The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness is here

Three weeks to go!

How are you all doing?

Anyone Ubercamping this week?

Good luck. Still time to shed almost half a stone if you really stick to your knitting! Grin

and well done for avoiding those sweets that is amazing bearing in mind you feel rubbish, down in the dumps and were at a conference that had nothing nice for you to eat!!! That is brilliant!

Valdeeves · 28/02/2013 22:48

Go Msrinky!!!

I wanted biscuits all day but I didn't have any

Had Salmon in butter and courgettes, shallots and spinach in butter - it was ok - I wish I'd had Blackaffronted dinner! Your food always sounds soooo good.

AuntieMaggie · 28/02/2013 22:49

I'm away on a course next week so will be eating in restaurants all week - any suggestions other than steak every night?

EMUZ · 28/02/2013 22:52

Thanks BIWI Grin

No, I'm just not hungry at all which is a minor revelation! I'm on week 5/6 and 16lbs down so far

MaryBeardfanclub · 28/02/2013 22:57

jake i will give that tea a go on your recommendation - I was a massive pepsi/diet coke addict until I read the Diet Doctor post on how the effect on insulin levels mirrors that of sugar. I always used to wonder why drinking it made me feel hungry....doh!

got my health assessment tomorrow .. hope i dont start ranting at the doc after their assessment of my lchf diet

we have been out of eggs for 2 days - forgot to get some today again, feel like a limb is missing

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 01/03/2013 00:09

Go MsRinky! Great they recognised your great dress, and I hope they also recognise your talent for the job.

Just quickly checking in as tired and going to bed.

B: eggs and mountain ham
S: cheese and salami
L: (late): chicken and kale broth
S: steak bearnaise with asparagus and broccoli and celeriac chips and far too much wine argh need to keep a lid on this...

sybilfaulty · 01/03/2013 06:49

Go Rinky! Hope you are celebrating soon. Have some St Davids in the meantime.

Well done Scilly for resisting the sweets. I am sorry you are STS. Have you measured yourself or tried on some jeans. I haven't really lost much for a while (due to excess of wine and lots of stress) but have lost inches strangely. You might get a whoosh soon. Fingers crossed.

Ginot, of course I remember we talked about your wedding too. 4 weeks. How fantastic. Lovely to be an Easter bride.

Tea - I think it's been mentioned before but there is a great tea called Sleepy Time by the CLipper tea company which is really sweet and fragrant. Really heads off sugar pangs.

I made beef stew with some tough steak last night and it was so gorgeous. I love stew. Hope soon though we get some summery weather so stew will be too hot. I always think of it as winter food and I hope spring is round the corner.

Have a great Friday St Davids. Am loving the new flowers.

sybilfaulty · 01/03/2013 06:50

Clipper tea is in lots of Sainsbury's (even the little ones often) so quite easy to get BTW.

BlackAffronted · 01/03/2013 08:06

Well done, I mean!

BlackAffronted · 01/03/2013 08:07

Saw this in the DM today - we are fat because we are slatternly cows grrrr!!!

captainmummy · 01/03/2013 08:19

Lol BlackAff - where is Slattern, anyway?

Yes it's not the profusion of sugar and sweeteners in stuff, it's because we don't black our doorsteps any more!

WillieWaggledagger · 01/03/2013 08:22

i haven't read the article

but i assume the DM will soon be running another article about the reason for men's weights increasing being that they no longer chop lots of firewood? Hmm

WillieWaggledagger · 01/03/2013 08:24

biggest losers of the week: HandsomeBird and Hazchem
biggest loser so far: DangerousMouse
biggest %age loser so far: Gloriafloria

bravo all

JakeBullet · 01/03/2013 09:27

Gosh.....said 5lbs.....its actually 6lbs Grin .

timidviper · 01/03/2013 09:33

Typical DM that the main pic with the article is an unflattering one of an overweight woman complete with glass of wine and fag! Of course that's how I spend all my days Hmm

Sadly today is my weigh-in day and I have STS but I feel a bit trimmer and am enjoying the food so hey-ho except I hate those fecking scales

Ladies, I have made a major discovery! This could revolutionise my breakfasts... 1 egg, rounded dessertspoon-ish of full fat Philly, rounded teaspoon peanut butter, blitz. Melt knob of butter in 7" frying pan, pour in the lot and cook. Makes the nearest thing I have found to an american pancake. Served mine with greek yoghurt and frozen blueberries. AMAZING!!!

timidviper · 01/03/2013 09:44

BTW Does anyone else wonder if there is something about this time of year and our physiology? Is it my imagination or are the weight losses slower generally here than on the other time of year bootcamps? I don't know if it is just me or if this feels like a battle hard fought for everyone?

I am just curious as I have often lost some weight for Xmas, tried to resume in Jan and given up as nothing was happening and I got demoralised, as did many of my friends (I'm just watching a group of them at the moment slowly dropping out of WW). Now I'm not demoralised or giving up this time but I just wondered if anyone thinks there might be more to this than meets the eye. If our bodies are affected by cold weather, general doom and gloom, etc and if we will all whoosh as one when Spring arives? Maybe that should be our new motto, Google translate tells me the latin is "Whoosh sicit unum", now all we need is a logo/crest to go with it! Grin

St Davids

Ooh look!

LavenderBriggs · 01/03/2013 10:36

Morning all. Happy St. David's Day St Davids

Just had a rather strange experience. I made some cakes for a friend. I love making cakes and up to January loved eating them. Only thing is, this time I didn't taste one scrap of cake batter. That used to be my favourite part - testing the mixture, scraping the bowl, licking the spoon. But when I got mixture on my hands - I wiped it off. Bit of an internal discussion going on..."I love scraping the bowl"...."I don't eat sugar"...."I love uncooked cake batter"...."I don't eat sugar". Feel a bit discombobulated, but in a good way.

HavingAnOffDAy · 01/03/2013 10:53

Morning all

Yet again I've half followed the thread this week. I'm trying my best during the day then I don't get chance to read back the night time posts.

Just popped on to say I've just made my first ever cream cheese pancake (for breakfast) and then made myself another straight away - they were gorgeous!

Thank you low carb, pancake recipe godesses Grin

No prizes for guessing what's for breakfast tomorrow.

Oooh, and I'm doing some pork belly for tea (first time also) - can't wait!

HavingAnOffDAy · 01/03/2013 10:58

timid I've just spotted your recipe too - peanut butter will be on my shopping list this week Grin

Something new for breakfast - ham & cheese/FF Greek Yoghurt was becoming boring!

MrsHerculePoirot · 01/03/2013 13:11

B - three eggs mashed with butter and mixed with chopped up grilled bacon.
L - grilled goats cheese, lettuce/leaves salad
One tea, half a coffee, a few pints of water.

Just been for a swim whilst DD had her lesson. Going to try and do that every week.

lavenderb well done on not licking the bowl/batter!!!

MsRinky · 01/03/2013 13:55

I got the job ! I am so happy. The head of the panel called me over this morning to grill me some more before making her decision, so it was touch and go, and I was convinced I'd blown it, but then she called an hour later to offer me the post.
