Last one filled up really quickly, so here is a brand, spanking and distinctly thinner thread for you to fill up.

OP posts:
NoveltySlippers · 13/01/2013 21:31

Thanks Kerry

Doshu Yes - the crime egg was about as non-low carb as you can get! Smile

lastyears - I should deffo put IPD next on my reading list.

slatternly - You asked upthread about my meal plans for next week - have just gone through the recipe thread and picked out four meals, ordered online for first time, and feeling much more positive!

MrsHP I haven't got anything special planned this week, but planning my meals has strangely been comforting and is doing something positive I feel. (Now watching Mr Selfridge, but is not quite filling Downton-shaped hole! Smile)

anewdispensation · 13/01/2013 21:34

any low carb shin of beef recipes anyone? have some in the freezer which I can cook in the slow cooker

NoveltySlippers · 13/01/2013 21:36

And Timid Thanks for the self-talk suggestion - such a good idea! Next time I'm faced with the Easter chocs aisle, I've got my pep talk prepared Smile

Teddy You look fab!

NoelHeadbands · 13/01/2013 21:39

((( hugs ))) for everyone who's had a shitty old day.

Won't it be good though, when we're all miserable yes, but thin

NoveltySlippers · 13/01/2013 21:40

Anew I think BIWI did a shin of beef recipe the other day..

NoveltySlippers · 13/01/2013 21:40

Haha definitely Noel Grin

anewdispensation · 13/01/2013 22:00

starfish sorry to hear you have had a tough day. If it helps, my 4 year old dd's behaviour has been pretty revolting on and off since Christmas. She told me she hates me this evening, because I made her go upstairs to have a bath. Charming.

novelty I hope you are feeling better.

NoveltySlippers · 13/01/2013 22:28

Thanks Bessie. Sorry you've had a bad day too. And you Starfish

Bessie123 · 13/01/2013 22:59

starfish I hope my post to you doesn't sound trite. I just meant that 4 year old girls (well, mine anyway) can be badly behaved just because it's not easy being 4.

halfthesize · 13/01/2013 23:23

novelty really hope you are feeling better Thanks

Valdeeves · 13/01/2013 23:29

Novelty - sorry to hear you are having a tough time.
Slatternly - are you feeling any better?

Thanks for the tip about soya milk.

No brekkie, no time
Lunch: Nando's plain chicken, Mediterranean salad and olives (my husband could hardly move as he had to eat all the chips and the desert out three year old rejected - never call a cake a carrot cake in front of a toddler.
Tea: lamb mince, roasted aubergines, celeriac chips - amazing.

Feeling good but my scales have broken so not sure if I can myself weighed tomorrow.
Good luck with that everyone xxx

Valdeeves · 13/01/2013 23:30

By the way Starfish my child really lost it after we moved to our current home. He's been hard work for ages so I can imagine how you are feeling a little?

skandi1 · 13/01/2013 23:50

I don't want bread , pasta, rice, cake, biscuits or sweets.

I WANT CHOC!!! Lovely delicious choc. Pref green and blacks almond or milk. And a milky cup of hot choc to drink. Ooooohhhh. It would be so lovely.

Argh. Why does it always come to choc. There is no low carb substitute and my choc craving won't be subdued with egg, chicken or celeriac chips. Meh.

mumat39 · 14/01/2013 00:03

Good luck for the weigh in tomorrow everyone!

hazchem · 14/01/2013 03:40

I know there will a new thread very shortly but...
I can button my shirt up! Grin Obviously loosing almost 4 pounds is great but the fact I can button up my favorite cotton shirt is fantastic.

Feeling very healthy and happy at the moment.

That's it really. Oh and it rained yesterday which is heavenly as we had to start bucking water onto the garden to save the plants and it looks like we will have at least 4 days without the need to prepare to evacuate. ( I'd forgotten how stressful Australian summer can be).

Hoping you all have fab losses in the morning.

Brianstorm · 14/01/2013 06:28

Haven't been updating as this thread(s) has been far too time consuming to read never mind post Wink but I have 2 reasons to continue this WOE

  1. I have lost 5 lbs in a week!!
  2. I cleared out my wardrobe yesterday and tried on some of my pre-pregnancy clothes and they fitted!!!

Sod the meat costs. I'm still £s up with all these new clothes. Thank you, thank you, thank you BIWI for ever starting this Grin

ScillyCow · 14/01/2013 06:34

sybilfaulty · 14/01/2013 06:34

Morning losers, 3lbs off for me so that's my holiday weight gone. Hurray! I tried to enter it on the spreadsheet but it wouldn't let me. Boo! I'll try later.

Good luck to veryone weighing today. Am expecting some FAB losses.

Snowing here so am going to have to get kids up quickly and walk to breakfast club then sprint to the station and see if there are any trains. I bloody hate snow.

WillieWaggledagger · 14/01/2013 07:24

anewdispensation i do beef bourguignon (often switch leeks/shallots for pearl onions and it's fine) and beef curry (again with the onion substitutes) - both delicious

sorry to those who have had difficult weekends i hope things improve x

thekitchenfairy · 14/01/2013 07:24
