The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness is here

Three weeks to go!

How are you all doing?

Anyone Ubercamping this week?

Good luck. Still time to shed almost half a stone if you really stick to your knitting! Grin

Dharma, sorry to hear about your daughter. Glad she is on the mend. I am no expert but I really do think you can eat what you want in such a stressful situation. Now you are home, could you go back to Bootcamp to reset you? Lots of water and lovely LC treats.

Bessie, what a hellish day, I am so very sorry. Take care and thinking of you XXX

halfthesize · 25/02/2013 22:30

Dharma sorry to hear about your DD, glad she seems to be getting better.Smile

Good day here food wise.

Breakfast - coffee
lunch - cheese omelette
dinner - roasted belly of pork with broccoli

5 pints of water, glass of bubbly and 2 more coffees

Valdeeves · 25/02/2013 22:43

Bessie - cant believe your boss did that to you, poor you - what a frickin cow!
Dharma - how's your DD now?

Guys, missed last week as the whole household as had a sickness bug and a respiratory type virus - one after the other!
We've all been so poorly - my son gave us the sickness and my daughter the respiratory virus. My baby daughter has had both and still doesn't seem right - she just seems to be pooing constantly. I've had a few carbs as amidst all this we went to a friends for dinner and a mid week wedding. Luckily my husband and I just felt a bit sick by this point so were able to cope with a three course wedding breakfast being out in front of us!

So this week I'm über bootcamp ing and really chopping my portions.
I realised with a week of a few extra carbs that I actually craved the WOE. I think it suits me and body wants it - I could actually feel my body not coping well with the sugar rush of the wedding pudding.

So eggy breakfast for me, salad and salmon lunch, homemade lamb meatballs and courgette noodles and mushrooms fried in butter.
2 litres of water and soya milk tea.

Going to really go for it tomorrow - would like to drop a pound or two this week. BIWI - I made your tuna dish on Sunday - very very nice! Thanks xxxx
Black - happy late birthday!!!!!

Ruprekt · 25/02/2013 23:08

Phew! glad we wont be abandoned.

Sorry some of you have had bad days and hospital stays.

B - 2 hb eggs with mayo

L - cheese, ham, mushroom. 2 pints water.

D - steak with mushrooms and creamy leeks. Delicious!

100g Lidl ff yog with blueberries and raspberries. Very few though.

prettybird · 25/02/2013 23:14

So sorry Bessie - what a rotten day.

Dh and I had a lovely (very late) supper of burgers made with mince, an egg and grated Parmesan plus some spicy seasoning, served with cauliflower with melted, grilled cheese. Lovely and filling.

mumat39 · 25/02/2013 23:39

Bessie, what an awful day. I hope your grandmother is as comfortable as can be expected. Your boss sounds like a 2 faced so and so. I believe in Karma so she'll get her comeuppance at some point!

I hope you have a better day tomorrow. Sending you some big hugs (((())))

Dharma, sorry to hear your DD hasn't been well. I hope she's on the mend now. I don't really have any stressful things going on but have suddenly found myself constantly thinking of sweet stuff. It's hard as I thought I had it under control. Good luck with getting back to it, but don't be too hard on yourself. You need to look after yourself too. It's too easy to forget to when you've to a poorly little one. Big hugs to you too! (((())))

Valdeeves, hope your baby is okay and is better soon. It's hard when you have one thing after another doing the rounds. Fingers crossed you're all fighting fit again soon. (((())))

DharmaBumpkin · 26/02/2013 06:36

Thanks all, yes DD is much better. It turned out to be just a really bad virus, but she was admitted with suspected meningitis... Really high temperature & a bad rash. Luckily it was just a heat rash! We live in the arse end of nowhere in a scenic part of the UK which is about 90 mins from the nearest hospital, so they tend to keep us in for aaaaages to make sure we're not having to do long emergency trips. Which is actually quite reassuring, generally.

Awwww Bessie, you poor thing. I'm really sorry you had such a crap day.

Thanks all for the advice, I'll look at getting on back on the strict version. Bugger as I really like my berry smoothie in the morning!

halfthesize · 26/02/2013 07:02

Grin good morning all, very happy here after strict day yesterday that 3lb I had lost last week then regainedBlush has vanished.
just having a Brew then off to work, will be doing bootcamp/IF for final 3 weeks.

thekitchenfairy · 26/02/2013 07:08

Sorry to read you are having such testing times Bessie, Valdeeves and Dharma, hope you all have a better day today.

I am struggling with black coffee on ubercamp. Picked up a Cape Malay roiboos chai tea, brand is Dragonfly and widely stocked...Fully expected it to be vile but it is really lovely, mild cinnamon taste and v warming in the Siberian temperatures we have down here in the Duchy! oh and it is especially comforting with a spoonful of coconut oil a la mumat39

BIWI · 26/02/2013 08:47

Glad to hear DD is much better, Dharma!

Day 2 of Bootcamp for me.

Breakfast I forced down as I didn't fancy anything so had some smoked salmon, a piece of cheese and a coffee with a splash of cream, have drunk water since in and off....got a bottle beside me. Just having a bag of pork scratchings.....still feel well apart from a bit of a tummy ache on and off and an occasional need to dash to the loo.....am assuming this is my bowel .adjusting to the change....either that or I ate a dodgy prawn.

