The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness is here

Three weeks to go!

How are you all doing?

Anyone Ubercamping this week?

Good luck. Still time to shed almost half a stone if you really stick to your knitting! Grin

there tends to be an ongoing interim thread until the next formal bootcamp starts again. those who want to keep putting in their weight on the spreadsheet can do so, but I don't usually do biggest loser etc between bootcamps proper

Another pound off. Tediously slow but steady. Too stressed at work this week to contemplate Ubercamp, need to try and stay on an even keel.

Thursday afternoon I have an interview for Dream Job which would also mean going down to three days a week. I want it so much I feel sick everytime I think about it - you'd have thought I'd have lost more weight !

OMG, cold butter just sliced out of packet is so good! DH just walked in on me eating it thoughSmile. He's seriously confused about my 'diet'Grin.

Finally I see some pounds falling off, 2 down this week, and I think that makes me stone lighter when I started! Well, if I count my unofficial start weight 4 days before bootcamp as I sort of started but not really properly.

Will try to cut dairy this week, just to see what that will do to my body, I think I eat too much cream.

Have a good week everybody!!

Radishes aren't the lowest of carb veg (as far as I can make out: 5.2g per 100g) - but you wouldn't want to eat too many - but in France they often eat radishes with wee slices unsalted butter.

Memo to self - buy some radishes next time I'm out

Am down to 65kg, so down again this week. I have lost 7kg- a stone - since the start of bootcamp:)
Biwi, can't thank you enough for the threads, willi for the spreadsheet and all the other posters keeping me at it:)

Radishes - got some in my fridge and plan to eat them with butter and salt. Ds will join me, and dd will look horrified:) she can have saucisson instead for starter.

Well done all the losers - am going to plug on at normal hardcore bootcamp, not über - but I must do my calenetics as my cs tummy seems to need some help.

Favourite part of the day- breakfast with fried agg and mushrooms, with a cafe creme. Dh rolls his eyes then they narrow at my jeans falling off my hips:)

Afternoon all!

Congrats to all the losers and sts'ers and to those who lost as well - at least we're all still here!!

I've lost 0.2 lb.....not a huge victory but not a defeat either!!

I'm another one who is definitely up for interim rolling thread chat. I have never, ever, ever, stayed with = a WOE for as long as this. That in itself is an achievement and I know for a fact it's thanks to this thread!

Just want to ask....is it okay NOT to start with Bootcamp? I really want to get to grips with this new WOE first and then Bootcamp after a week or so when I feel I understand better what I am doing.

Oops, 'scuse typos, hurried typing at lunch!

What is difficult about following Bootcamp, Jake?

There are just ten rules to follow - that's all!

However, I quite agree that it's a really good idea to understand more about low carbing. Read Dr John Briffa's book "Escape the Diet Trap" and that should help.

Or, try Dr Charles Clark's book "The New High Protein Diet". Both of those will give you a good understanding of how low carb works/why eating high carb is bad for you.

Thanks for the new thread. Well done to everyone.

I'm down 3.75lbs this week. I'm really shocked to be honest, but very pleased! I did do the uber strict bootcamp last week so I can tell you it definitely works. Thank you BIWI for devising that plan. Thanks

I've got down to the weight I want but like Lavender don't feel totally happy with my shape. I can still pinch an inch around my tummy (which is obviously fat) and despite doing the 30 day shred, this last bit doesn't seem to be moving. I am now 8 stone, so really don't want to lose much more weight, but really want to get rid of that tummy.

So I think I'll keep going with low carbing but maybe add a couple of oatcakes (5 g of carbs each) a day, and keep up with the exercise and see what happens. Do you think that's a sensible plan BIWI?

Well done, QuickLookBusy Thanks

Personally I would look to increase my veg intake, possibly also a little bit of fruit, rather than suddenly add 10g carbs via grains.

Or, one oatcake and some extra veg?

Ironically I may indeed BE boot camping without realising it....largely I think I am following all the rules. Am reading Briffa's book via Kindle but it's so good I have just ordered a hard copy.

Today breakfast was scrambled eggs plus some tuna mayonnaise with chopped spring onion

Lunch has been smoked salmon with half an avocado, salad leaves and mayonnaise plus some pork scratchings which were.......odd. Not sure I am bothered with them tbh.

Dinner later is lamb chops, buttered spinach, some cauliflower and for DS and his Dad some new potatoes to go with it.

Is that okay for Bootcamp? Don't think I have done anything I shouldn't ....

Doshusallie · 25/02/2013 13:56

does anyone know if I can pack pork scratchings if going on a plane? [genuine question]

QuickLookBusy · 25/02/2013 13:58

Thanks BIWI, will add more veg and maybe a few more berries.

And good luck Rinky. We will all be thinking of you and hoping you get it!

Quick 8 stone is very light. Are you sure you want to keep losing? How tall are you?

Maybe to firm up round the belly you should focus on muscle building exercise?

Why is there a time limit on bootcamp?

Why do you say there are 3 weeks to go? ShockShock

QuickLookBusy · 25/02/2013 14:18

Novelty I'm a short arse, only 5 foot 2 Smile

Before I had the dc I was always about 7.5 stone, so for me 8 stone is ok. I am going to be watching the scales, so I don't go below that. I just want rid of this tummy. I think I might order an exercise DVD which focuses on the tummy. I've had 2 CSs also so maybe it'll never go!

wow Lavender honey great loss !

Am putting off weighing until Wednesday as that has been my usual day.. but am sure I have put weight on . Think I have been eating far too much dairy, nuts, drinking cocoa and too much wine. Got stuck in a bit of a rut anf kidding myself
So am thinking of ubercamping - seems to be great results from it.
Thanks for the menus and shopping list- really useful.
