Hi all!! (waves!)

Cant believe our last thread filled up so quickly!

For those of you who don't know us, the 'Avoid the Quiche' Quiche is a group of people who all want to lose a substantial amount of weight (no coming on here complaining about the half a stone you desperately need to lose, thanks very much!) We all have different personal goals and reasons for wanting to lose weight, whether it be for a special holiday coming up, to aid fertility or to be healthier. This thread is a place to share your highs and lows, talk to like minded people, get encouragement and offer support to others when they need it!

Official weigh in day is Wednesday- Slimmer of the week will get a virtual bunch of flowers, woohoo!! Flowers

I personally am aiming to lose 6 stone. It wont be easy but i've got a great bunch of ladies behind me keeping me focused and for that i'm very grateful! Smile

I tend to wear jeans loose fitting tops or leggings and tunics. I'd love to wear a skirt or dress.

MiaWallace · 11/09/2013 06:34

Sorry I haven't posted much lately. I have been crazy busy now I'm back at work.

I have been reading the thread though and keeping up with what's going on .

1lb off for me this week. Huge relief since I was convinced I was going to gain or STS managed to turn it round since Sunday though and my head is now back in the game.

Good luck to everyone weighing in today.

cq · 11/09/2013 07:00

3.3 off this week!! YES! Don't feel I deserve it but I'll take it, thank you very much!

Like Mia, feel I've got my head back in the game this week now the kids are both back at school. I'm up and dressed in my running gear - I WILL get out there this morning.

Good luck all, let's send a few guinea pigs packing today Smile

BirdingWidow · 11/09/2013 07:03

Hello, I am 2lb down this week (a miracle after all that wedding booze, but I have been very good the rest of the time). Might also be benefitting from just having had soup for dinner last night - might weigh more after proper food but I'm not looking till next week!

If I can lose another 2 I will be in the 13s. Feel quite motivated by that. Good luck today everyone.

phantomhairpuller · 11/09/2013 07:05

I've been AWOL again recently, no real reason to be honest, I just haven't had anything to add to the thread I suppose Hmm

Anyway, it's weigh in day so here I am! Stayed the same this week- I'm happy with that as I've wriggled into my size 16 jeans this week so I know it's coming off Grin

Good luck weighers!

BirdingWidow · 11/09/2013 07:09

Ooh well done Mia and cq (must refresh screen before posting). Maybe the school term will help people - I always feel like a new start pencil case at this time of year.

And soup season is upon us! I had lentil and chestnut last night and it was yummy. And a bit Christmassy too

clarinetV2 · 11/09/2013 07:11

Some good news already this morning. Birding, good luck with getting down into the 13s. It's lovely seeing those numbers come down.

Another pound off for me this week. [lobs gerbil onto the pile]

YellowCanary1 · 11/09/2013 07:31

Morning all, well done!
Don't quite understand it but after holiday on friday I weighed myself and was 13st6. Today I'm 13st exactly!? I've been very good but mainly put it down to ebf ds2 who seems to be going through a growth spurt and has fed constantly! So that's a 6lb loss for me and a total of 3 stone off, with 1stone left to go! Next week I could be in the 12s!!

IKnewHouseworkWasDangerous · 11/09/2013 09:16

Remember that nearly a lb I lost last week well I only lost the rest of it this week so we will call that sts. I will take that I have made some terrible slips this week and if it edges down even slightly after those then my normal habbits the rest of the time really have changed.

Well done on the impressive losses everyone.

MissElodie · 11/09/2013 09:39

Loving the way these poor guinea pigs are being lobbed onto the pile and sent on their merry way Grin

Some great losses - well done all and especially yellow on your 6lb loss wow!! Good luck to those still to weigh in.

Great stuff phantom getting into your size 16 jeans

I've lost 3lb this week yay!! Grin.

Start weight 16st 9lb
current weight 15st 12lb

Bye Bye to 16 stone - I WILL NOT see you again thank you very much!

LayMizzRarb · 11/09/2013 11:14

2.1 lbs off here! Is that nearly a guinea pig?

Lorelai · 11/09/2013 11:34

That's 2 guinea pigs LayMizz!

Well done everyone, some fanastic losses today. I will update after my SW weigh in tonight, I am hopeful for a decent loss so fingers crossed!

cq · 11/09/2013 12:02

Yellow that's great - makes all that stress worthwhile eh?!

And Isaac - another milestone achieved, well done.

Haven't we all had a good week? Grin

Poor guinea pigs Hmm

YellowCanary1 · 11/09/2013 12:37

Thanks all and well done others on the great losses!
I got DS2 weighed this morning and at 14 weeks old he is a whopping 19lbs 8oz Shock . Well at least I know where my 6lbs has gone!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 11/09/2013 14:12

Congratulations on all the great losses everyone! Grin

I have lost a whole pound in my first week. I am actually quite pleased because I really struggled to get my head on straight last week and over the weekend.

Start weight 13st 5
Current weight 13st 4

Clothes-wise, the mums at DS1's school are very mixed (he is in Y1). Mornings are a mixture of smart work clothes, running/gym kit, jeans and fleece, trendy/smarter casual clothes.
I mostly wear either jeans or a tunic/dress with boots in the winter, and cotton or linen trousers or a dress in the summer.
I do make more effort now than I did a couple of years ago, mainly because I'm a couple of stone lighter (was 15st 9 at my heaviest), and I'm no longer needing to wear clothes that are suitable for BFing.

Today I'm wearing skinny jeans, tan loafers and a cap-sleeved cotton knit jumper that comes to about mid-hip and therefore covers the dreaded belly! I'm going to put my hoody on to go and do school pick up because it is cold.

Debs75 · 11/09/2013 14:18

another half a pound on this weekSad

On the plus side I have been sticking to WW properly this week and I even did well enough for a couple of custard creams last night.

Today is going well, it is a filling and healthy day which is quite like Slimming World. I am hoping this all shows next week

HenriettaPye · 11/09/2013 16:53

2lb off!! Smile
