Hey new thread since our old stopping smoking and not gaining-too--much weight has been lost from chat! BOO!!!

I am not a good role model however as I HAVE piled on a stone, well 12 lbs now, since giving up the cigs.
This must be rectified!
Hence joining in the club section!

Donnadoon hope you find this thread.

Everyone else pile in, join and be happy or miserable bastard ex smokers

Whop whoop for the ganat!
So so pleased foe you.

Dog is still pottering about...need to rob a bank now to pay for the ongoing vet fees Sad
But glad he is happy enough, poor old boy!

Keep feeding!

OP posts:
Donnadoon · 13/02/2014 10:07

Oh Gawd for the vet fees
That's one thing we've never bothered with is pet insurance,
Decided to take our chance, what with him being a collie/lab cross and not a pedigree or nowt fancy
Touch wood he hasn't cost us much so far,
Alls going well here, going to toddler group this afternoon, sooooo looking forward to getting out again
The last two weeks have been an ongoing cycle of feeding sleeping and changing x2 in nappies
Not complaining though, it goes too fast, can't believe she'll be 3 weeks old on Sunday , and today was meant to be the day I was having her
Yay for the weekend tomorrow Fran :)

FrantasticO · 13/02/2014 21:14

Hey, get you out and about and running about...and it's your due date!!
Wonder Woman!!!

3 weeks has flown by, bet she's growing!
Love them at that age, but my fave stage is toddlers...so very funny!!

Dog is a miracle...doing trot like run around the garden.
He was at deaths door on Saturday, so a lucky boy!
No insurance here either, it's too expensive and we would able paid more over the years than the bills of the last weekjust!

He's been at the vet every couple of days but getting there now

Take it easy

Hi Fran
How's you? And mutt ?
Good I hope
It's been hard work here
Dd2 picked up a bug of some sort at toddler group
Been poorly since Friday night
She bloody loved it as well, had a lovely afternoon Thursday
And dd1 under the weather too
Thank goodness they off school now for a week, although ds2 is on a football course every day so we still have to get up and sorted to drop him off for 10 am everyday
It's been a lovely dry day here today, we went to the park
Friday night we had gale force winds, blew our fences down
DH and his pal cobbled them up yesterday in the pouring rain but they need cementing in properly at some point
Still...that's nowt compared to some poor people down South properly flooded out of their homes...must be awful
Anyhoo I have a sore throat coming, haven't had one since last year when it took me 6 weeks to shake off
I think that may have been to do with quitting smoking though
I read some shite on Google about the hairs re growing in the throat and such Confused
Soooo glad I kicked that habit, are you ? Ever tempted? I'm not , yuk, seriously hate the thought of ever putting one to my lips again, never think about them either.
Anyhoo again, sorry for the massive post Grin

FrantasticO · 17/02/2014 17:03

Aww hope the little ones feeling better today.
Horrible when they are ill.

Dog is on the mend.
I'm on my knees, knackered, fat and fed up! Grin

Roll on Tuesday... Pmt... Moi?...

Would I have a cig
if it meant I got some peace for 5 mins some days, hell yes
No I wouldn't, I'd be scared I'd like it too much.

Anyhoo
Take care.
Laters x

OP posts:
Donnadoon · 25/02/2014 18:22

Hiya yes she is at heifer weight woo hoo !
She feeds non stop at the moment, it's very tiring but I'm not complaining
The colds have gone and kids are back at school
I'm now trying to tackle my neglected house, DH is great at running the Hoover round and such but men don't see the splattersrry down the kitchen cupboards do they ? Nor the tide marks around the bath etc, so, just trying to catch up on all that
Don't worry I'm not over doing it but you know me I like to keep busy
And oh yes we are partial to a surf , DH is brilliant, he surfed in Australia and New Zealand during his back packing days (pre marraige and kids !
I just faff around paddling out and getting wiped out Grin
The kids are pretty good too considering we only get chance a couple of times a year
I'm really looking forward to getting away this year, we didn't go abroad last year in the end, DH wanted to go last autumn but I didn't feel up to it being pregnant and having a one year old
And we've decided not to go abroad this year have you seen the price of passports now for a start we've got our hands full, can't be doin with keeping two under two quiet even on a shortish flight
So we have booked two breaks away down in Devon so far :)
Anyhoo hope alls well with you
How s muttley ?

FrantasticO · 25/02/2014 22:26

Clotted cream...yum
I think I may be the only person in the world who asks for a dollup on my whippy Ice cream not the hard scoop one the soft sloppy one.
