I am hoping an hour and a half of watching ds1 swim with a squirming ds2 as dh is away will unblock my nose. Today I have had to be on the phone almost all day sorting house stuff with one nostril blocked and one, erm, just pouring Envy thats a bleurgh face.

Buzzy, it was good. Though the end is hazy, which ime and on previous form is never a good thing for me Blush I have a feeling I may have been rather honest . But I did have the presence of mind to think swift getaway Grin

Anote, I have to just think of maintaining at the moment, too much on, not much chance of exercise.

Applesnotcakes · 21/10/2013 18:13

hope you feel better soon Lizzy and hopefully hazy end means nothing too calamitous happened - surely that would cut through the fog if it did??? thats what i always hope anyway....

Randall please do before and after pics - would be tres inspiring i'm sure.

Buzzy I'm 14, 5 too and probably overeating more than I'm acknowledging but i def agree the very thorough logging of Randall and Bssh has got to create some kind of improved awareness that must help with cutting down. I'm sure we'll crack it if we keep paying attention.

I had to make a cake yesterday to bring to work today and eat very little of. Couldnt ignore it completely but did my best - must say Mary Berry knows a thing or two when it comes to cake recipes.

DoubleMum · 21/10/2013 19:23

Oh and the before and after pics Randall - that's not with the anusol.
did you think you had to put it up your nose?!
Ha ha ha ha.
Hope you feel better soon Lizzy.
Have made a nice healthy vat of sweet potato soup, but feel too bleurgh to eat it. Normal service will be resumed tomorrow.

Lizzylou · 21/10/2013 19:56

Are you not well Double?
Safe to say the swim club's fun night, wwithinflatable, music and screaming kids is not helping.Shoot me, shoot me now.

Hope so Apples. Mate has texted me and not said anything so either she can't remember either.....
I keep seeing a thread title in active convos as Questions about being bssh instead of British Grin

OP posts:
BsshBossh · 21/10/2013 20:32

A good thread idea actually - I question myself hourly so could do with some help Grin

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 21/10/2013 20:33

My worst leaving do was when loads of people I didn't know that well turned up to the pub and nearly all of them politely asked me "are you going to (insert name of boss's boss who I disliked intensely and who was leaving two weeks after me)?"

To which, apparently, I blithely replied every time (or rather the Smirnoff did, using me as a mouthpiece) "No! Because he's a cunt and I hate him!" Blush Blush

Lizzylou · 21/10/2013 20:41

Buzzy Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
Oh we have to do a Chiefs meet up.
You all sound women after me own heart.

OP posts:
buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 21/10/2013 20:44

That should've read that they asked me whether I was going to (hateful boss's boss's) leaving do not that that makes the anecdote any more clarsy Blush

Still cringe every now and then. And it was 8 years ago.

RandallPinkFloyd · 21/10/2013 20:45

I though you out it on the arse not up it. Not impressed Angry

Defo need a chiefly meet-up. T'would be totes hilair Grin

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 21/10/2013 20:46

YYY to Chiefs meet up! It could get messy though Hmm

DoubleMum · 22/10/2013 14:12

Very messy. Am not letting Randall sit on my sofa for a start.

(Just joking Randall. You know I lubs you really....)

Lizzylou · 22/10/2013 16:58

Or Tea! Shock

OP posts:
RandallPinkFloyd · 22/10/2013 18:38

You all suck Angry
I have a genuine medical condition and you do nothing but mock.

In unrelated news, my second fast day is a bust. Well not yet but it will be soon. XDH has bought a gorgeous looking chilli prawn linguine thing for tea. Complete with cheesecake and wine.

Luckily I had a sneaky weigh this morning and I've somehow still managed to maintain. Something like 0.4 up on my lowest weight which was a couple of weeks ago I think. I'm more than happy with that considering the Randalling I've done recently.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 22/10/2013 22:44

I'm alright Double as long as I don't run all the way to your house. I have recently lounged like a lizard on a sofa without shitting myself. Hell I ran 6.5 miles on Sunday without the trots [proud of self emoticon] ignores the almost incident on the way to work last week

My fasting isn't going well either. I think it's the walking everywhere that I'm now doing. I am sooooooo hungry all the time. Managed about 750 calories plus over an hours walking and an hour at the gym today. Not that I'm that bothered at the moment I don't think. I seem to be gaining and then getting rid of the same pesky 3lbs and it's all linked to my cake eating to my monthly cycle.

