The Spreadsheet of Fabulousness is here

Three weeks to go!

How are you all doing?

Anyone Ubercamping this week?

Good luck. Still time to shed almost half a stone if you really stick to your knitting! Grin

Good luck mrsrinky, congrats to hazchem and good luck to anyone else job interviewing and I think from my quick scan of the posts there is a wedding which is in danger- hope your dd gets her exam moved:)

A day of bits of cheese, tons of water and thankfully home at last for lovely steaks, green beans, mushrooms and roasted Aubergine and carrots for the dc. Did them some moussline potatoe which they normally love but again they didn't really bother:)

I am so tired I am going to get some sleep as soon as they get to bed. Fingers crossed dd sleeps all night and ds doesn't wake up with screaming nightmares which he has done for the last two days. He sobs in his sleep and it's awful, I just have to sit and soothe him whilst willing dd not to wake in the other room.

He seems to be getting stressed about a situation he will be in soon- a school play- and although he doesn't have to do it, he has really upset himself. No idea what to do:(

WillieWaggledagger · 28/02/2013 15:10

yogi tea aztec choco spice is nice, smells cinnamon/chocolate and christmassy and although it tastes mostly of hot water it has a sweetish aftertaste (possibly liquorice though so perhaps not suitable if you've had problems with that)

littlermissstan · 28/02/2013 15:35

Oooh, hazchem, how exciting! Though I think Ginot's wedding is about the same time so you shall be competing brides :) I have six weeks til my wedding dress fitting so NO EXCUSES from now on. Sat in the office currently snacking on ham, looks weird to my colleagues I am sure but it is not biscuits, so I win.

EMUZ · 28/02/2013 16:36

Any teapigs tea! They are all lovely

EMUZ · 28/02/2013 16:40

BIWI (slightly cheeky question as not properly on bootcamp) I pretty much eat bootcamp (Paleo/John briffa)
What do you do if you aren't hungry?
I had 2 scrambled eggs with butter this am, half a chicken breast and buttered broccoli/cabbage for lunch and a small handful cashews this afternoon. I'm finding I can't eat tea at all, I'm just not hungry
And my PT is nagging me to eat more Blush and I'm full!!

BlackAffronted · 28/02/2013 16:47

mumat39, I love berry teas! I have raspberry, cranberry & strawberry. I got my cherry & cinnamon tea in Morrisons, its by Twinnings.

Valdeeves · 28/02/2013 17:02

Lavender and Bessie - thanks and what is MFP??
I'm lonely because I moved far away from my home of ten years and even further from family a year ago. Worked really hard and have a small group of wonderful friends so am lucky. Just miss quite a few old friends and the large community I had. It'll all fall into place with time and I need to count my blessings as Bing Crosby said!
Had eggs for breakfast and pâté for lunch.
MsRinky - what's the latest???

MsRinky · 28/02/2013 17:27

Hello. I won't know until tomorrow I'm afraid.

It was very nerveracking but went okay and I didn't totally show myself up, which is good because my current boss was on the panel, so it's good that I'm not too embarassed to stay in my old job if I don't get the new one!

Have had swathes of compliments all day about my dress. Although I've lost just shy of 4 stone over the last 11 months, there were clearly people who see me every day at work who have only just noticed today, as people have been gaping at me open mouthed all day... I think in a good way.

Think I should wear dresses and heels more often, I feel like a less bust and much plained Joan Holloway.

Thanks for all the good luck wishes - I felt the might of Mumsnet behind me !

timidviper · 28/02/2013 17:38

Twinings make Black teas with Lavender or Rose which I rather like but I love anything florally scenty

BIWI · 28/02/2013 18:02

EMUZ - welcome! If you've been doing low carbing for a while, then it's ok to miss the odd meal if you're not hungry. Just don't let yourself get so hungry that you end up falling face first into the biscuit tin!

Doshusallie · 28/02/2013 18:14

well done Mrs Rinky, good luck for the result!

Congratulations Hazchem!!

I need to make a "finish what's in the fridge" tea for the boys tomorrow night. What would you do with:

salmon fillets or bacon or smoked sausage
broccolli
leeks
courgettes
cream or cream cheese
cauliflower
??

obviously don't have to include everything!

littlermissstan · 28/02/2013 18:58

I would have pan fried salmon on cauliflower purée with creamed leeks and courgettes. I am impressed with your 'end of fridge' selection, mine is a whole lot worse!!

spilttheteaagain · 28/02/2013 19:16

Dosh I would make courgette pasta or spaghetti, and have it with either salmon broccoli and leeks in a creamy sauce or bacon broccoli and leeks in a creamy sauce.

Well done msrinky it's a lovely dress, glad it made you feel so good and fingers crossed for the job! When do you hear?

