Awww, DarklyDreaming, so sorry to hear what a hard time you've been having. I completely understand what a shock that must have been. I hope DH is taking care of you.
Well done on the 2 lb loss, that's great!

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 27/04/2013 08:26

Dreaming I'm sorry, that's a traumatic thing to go through, as well as being tough on your body. I'm not surprised you're feeling upset.

I'm impressed with your dedication this week and good work on the 2lb loss.

5:2 is very empowering once you're through the first difficult week. There are a few of us using it on the thread.

DoubleMum · 27/04/2013 08:44

OK I've got RGPargy's diet plan to follow (thankyou RGPargy!) and I'm stumped already by the flaxseed. But I shall go shopping and start it tomorrow. I feel like I need a bit of structure.

I'm so sorry for what you've been through damon, how you feel isn't strange and silly at all. Have a ((((chubby hug)))).

Try not to rush things too much diet wise. I know you want to get back on it, and I can completely understand that after what happened you feel like you need to be 'in control' of something, but you're body has been through an awful lot.

Go easy on yourself, you need time to heal. Don't start anything too drastic too soon. Thanks

Lizzylou · 27/04/2013 10:29

Go Bssh! Have park ran in anticipation of doing a Randall later Grin
Was good today, except for a macho prick banging on about how he normally completes 5km in under 20 mins.
Bloody well didn't look like when I hobbled past him halfway round Grin Bit of macho 20 something pride methinks.

Lizzylou · 27/04/2013 10:37

Oh goodness, Damon, so sorry (thread hadn't updated for me!). Just be kind to yourself, have a squeeze and Thanks
No rush lovely, but well done on refocusing this week. That is very admirable Smile

RandallPinkFloyd · 27/04/2013 10:42

You go Lizzy!

Shewhojuggles · 27/04/2013 10:46

Oh darkly you poor thing. Don't be too hard on yourself with the dieting, a miscarriage is a really tough thing to cope with under any circumstances. Well done on the 2lbs. [sends hugs]

Lizzy you are a park run trouper, need to get my bum in gear and join in. Lots of Randalling for you later! I'm off for a mini Come Dine With me evening at my friend's later, we all make one course each. God knows how I'm going to track that on MFP! Yesterday's wine/snacking was covered by some serious exercising yesterday but I was appalled when I looked at how many calories there are in bloody Kettle Chips - after I'd scoffed nibbled more than a handful Grin

Lizzylou · 27/04/2013 11:00

Oh I am no athlete, not by any stretch. But I was annoyed because being all macho and competitive is not what Park run is about. When I did my first run I hadn't ran 5km for over a year and I was so slow I almost went backwards Grin But still didn't feel intimidated by all the club runners who run it in 16mins or whatever. Everyone is so encouraging and cheer you on that last never ending uphill slope to the finish line, it feels great. It really is my favourite exercise (along with spinning, for the same reasons really), just inclusive, non judgy and NOT about 20 something boasters waving their dicks around Grin Attitudes like that are what put people off exercising.
The only person I compete against is me, bettering my own PB.

Rant over.Blush

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 27/04/2013 11:09

Lizzy that's exactly what sport and exercise is about. I need you to come and rant at my boys so they know it's not just me and DH who rant about competing with yourself Grin

RandallPinkFloyd · 27/04/2013 11:16

Blimey Lizzy, you really are scary!

Lizzylou · 27/04/2013 11:22

Grin Tea, my boys don't listen to me, perhaps we should swap and rant at each other's?
Randall, I am not really Blush
Perhaps turning 40 has empowered me??

DoubleMum · 27/04/2013 12:19

Go Lizzy!! (But I am a bit scared.)

BsshBossh · 27/04/2013 12:44

Oh darkly I'm so sorry Sad. Take it easy on yourself.

Double what's this RG diet?

DoubleMum · 27/04/2013 13:27

Bssh it's the plan the dietician made for RGPargy on here. I feel like I might be better following a plan for a couple of weeks instead of being tempted by nutella pinwheels permanently. It's lots of veg and chicken/quorn mostly for the first couple of weeks.