I'd love to Chief meet up too. It would be messy. It would be loud. I suspect I would spend the whole time squeezing Bssh's guns laughing my head arf. I've just put my name down for the Bath Christmas meet-up and as I was doing so was thinking this should be a Chief meet up Grin

Enjoy the delicious food with your XDH Randall. He sounds like the sort of XDH I could do with rather than the knobber I am lumbered with.

You know what I don't think I've ever called anyone a cunt in a mean it sort of way Shock

Lizzy and Double sending you get well vibes my lovelies.

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 23/10/2013 07:52

Tea I don't think I ever have before or since. As a good feminist I try to use it outside a "hate" context and generally am known for being a very calming influence at work most people apparently agreed he was one though

Got distinct intestinal rumblings towards the end of my run on Saturday. Not nice! I run a grid of streets near h

Got distinct intestinal rumblings towards the end of my run on Saturday. Not nice! I run a grid of streets near home though so it wouldn't have been far to dash to the bog. In a frank exchange that made both of us wonder whether we perhaps had lost the mystery, DH said that he purposely shits before a run "even if you only squeeze a little bit out" for this reason Grin

fist bumps weight twin anote we may not be weight twins any longer after the day I had yesterday. No idea what happened, it was bedtime and I'd already had 2300 cals which I wasn't happy with. Then I was making the packed lunches when suddenly I found myself pouring the potty training m&ms into my mouth like a woman possessed. Don't feel great about myself this morning Sad

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 23/10/2013 08:01

Sorry apples we are the weight twins!

Also sorry for the triple post below.

Randall that sounds like my kind of fast day (hence being 14 st 5 Wink ) Hope it was fun.

Applesnotcakes · 23/10/2013 09:29

Morning all, fist bump weight twin Buzzy back.

M&Ms inhalation incident sounds very familiar. Evenings are my worst - I can manage quite well all day, have a healthy dinner and then want sweet treats - I try to stick to one low cal yoghurt or mousse thing but get tempted by chocolate - i know, i know dont have it in the house , but what if I really, really NEEDED it?

I've been faffing around between 14 3 and 14 5 for ages and I dont know about you Buzzy but I'm feeling enough is enough. Am hoping for downward movement at weekend weigh in and then on we go. Time to get a grip.

And pre exercise bathroom visits ( see how genteely one can refer to these things?) are surely essential for all exercise - Jillian's jumping jacks might have been invented to cause leakage.

anotetofollowso · 23/10/2013 09:37

Ah Buzzy I was proud to be your weight twin for a moment or two there. We are definitely M&M spiritual twins at the very least - glad to hear I am not the only one who finds herself scoffing DS's treats tin.

I would adore to meet all the Chiefs but at this point I have to out myself. I am in South Africa, MN'ing from afar. I'll have to try and Skype or face-time you if you meet up - I will be soooo sad not to be there.

It's going better in Note land. I'm remembering again what I re-learn every time I start exercising - the exercise doesn't seem to make me lose weight but it has a big impact on my attitude to my body and to what I eat. I don't think I can do this diet malarkey without exercise to keep my head straight.

BsshBossh · 23/10/2013 14:00

When I got through a chocoholic moment I reach for a small pot of choc mousse or a low cal hot chocolate which seem to do the trick. Failing that I plan for sustituting an entire meal for equivalent calories in chocolate - not healthy I know but it works!

BsshBossh · 23/10/2013 14:01

*go through not got through

Dinkydoos · 23/10/2013 14:29

Hello all lovelies!
Been quite busy with one thing and another but same old feasting and fasting combo here. I have to confess to having a bit of a mid life crisis regarding cake. I have never been that arsed before but am a bit obsessed now, and have baked about three times in last month, as opposed to around 5 times in last 20 years. What is happening to me? I used to be a party girl, and everything! Quite literally found myself googling ' best ever Victoria sponge' recipes, and making notes.
Fecking hell, this is bbbbbbaaaaaad!

BsshBossh · 23/10/2013 15:01

Dinky me too! I'm eating more cake than ever (never used to eat it) though not (yet) baking cakes cause no one else in my family eats it but I'm baking lots of savoury muffins and scones. I'm 43 so it must be a mid-life thing.

Dinkydoos · 23/10/2013 16:35

45 here bshh , there's a pattern emerging. Sooooo savoury muffins you say????
