Hey new thread since our old stopping smoking and not gaining-too--much weight has been lost from chat! BOO!!!

I am not a good role model however as I HAVE piled on a stone, well 12 lbs now, since giving up the cigs.
This must be rectified!
Hence joining in the club section!

Donnadoon hope you find this thread.

Everyone else pile in, join and be happy or miserable bastard ex smokers

Donnadoon · 04/11/2013 20:16

FrantasticO · 04/11/2013 20:48

Flowers
I'm here to listen though

FrantasticO · 05/11/2013 07:06

Thanks donna Flowers

You've summed it up, it's the end of an era and I am sad.
I KNOW we were not going to have any more due to money, work child care blah blah blah
BUT now we can't...ever...and it sucks a bit.

Having a moan, it's just the kids are my best achievement in life and I still felt there might be one more waiting out there for me.
Ah well
Would never have forced oh to have one and he knows it.

Will be bright n breezy again soon
Thanks for listening to my moans

You've been my wee rock this year!
Flowers

Off to work...joy!!!

OP posts:
Donnadoon · 07/11/2013 20:13

Hiya
Hope you are feeling brighter and breezier?
Alls good here
The second trimester really is a piece of cake compared to the first and third
Although little dd keeps me on my toes, it's nothing much more enjoyable compared to working full time 9-3 while the kids were at school like I was this time last pregnancy
Like today for instance, I was in town Xmas shopping all morning, then came home and cleaned the kitchen and mopped floor, then went and sat on my fat arse at toddler group for an hour and a half , tis all good today :)

FrantasticO · 12/11/2013 07:33

And I've jet washed the paths in my back garden, get me ? It's only Tuesday
I'm loving the sudden burst of energy, long my it continue, it won't though Grin
Keeps me away from the biscuit tin for 5 minutes Grin

FrantasticO · 12/11/2013 21:21

Just don't be too hung ho and make sure you get some rest!

Can't believe how the months are flying by for you.

Take it easyish...do not start any roof repairs!

Laters.

OP posts:
Donnadoon · 16/11/2013 08:07

Hiya
Ha roof repairs
I need to do some cementing in the front garden, just some repointing and fix a couple of bricks up but DH reckons it's too cold to set now
Enjoyed children in need last night, til I fell asleep, loved Harry hills 'take on me 'by A-ha. It was that or the footyGrin
My 17 year old Ds is worrying me ATM. He came in from clubbing at 6am this morning Shock he has work at 1.30 so can get a bit of sleep, but he has a gig tonight, he plays guitar, and work tomorrow afternoon, And a big college assignment to be in on Monday. DH says not to worry and let him be young etc but I'm not as laid back as him and just gave ds an earful.

FrantasticO · 16/11/2013 10:08

Remember being 17 and how much fun we had...regardless of how much our mums worried?
I suppose it's a cycle and you're on the receiving end of it, poor you.
He sounds a good boy though, working and gigging and studying, he will do good while having fun I'm sure!
Bet he gets lots of girls swooning with him being in the band too Grin
You've got it all going on with teenagers and bumps!
You really are a whirlwind aren't you!
Slow down and take it easy, you're only one wee woman!

BRB

Donnadoon · 20/11/2013 20:01

I'm back
Got interrupted by various children
Yes I've got a busy household and what with having a teenager is one of the reasons that I want more kids, because it goes so bloody fast!
I know it sounds corny but it really only seems 5 mins since I was taking him to nursery/first day of school and now he is in college!
I really don't want him to grow up and leave home, the thought fills me with dread, but I know it's natural
I'll be a nightmare when they are all gone, poor DH will have to put up with me, whining and crying for my empty nest
Ha ill probably be ready for the peace by then
Talk later

FrantasticO · 23/11/2013 10:20

I know how you feel!

It does go by so fast, it feels like yesterday we were getting ready to party for the millennium!

Can you believe we are nearly a year off the cigs and you nearly have a new person?

Off to the outlaws today, could do with a chill day after working all week but hey ho!
Tired and a leetle hung over...rare night out with other half last night!
Mexican food and wine am feeling the effects now!Grin

Enjoy the weekend
Oh, and slow down a bit!

OP posts:
Donnadoon · 23/11/2013 12:23

FrantasticO · 26/11/2013 19:34

Am liking my bed very much, with lots of pillows

I'm liking 2 mince pies per day :)
But don't think my arse will thank me in February when I'm no longer pregnant Grin
Oh well cross that bridge when I get there and all that:)

Donnadoon · 01/12/2013 14:48

OP posts:
Donnadoon · 08/12/2013 18:43

Hiya I'm here
Fat chance of me being swept away the winds Grin
Not even a hurricane would budge me at the moment Grin
Besides I always seem to be in bed
It's ridiculous at the moment I take dd age 14 months to bed with me at 7 pm with a view to watching some telly but I'm asleep within minutes
Then I'm awake half the night tossing and turning and going to the loo
Oh the joy!
29 weeks and counting down soon
I'm all ready for Xmas...til they see something else on the telly they want
It's all Christmas concerts and carol services for the next couple of weeks
I do love Christmas though :)
Hope alls well with you :)
