Hola.
Thought we needed a new thread Grin
Last day at work for me Grin Grin Grin

Well done Bssh on only gaining 1lb holiday weight, am hoping to emulate this!

Happy, it is something that some friends of dh and ours are doing, I am just hoping to burn over 1800 cals per week. Almost done 1000 in 2 days Grin
Only logging on mfp, nowt fancy. If you did the shred 6 days per week, that would have you on 1800 cals give or take, so it's not too difficult.

Faced scales this morning, 6lb on over December/Festive period. I did still go to the gym, but not enough to burn off food quantities consumed Blush
So, 1stone 9lbs to get off, no biggy Confused

Well I was going to try and slink back in here quietly and pretend I hadn't been missing for so long but in all honesty I just gave into temptation all through December (and the tail end of November if I'm being really truthful). Still the main thing is I'm back and on it.

I hope everyone had a fab Christmas and New Year. Ours was super even though we seemed to be plagued with illness up until the week before Christmas (I did start singing the 12 ailments of Xmas....4 chest infections, 3 new inhalers, 2uti's and an Achilles injury!). However it was very magical with dd totally overwhelmed and excited.

I am giving myself until Friday before I weigh in (will have to dust off the scales I think), in some desperate hope that my scales won't explode!
Whatever the outcome my new deadline is March when we go to Centre Parks with all of the in laws.

Your drive to exercise lizzy is amazing. I can't even begin to think how hard a triathalon must be!

I won't even mention any thoughts of doing the shred as you will all roll about laughing at the amount of times I have started the bloody thing. The intention however is to start Tuesday once dd and ds are back at school. I shall log it on mfp but not say anything on here until it's completed (then I expect a fanfare at the very least) Grin

Lizzylou · 06/01/2014 13:33

Good on you SDP. Monday going well this far Grin
Dh surprised us with a meal out yesterday afternoon, so my low day wasn't as low as I had planned ok I went over. Was lovely though. Gymmed again, need to get back running. But it is hilly and cold and wet.

lizzy I have spent a great deal of time thinking about that lobster ravioli you had Grin

Fasted today and has been a success!

starting the shred again tomorrow.....

I have shredded! Now to keep it up (which is the bit I seem to have a problem with).

Had to walk dd to pre school in the pouring rain....does that use up more calories?! Just hoping this crap weather clears now, we have been lucky so far, lots of standing water but no actual flooding. Getting home from work was a bit hairy though.

You're right about how things have changed lego, had I not found the Chiefs last March I would definitely not be where I am today. I have learnt so much about my eating and found a realistic way to lose weight with fasting. Most of all, the support on here and mfp is fab!

Here's to us all reaching our targets this yearSmile

pinkcheese · 08/01/2014 13:08

hello chiefs!

And a big thank you to the original thread last year which inspired me on to mfp and a 2st weight loss. Nov/Dec were full of birthdays and parties, so I start the new year 1.5st lighter than last year Smile

I'm still fitting into my size 14 jeans but there's a bit of a tum over the top.... I bought new jeans in the US and because of their different sizing system, the huge label inside says Size 10!!

Back on the programme now, and its hard to not eat cheese all day and drink the half bottle of port that's winking at me. I am doing a 40km Macmillan cycletta in June, so I need to do some more biking and walking in preparation so that I don't embarrass myself too much Blush Got a stone to lose to get to goal!

Feel free to friend me on mfp, my diary's open to all - panda101paws. Looking forward to a great 2014 with you all

anotetofollowso · 08/01/2014 17:35

Happy New Year Chiefs One and All. Nice to be back with you.

I'm delighted to be able to report a weight loss, but I can't really claim any credit for it. A nasty tummy bug over Christmas is responsible. Still, it's altered the way I've been eating for the last week or two, and I hope to maintain the loss however it happened.

What's the etiquette about starting a new thread then? We are getting very weighty on this one.

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 08/01/2014 18:18

anote feel free to start a new thread! I can never think of a good chiefing title so leave it to everyone elseSmile

What a shame having a tummy bug over Christmas, I hope you were able to enjoy some of the festive period.

I found an unopened pack of cheddar with mustard and ale in the fridge! Sadly I won't be slapping it on crackers with lovely butter. Sad

Day 2 of the shred done. Work tomorrow so day 3 will be on Friday.

