Sorry to be a bit late this morning - no doubt you're all chomping at the bit to declare all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I relaise I put the wrong weight in last week (incorrect conversion from kg to lb), so initially when I put in today's weight it looked like I had gained!! But when I recalculated correctly it turns out I have lost 1.1lb. Not as much as I would have hoped but going in the right direction.

Are the celeriac chips good with a fried egg?

Report
WillieWaggledagger · 14/01/2013 12:58

celeriac chips would be excellent with fried egg i reckon

princess, i don't bother to par boil at all, just straight into the roasting pan with olive oil. they really are delicious, slightly different texture to potato chips, a bit chewier, but really lovely

Can I join? Did a low-carbing thread with BIWI about two years ago and lost about 3 stone (was only on the thread for the last stone though - was the one with SuperSal and Custy).

Cannot keep up with these threads at all, they move so quickly - have been doing since last Monday but haven't got around to posting as I've been trying to read it all (except fell off alcohol wagon at weekend - foodie Mother staying for birthday treat and big family supper - a planned fall, but went waaay too far and had the most hideous hangover yesterday - god low-carbing hangovers are spectacularly awful - a good reminder why not to do it!

Have lost about three and a half pounds despite the weekend.

Have about ten pounds to lose - never quite got to goal weight last time and then went to America driving coast to coast and put on half a stone in three weeks because the food was so rubbish.

Took up running last year and did two 10Ks and a half-marathon assuming that would do it but didn't lost a single pound as I was so hungry all the time, and it's impossible to run longer distances without eating some carbs (don't worry though Piste - 10K is fine)(in fact, I seem to remember it was running that stopped BIWI low-carbing on our last thread).

So, I'm going back to low-carbing and light exercise - that works much better for me.

Welcome, Choos! All manner of things stopped me low carbing in those days - what's kept me focused this time was not only the amount of weight that I piled on, but the reading that I have been doing about it. Understanding that carbs are so deleterious to our health, as well as weight, really helped me to commit properly to it. Hence the two stone loss so far!

Celeriac chips - I must be doing something wrong. I;ve tried roasting, i;ve tried frying- they always come out soggy. Taste ok tho.

Just checking in. I have put my weight on the spreadsheet and it says I have lost all my body wieght since last week. I didn't want to fiddle with the formulas so would someone please do it for me. Thanks
So I have lost 5Lb which is great. I feel a lot less bloated than I did this time last week.

Off to peruse the fridge for lunch now.

Hi everyone, when I went to enter my weight this morning realised I'd also cocked up last weeks Blush Anyhoo, had a great week, have gone from 9 stone 13 to 9 stone 8, losing half of my Xmas gain in a week!

Could maybe have been a bit more but have been on boot camp ultra light since Friday as I got my BFP! (and know generally ketosis is not recommended in pregnancy)
Can I still lurk about, even if I do scran the odd chickpea here or there?

Ha ha, thanks Slatternly. Am at a press thingy for a client and there's loads of fizz floating about. I have sneaked off for a salad and some more water. The way I see it, it's just a week, and will be more than making up for it as have one 30th, one 40th and two weddings to attend in February! Actually, BIWI, any top tips to keep me on track for a month of occasions??

Back again and survived a weekend of temptation. Not weighing at home (will do in a month at dr surgery) but snugly fitting clothes from Christmas are definitely looser. Loving the controlled appetite effects. Will power doesn't seem like a gutting sacrifice when im enjoying fried eggs in butter.Grin

3lb off since Thursday! I'll weigh in on a Monday from now on, i started last Tue and didn't weigh until Thu. so I reckon I've lost a bit more than 3 since starting! I'm going to try and ditch caffeine this week and minimal dairy. Can't give up the Greek yogurt!