OP posts:
BsshBossh · 27/04/2013 14:27

Double interesting. I will have a look.

dinkydoos · 27/04/2013 16:17

darkly you have had a right rough time, go easy on yourself. Feeling tearyis very natural. Ialso do 5:2' really works for me actually, and its quite good I find, to have control in one area (diet) when everything else seems a bit shit iykwim.
lizzy flipping heck! You make me feel like a right lard arse! On the plus side, I have cleaned my paintwork and windows today, thats like hours and hours of gym isn't it? Wink

Lizzylou · 27/04/2013 17:05

See Dinky, my house is a filthy pit. Would certainly be a great workout tackling it.
We are just choosing our own personal hard Grin

BambieO · 27/04/2013 21:30

I'm sorry Damon I hope you feel better in yourself very soon x

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 27/04/2013 23:08

Long time Chiefs Smile

Sorry for the non posting (though I have been getting on mfp), RL kind of got in the way. Thankfully I can push it to one side now and get back on here with you lot! I have tried to read most of what's been going on but will no way remember it all.

damon so sorry you're going through tough times. Regardless of any circumstances, miscarriage is a shitty thing and so very hard on you emotionally. Don't be too hard on yourself, it all takes time. The very biggest of hugs for you.

Well done to all of you on your losses and exercise. I need you guys to give me a kick up the arse. I have stayed the same this week, not exercised enough and generally been feeling lazy (TOM and finding its really affecting my little regime). Been giving into the carbs a lot and it has to stop.

Still I have just over 3 weeks until my birthday (the big 40), dh is taking me to London to see a show, plus PIL have booked us onto the London Eye. Would like to shift a few more pounds before then. I'm so excited to be going away, just the two of us! Watch out city folk, here come the country bumpkins!! Is it a little sad that we have been checking out the tube so we kind of have half an idea of how to get from A to B? (You would never believe dh and I met when working in Sydney, we used to be very cosmopolitan!)

Will be back tomorrow after re starting the shred. Must do it every day, must do it every day.....

BsshBossh · 28/04/2013 07:43

SDP I live in London and still work out routes in advance on the underground and buy Timeout to plan my weekends in advance. Enjoy my home town.

And hurrah to you for getting back on the wagon (but don't be hard on yourself - it's TOM time for you).

RandallPinkFloyd · 28/04/2013 09:39

Blimey chiefs, we need another thread! I can't open this one on my phone anymore because it keeps crashing it. (It's ok though, did I mention I have an iPad?)

I hope you all made the most of your Randalling, I have not Randalled for some time now. Sad

Don't worry about the wagon sylvia it's always happy to pick up the stragglers along the way, welcome back on board!

Got the DVD yesterday, thank you lovely Lizzy. I'm scared of it, I can't lie, but if when I hit my mini-goal of "healthy" this Wednesday I shall break it out and give it my all.

Onwards and downwards Chiefs.

Lizzylou · 28/04/2013 11:26

Ooh, sdp, another one in the fab and 40 gang Grin I plan everything too.
Had a strange, ultimately boozy night, swimming will be interesting.
Knocked another 20 seconds off park run pb so the results sayGrin

DoubleMum · 28/04/2013 17:15

Been out to see Ironman 3 (DS in heaven) and had lunch in Wagamamas - must be one of the best low cal places luckily. My house is a tip though and I ought to be expending some calories cleaning it but am too knackered!

Ello no time no see
I have fallen of the MFP wagon but will be good this week with logging. Despite my fondness for dark chocolate filled croissants I am now below 10st for the first time since 2013!
This means my BMI is less than 25. I have noticed that eating more lean protien, eggs cheese and salads mean I have less of a sweet tooth. I am even going off diet Coke.

I am. FInding that NMTZ twice a week with 5kg min and gardening is paying off now that spring has finally sprung.
Hope you all getting outside!
