought of summer?
we had an unexpected hot day last week and i paniked!!! i had to take my coat off!!! then i started thinkin bout summer and i want to be able to look normal and leave my coat at home.

are you going away this year?
also for an incentive how about saving a £ for each lb you loose... then you can buy a lovely outfit when you reach your goal weight.

Demented · 04/04/2004 16:11

Oh I like the idea of saving £ for every lb.

Ghosty, if it helps you could join MN Mamas and have your loss announced every Friday night (UK time, your in NZ aren't you?). If you want to join us e-mail me a mn.bigmamas(at)virgin(dot)net, give me your start weight, target weight (if any) and email me every Thursday with your loss for the week. We celebrate milestones, first half stone etc.

nutcracker · 04/04/2004 16:23

I am 5'2 and weigh just under 9 stone (today anyway). Anyone know what my weight for my height should be. I want to get down to about 7 1/2 - 8 stone. Is that too much. I weighed 7 1/2 before kids and people said i looked ill.

Ghosty · 04/04/2004 21:22

oooh demented ... I might well do that
Champs ... great idea about summer ... except we are facing winter here in NZ ... winter here is long and boring with no 'real' cold weather (in Auckland) and no christmas to look forward to ... and rain, rain, rain and more rain!

Lisa78 · 04/04/2004 21:24

Too much I think Nutty. I'm 5ft 2 as well and am about 9 4.5 at the mo, was between 8 and 8.5 BC!
And I was nicely slim then

Has anyone tried WW chips? Are they nice?

Ghosty · 04/04/2004 21:26

Nutty ... 7 1/2 sounds quite little ... even for 5 foot 2 ...
I don't know what the WW weight for you should be ... hope someone can answer your question ...

fairydust · 05/04/2004 09:42

ww chips nice - roast potoatoes not nice

Fio2 · 05/04/2004 09:44

I bought the chips yesterday, will try them tonight

Allegra · 05/04/2004 10:01

Nutcracker, the WeightWatcher tables say between 7 st 11 and 9st 11 for your height and 8 st 7 is the minimum joining weight

CountessDracula · 05/04/2004 10:02

I had a terrible sunday - ate 2 flapjacks and 2 shortbread biscuits as well as all my points