I ran the gauntlet of free delicious hm chocolate brownies a playgroup today. Aaagh! It was a bit torturous and I thought I couldn't do it as I saw everyone scarfing them down with looks of bliss. Then I went over to get a cup of tea and look at them. And I realised. It's ok. I know what a chocolate brownie tastes like and this is not the last opportunity of my life to have one. So I didn't have one. Do I get a star please?!

jake you are doiing so well, this first week is haaard. Keep going, you know it makes sense! I kept telling myself, look if I crack now it means the last 2, 3, 4 days of real struggle and not giving in, is wasted and I have to start again. It helped me get through it.

B: Scrambled eggs with spring onions, chilli, chorizo & cheese. Greek yog with one strawberry and a few almonds
L: Salad of spinach, lettuce, avocado, radish, cherry toms, chorizo oil dressing, smoked trout. half a nectarine but it's ok as I'm in maintenance and they were reduced so couldn't not get them and DD had eaten the other half so it seemed wrong to waste it
D: Stirfried veg, egg fried cauli rice, steak. Greek yog.

GinotPrigio · 28/02/2013 19:18

Hazchem - I'm getting married 4 weeks on Saturday. We can get each other through the next few weeks low carb! Trying to resist the urge to reach for the wine when wedding stress (ie interfering family) rears its ugly head!!

thenightsky · 28/02/2013 19:24

And I realised. It's ok. I know what a chocolatebrownie tastes like and this is not the last opportunity of my life to have one

I must remember this quote! It could get me through some difficult moments.

JakeBullet · 28/02/2013 19:33

Okaaaay. ....Liquorice and Peppermint tea......I am going in, will let you all know how it goes Wink .

JakeBullet · 28/02/2013 19:36

....and spilt, that chocolate brownie comment was INSPIRING. Going to remember it next time I am tempted to indulge.

BlackAffronted · 28/02/2013 19:48

Just had a lovely dinner of braised cabbage, roast pork (so lots of crackling!) and roast neep. Feeling tired but going to watch Child Of Our Time before heading to bed.

JakeBullet · 28/02/2013 19:49

Liquorice and Peppermint tea is bloody gorgeous. A sweet hit and a worthy replacement for diet coke.Grin

NoelHeadbands · 28/02/2013 20:30

Evening all, hope everyone is well

B - bacon and eggs
L - broccoli soup and pot of cheese
T - leek and pepper cheese omelette with salad

AND ... About 6 fruit pastilles Blush. A fuckit moment after a shitty day at work- they've announced 'restructuring' (aka redundancies Sad) poor excuse really, they didn't exactly make me feel better.

Now wine, that would make me feel better....

Doshusallie · 28/02/2013 20:39

2 boiled eggs
Baby gem lettuce "sandwiches" with coleslaw and Gorgonzola, and some cucumber
3 pork belly strips (dh ate 5!!!!!) with cream cheese mushrooms, leeks and courgettes
Pork scratchings, 2 teaspoons of PB, stick of celery with a slice of ham and mayo, boiled egg, 1.5 rum and diet cokes.

JakeBullet · 28/02/2013 20:41

Mmm....might make some egg mayonnaise tomorrow . Love the stuff....can have it with salad.

spilttheteaagain · 28/02/2013 21:34

Oh Noel that is a shitter Sad When will you find out if it's you?

Get me, I wrote somthing INSPIRING Grin

ScillyCow · 28/02/2013 21:49

Bleurgh. Difficult day.

Have got as far as opening the biscuit tin and sniffing the chocolate digestives within but haven't succumbed.

Breakfast: Smoked salmon and mozzarella
Lunch (at a conference) the inside of a 1/4 of a cheese sarnie. some celery sticks :(
Dinner: Salmon and lettuce.

Feeling bleurgh. Have nasty head cold/sinus thing. Have PUT ON 2 lbs but have been really good. Am having Lemsip 3 x (ish) a day (no honey added, obviously!). COuld that be throwing my loss off course? THere were SWEETS in the middle of the table ALL DAY I stared at them but resisted. Then got home, weighed and had PUT ON!!!!!!!

BIWI, I promise I'm not cheating, but I have STS for 2 weeks, and now put on
Feeling sorry for myself :(

MrsHerculePoirot · 28/02/2013 22:33

ScilllyCow did you weigh at the end of the day when you got home? You will always more in the evening that the monring. My weigh can flutuate by up to 5/6lbs from a early morning naked weigh to a post dinner, fully clothed weigh...

You aren't well that will be making your body think about fighting that first, the lemsip might not help, I never take it as either it is full or sugar or crap sugar free things I think so they might just be keeping you at STS. It is only two weeks.

Also, you haven't eaten enough I don't think looking at today, you need to eat more, more fat definitely, more vegetables (a few celery sticks and some lettuce doesn't sound very much). Green veg best, the darker the better I reckon and how are you doing on thewater?

says she that has also STS for weeks but hasn't actually been fully following the rules so clearly that is why