Lunch is goining to be mushroom omelette and some spinach.

PennyHofstadter · 26/02/2013 11:15

Morning all, to echo was everyone else has said Bessie, Valdeeves and Dharma I hope things are improving for you all.

I am going away this weekend to see DP's friend as its his 30th birthday. We are going out for a meal on Saturday night and this will most likely be to an Italian. Italian I tell you! All that pizza and pasta... yum. But not for me, I'm going to need a mantra to be able to avoid it all. Any suggestions for a mumsnet LC mantra?!

thatgirlsevil · 26/02/2013 14:53

I forgot my lunch today so I'm currently waiting in the kebab shop opposite work for a chicken tikka and grilled lamb kebab, extra salad and minus the pitta/naan. I feel naughty...do you think it would be okay to have yoghurt sauce or should I just stick with trusty mayo?

Better full in the spreadsheet later. Another lb off this week! From 139 to 122.6!!!

halfthesize · 26/02/2013 15:24

well done on loss thatgirl your lunch sounds yummySmile

JakeBullet · 26/02/2013 16:47

Off to Toby Carvery in a bit

I will not have potatoes or Yorkshire pudding, I will not have roast potatoes or Yorkshire pudding, I will not have potatoes or Yorkshire pudding, I will not have roast potatoes or Yorkshire pudding, I will not have potatoes or Yorkshire pudding, I will not have roast potatoes or Yorkshire pudding, I will not have potatoes or Yorkshire pudding, I will not have roast potatoes or Yorkshire pudding Grin

and I will have sparkling mineral water and not Pepsi Max.

Ruprekt · 26/02/2013 16:47

Bacon and hard boiled eggs for breakfast.

Steak and creamy leeks for lunch.

Cheese burgers and swede chips for dinner.

Ilisten2theradio · 26/02/2013 17:43

Bessie, Valdeeves and Dharma I hope today has been better than yesterday.
Am starving this evening. I clearly didn't eat enough at lunch ( Esentially BTL without the bread - big plate of salad, bacon, avacado and a tomato)
So off to make veggies to go with the pork roasting in the oven.
Jake the carvery should be fine. I was out for a pub lunch on Sun and just got them to swap the chips for salad on my meal - a mixed grill - so it can be done. Also have done Sunday lunch and asked for extra veggies instead of potatoes ( although I must confess to cheating and having a yorkshire but I had lost lots of weight by then and it was a "planned" cheat IYSWIM)

Lavenderhoney · 26/02/2013 17:55

Sorry to hear about the awful days and hospital - I hope things are looking up and any dc poorly are getting better. My dd is poorly again, took her to docs - no, she is fine, awake all night with pain, took her to another doc- omg terrible ear and throat infection. I am so tired I could cry. And fed up with first doc.

Plus someone drove into my stationary car whilst me and dd were in it. Idiot. We are ok but the car needs work. Plus 2 other things which will surely out me, and I would LOVE to rant about but can't.

Not hungry except for breakfast which was eggs, mushroom, bacon and cafe creme. No lunch as delayed by aforementioned idiot driver.

Dinner- duck breast, leeks and courgettes chopped and fried in butter, baked Aubergine and some pasta for the dc, which they largely ignored. They seem naturally to be going low carb:) Unless Yorkshires or roast potatoes are involved:)

ScillyCow · 26/02/2013 18:42

Marking my place!

BlackAffronted · 26/02/2013 18:51

Lavender, so sorry you have had a shit time too :( hope your DD perks up & you all get some sleep. Sounds like you ate some very tasty food though! My kids are slowly going LC too, though it is very slow. Its all progress though! I have found out that DH & the DC all absolutely love cabbage, so thats brilliant for my meal planning.

Totally back into the LC groover after my weekend. Have had 2 perfect days.

B - leftover parmesan chicken

L - leftover broc-a-leekie soup, 2 slices edam

D - spag-less bol with buttered cabbage

Im still a little hungry though, so going to make some protein pancakes as a snack later on.

Lavenderhoney · 26/02/2013 19:02

Thanks black:) yes we all love cabbage here too. And hearing dd shout " turnip! Ooh I love turnip" makes me laugh. Thinking of baldrick from black adder.

They like dipping asparagus in butter too- seeing ds chat about his day as he dips and eats - like a little gastronome:)

NoelHeadbands · 26/02/2013 19:43

Evening all

Slow cooked beef stew was on the menu for tea today. DH got home before me and decided to try make some low carb dumplings (replacing the flour with ground almonds)

Just in case anyone's tempted to try this THIS DOES NOT WORK, I REPEAT, THIS DOES NOT WORK.

Bleurgh they disintegrated, turning my lovely stew into a big almondy mess . Lord knows what he was thinking, I don't even like normal dumplings!

So I've roasted off some chicken thighs.

littlermissstan · 26/02/2013 19:50

My name is Stan and I am a sugary twat... Hideous day of stuffing my fat face with sweets and biscuits, I couldn't even tell you why.

Came home and had a big heart to heart with DP about my eating ishoos and feeling more positive, but really, what a chump I am. Dinner was shepherds pie with cheesy cauliflower purée on top and was delicious. Shame I am such a nob.

NoelHeadbands · 26/02/2013 20:01

Not as big a nob as my husband though, almond dumplings ffs