Applesnotcakes · 09/01/2014 14:11

go for it on the new thread front anote, maybe it will reinvigorate things a little - we've been a bit quiet while everyone was busy over the holidays

but I for one am now back on it - not quite like sonic yet, struggling with not snacking in the evenings (dont tell TIP), but am back to pre Christmas weight and over 2.5 stone less than i was when I started. Plenty, oh yes, plenty, still to go but I feel now that's it's possible. Largely because of the Chiefs that have gone before - showing that its possible to lose 4 or 5 stone. Somehow its really changed my mindset about it all. So thanks a million Chiefs, i hope 2014 is all you want it to be.

RandallFloyd · 11/01/2014 19:45

Helloooooooooo you wonderful, wonderful people!

It is, as the lovely Lego pointed out, a year since The Chiefs were formed. (Well 'formed' makes it sound a lot more organised than it was, 'stumbled into each other' is more apt I think!)

January the 6th was my first ever weigh in so it was certainly an anniversary and a half!

I celebrated by enjoying a slap-up meal (after fasting the day before, natch Wink) whilst wearing a size 8 top and size 10 skinnies. I also made £200 selling all my fat clothes on eBay.

If I could snog each and every one of you I would.

pinkcheese · 14/01/2014 22:45

I don't usually snog people skinnier than me, but I might make an exception for Randall Grin Grin You're an MN and mfp legend! 'fuck you, skinny jeans' is my new mantra

I am also wearing jeans with a size 10 label - theyre really 14s but American Wink makes me feel thin though

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 18/01/2014 18:54

Bet that was a brilliant anniversary Randall !

I'm back in the pool and have upped my cals on MFP to see whether that makes a difference. 1300 was doing my fecking nut in and I was falling off the wagon every other day, so I'm on 1620 which is much more comfortable. The Christmas chocs are finished as of today.

I need to concentrate on cutting my snacking, cutting my sugar and shifting my arse as much as I can! I'm currently dithering about whether to enter a swim in September - the length of Coniston in the Lake District, 5.25 miles. I reckon that might give me something to aim for and might mean I add an extra swim or run session to my week.

Lizzy triathlon sounds fab, I'd love to do one but the run would be by far my weakest element and I've always been put off by the fact that it's last! What distance are you going for?

Happy New Year Chiefs! I'm hoping to end this one a smaller and wiser Chief Grin

Lizzylou · 19/01/2014 08:22

Randall Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks

Buzzy, it is a sprint triathlon, so 12 lengths of pool, cycle (no idea, but it's flat so won't be crying downhillBlush ) and 5km run.
I can do 5km on treadmill ok, not been outside for aaages.
I have mentioned on mfp, but I bought a kettlebell and have been doing 10mins here and there at home. It has made massive difference to my abs. Do it chiefs!

In further news, bloated and ouchy due to af..

Who is starting new thread?

OP posts:
happylass · 26/01/2014 09:33

Morning all and congratulations to the Chiefs on being a year old! Have come in for a good talking to/kick up the butt. Been eating crap, not exercising and not even logging on MFP. Logged every morsel that passed my lips from August to December but since I stopped for Xmas I can't seem to get back in to it. Any tips? It isn't all bad as I have shifted 2lb in the last 2 weeks through doing absolutely nothing but then that's not even all of my Xmas gain gone. First wedding dress fitting is in May so would like to shift at least half a stone by then which I think is doable if I get my act together. Going to try to have a better week this week and at least log everything.
Have a great Sunday all. If the weather's anything like it is here you're going to need a boat to get out and about!

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 24/02/2014 22:56

Bless me Chiefs for I have sinned it has been three months since I last fasted. I lost my gym pass. And found a lovely cake shop. I may have put on 7lbs. But I still play hockey twice a week and I'm running my third half marathon in a month this weekend and I still haven't really worked out how not to stop for a poo mid-race though I no longer piss myself whilst running so not all bad. I have Randalled a number of times each week and still managed to buy a size 8 dress three weeks ago Shock

I will be, if it ever fecking stops raining, fasting again in March with a view to doing something about my newly re-upholstered arse!
