Week 9 - New Year Low Carb Bootcamp - Nearly there ...

BIWI · 04/03/2013 07:49

So we enter the last two weeks of Bootcamp. Still time to drop another 2-4lbs!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to come and confess all.

Remember, at the bottom of the spreadsheet is a tab for Ubercamp, if you fancy three strict days.

Good luck!

Thanks halfthesize, at least you're sympathetic unlike this othe two. Grin

Seriously I feel like death willie - is it the sugar?

NellVarnish · 05/03/2013 19:06

Good luck with the job Choos and happy birthday for the weekend!

BlackAffronted · 05/03/2013 19:12

Thanks for all your support guys, I really would have packed this in ages ago if it wasnt for you all. I have read loads about this WOE, so I know I want to eat this way for life, but it seems I am just maintaining my initial loss and was contemplating using a VLCD to get rid of the weight & eat low carb forever after (VLCD are low carb too, they work on ketosis). I know the science, I know this is the way to eat Grin Im just not seeing evidence in myself that its getting rid of my extreme weight. You are all fab Grin

JakeBullet · 05/03/2013 19:17

Menu today

B 2 rashers bacon plus a fried egg fried in butter.
L smoked salmon, a tablespoon of guacamole, rocket salad and mayonnaise.

A few olives and feta cheese as snack plus
half an ounce of Cambazola cheese...yummy

D pork chop and buttered cabbage.

Loads of water to drink
One cup coffee with cream.

Total carbs 20 according to MyFitnessPal.....and I am under the calorie allowance......and I don't feel hungry :)))))))

JakeBullet · 05/03/2013 19:18

Ooh thank you MrsHP, I didn't know that.....will go and have a look. Got no PC at the mo...am on iPad but guess I could check out the desktop site.

MrsHerculePoirot · 05/03/2013 19:26

Good plan jake

black I've said it before and I'll say it again, get the tape measure out NOW. Measure your bust around the biggest bit, around your arms, thighs and tummy and then repeat weekly. You may well be losing inches all over, just that Zumba is making you all muscular! You never know...

WillieWaggledagger · 05/03/2013 19:31

nell, could be the sugar, could be the wheat/gluten?

sorry you're feeling so rotten, though

NellVarnish · 05/03/2013 19:51

Aw thanks willie - maybe I'm coming down with something as well as having cake-induced torpor. Grin

I echo BlackAffronted in saying that the support from everyone on these threads, and the hints and tips, and the ups and downs, and recipes and science behind it all has really kept me going, so thank you everyone! Thanks

Iamaslummymummy · 05/03/2013 19:54

BIWI · 05/03/2013 19:55

Jake stop thinking about calories! Seriously. You really don't need to.

Black a VLCD is going to be low carb by definition - you won't be eating anything!

OP posts:
JakeBullet · 05/03/2013 20:04

No it's okay BIWI Grin, not really thinking about them at all.....hadn't considered them until I started the MyFitnessPal thing.

BIWI · 05/03/2013 20:07

Phew! Grin

thenightsky · 05/03/2013 20:56

Bloody hell... !!!!

Talk about carb creep.

No wonder I've only lost a pound in three weeks.

Just joined this myfitnesspal thing and done my daily food for today - 54 carbs - I don't believe it Shock

I was happily thinking I was running at about 20 or 25.

halfthesize · 05/03/2013 21:12

Black I'm sure its been mentioned before, but are you doing a food diary?? Its amazing how much snacking/carb creep sneaks in and you dont even realise until you start writing it down.

I agree with MrsHP get the tape measure out fast.

Ruprekt · 05/03/2013 22:29

My Food Diary today

4 THIN rashers smoked bacon.
Fried mushrooms in butter

L chicken breast heated in microwave with butter
gem lettuce
Mayo

D. Dressed crab (1.5g carb)
100g fried cabbage in butter
Bag watercress with mayo

Water
2 cups tea
1 coffee with semi sk milk
Peppermint tea

Will weigh in morning but was 184lb tonight!HmmHmmHmm

BIWI · 05/03/2013 22:33

Thought you were doing Ubercamp? How come the dairy?!

OP posts:
MrsHerculePoirot · 06/03/2013 00:00

Ruprekt you cannot weigh at night time!!! I can put on up to about 5 lbs in one day (maybe more if I weigh in my jeans!!!) by the end of the day after sloshing down all that water and eating all my meals. Always wait until the morning!

thenightsky just be careful as some of the carb counts on MFP are american way of counting which means they add the fibre and it all gets really complicated. Have a look at your total carbs and the fibre and subtract the fibre - that might put you down a bit...

MrsHerculePoirot · 06/03/2013 00:02

B - none, haven't got my act together yet this week
L - lettuce/leaves with various salami and feta cheese crumbled. I also made a salad dresing from olive oil, cider vinegar and a squirt of lemon juice. Was delish!
D - pork loins with leeks with that cheesy sauce.

Water - loads! 2 cups of tea, two coffees (one decaf) with cream.

crazycatlady82 · 06/03/2013 03:41

Ooh! Can I join?

I didn't know this was here. Although. Have 3 nights worth of m&s count-on-us to eat first Hmm

Xx

JakeBullet · 06/03/2013 06:16

Welcome crazycatlady, this is a fabulous thread....and we have BIWI to keep us on the straight and narrow. Occasionally she joins us on the naughty step though lol.

I am drinking my "one coffee a day with cream", no breakfast until later as I just don't feel hungry yet. Might have to take a portable breakfast today as I am at the local SEN office about "transfer to secondary school" where I will hear how they will place my autistic DS in a mainstream secomdary and hope for the best Hmm. And they will hear from me how that is NOT going to happen and they had better be ready for a fight.......and now thanks to this WOE I have the energy and the brain power to do it.Grin

I am awake and ready to kick arse.....and low carbing all the way. Bring it on.Grin

MsRinky · 06/03/2013 07:15

Hello all. I put on a pound this week, too much celebrating. Never mind.

MaryBeardfanclub · 06/03/2013 07:19

jake good luck today sounds like you have the Positive Mental Attitude you will need

you've just reminded me about another amazing side effect of this woe - PMA!

I would be a mess without this woe atm - ds2 up all night all the last week with horrific teething and I work full time - am coping OK Confused

MaryBeardfanclub · 06/03/2013 07:20

morning msrinky keep on keeping on I guess

halfthesize · 06/03/2013 07:32

crazycatlady82 · 06/03/2013 07:35

Am I right thinking no milk? I usually start my day with a latte.

Could I have a soya latte? Or almond milk latte? Is at allowed?
