I can't even bring myself to type in my weight because I am so ashamed :(

I need to lose 3.5 stone before the end of May (going on holiday with a thin friend) I am doing My Fitness Pal (calorie counting) and I am going to do 1200 calories a day. It's brutal I know but then so was the reading on my scales this morning.

Effing Nora :(

chub No!!!!!! Today is a fresh start, shred before slimming world!

noddy half the croissant, then half it again. Then eat that. Then use the rest as tiny missiles to throw at silly DH.

winefairy · 09/01/2013 10:40

GetOrf You are my lard twin. I was 10st 7lb this morning too although only after much repositioning of scales.

How did this happen??

Worse still, I have just received news through the dreaded facebook that there is a huge school reunion in on 1st June. I am old. Very, very old. I have not seen these people for decades. I am old and fat and yet if I don't go everyone will guess it's because I've not worn well.

nilbyname · 09/01/2013 10:53

june 1st is a long ways away, you can do it!

momb · 09/01/2013 10:54

So, Monday went well, Tuesday went well until about 7.30, when I sat down to a sensible nutritious dinner and a small glass of wine, all within my calorie allowance and very pleased with myself.....cut to three hours later where I've had two more small glasses of wine and best part of a box of raspberry butter swirl biscuits (which are about a million calories each). FFS! I can't even do two flipping days!!!
I don't even like biscuits that much. If I was going to cheat I'd much rather have had a bigger dinner. Sad Kick me please.

momb · 09/01/2013 10:55

I'm going to buy the Shred Sad. DP has several night shifts over the next few weeks so I can do it without horrifying him !

PoohBearsHole · 09/01/2013 10:56

winefairy - don't lose too much if you are old as you will just look older Wink

runs pretending to go to a meeting but actually to hide behihnd the desk incase buns are thrown!

Chubfuddler · 09/01/2013 10:56

Winefairy you could lose shed loads of weight by June. That's over four months away. At 1lb a week you would lose over a stone and you know you could lose more than that.

Chubfuddler · 09/01/2013 11:00

Nilbyname you don't need to lose weight. But you do need to lose body fat and gain muscle. Then you'll be healthier and appear slimmer, as muscle is denser than fat.

PinkyCheesy · 09/01/2013 11:01

wine fairy I also have reunion in June after 25 yrs away! and I have paid already! We must stick to this and see it through to the gorgeous thin well-dressed finish Smile

CarriedAwayAnnie · 09/01/2013 11:04

I cannot move.

The Shred has destroyed me.

I weighed myself this morning and I weigh 1lb less than yesterday. Normally I weigh weekly so only seeing 1lb off feels quite disappointing. May go back to weekly weighing.

I really need to do The Shred again this morning. But I can't move. And I hurt. How on earth am I going to do it?

saintmerryweather · 09/01/2013 11:05

I know i havent done enough exercise to deserve this or lost enough weight but im looking down at myself and i cant see the top bit of my stomach below my (smallish) boobs. I dont remember this happening before...maybe my fat is melting? [hopeful]

Lizzylou · 09/01/2013 11:05

Nilby, completely agree with Chub.
You can get your % down relatively quickly and easily with regular exercise.
The shred is fab at toning up and burning fat.

CarriedAwayAnnie · 09/01/2013 11:06

... and making you hurt

winefairy · 09/01/2013 11:22

Pinky Deal! A Pinky promise even Grin

The Shred does get easier quite quickly. First time I did it I was half dead by the end and had to lie down for an hour. Now I can do level one without breaking into a sweat. And that isn't a stealth boast, honest! It really does improve your fitness level.

Still hate level two though. Makes me shout bad words at Jillian.

Notfootball · 09/01/2013 11:48

I find that turning Jillian down and turning my own tunes up stops me from throwing my weights through the TV at Jillian.
Carriedaway go on, get on it. I shredded at 6:30 this morning, not a good idea when one has zumba'ed (tiresome woman) just 12 hours before. A rurally thought I was going to vom.

CarriedAwayAnnie · 09/01/2013 11:57

I've done it. She is an evil woman. An evil shouty woman.

I dread to think what state I'm going to be in tomorrow.

Now I need to somehow get up the stairs for a shower ..

superbaghag · 09/01/2013 12:04

I'm a long time lurker and have been reading this thread since it started so thought i'd say hi.

I have been dieting since Jan 1st and have lost 2lbs so far. Doesn't seem like a lot.

I use MFP and have done for a while (when I have needed to drop a few pounds). Once at a goal weight I do 5-2 fasting which seems to keep me steady. I need to lose 1 stone. Hoping to do half this month and half next month but think with just a 2lbs loss in week 1 it's going to take longer.

Every time I've almost caved and hit the quality street tin I have come on to this thread and caught up with you ladies. I do find it really tough that husband who weighs nothing and can eat what he likes and kids wander around munching permanently!

Thank you for being here.

nilbyname · 09/01/2013 12:26

chuB Thanks that is interesting, I do need to exercise more. I do very little really. Poory ankle at the mo, but intend on shredding and gyming next week.

GetOrf · 09/01/2013 12:28

When I was lowcarbing I found some great sites - one a bmi one with an animated figure so you could see how much of a chief you looked, and another one with a bodyfat percentage method used byl the us navy. I will find the links and put em on here.

TigerFeet · 09/01/2013 12:48

Deeaay three in the chief lardarse house, and TigerFeet is feeling better and is loving bacon omelettes for breakfast on the low carb plan.

I mostly impressed with my diet coke abstinence, I've stopped craving it already, there's a half finished bottle in the fridge and it's no longer calling me the cake otoh, well that's different

nilby I've been drinking cold fizzy water by the gallon, seems to have done the trick, although I'm not going to be caffeine withdrawish today as I've had a couple of mugs of lovely lovely black coffee.

hevak · 09/01/2013 13:05

Well, I've just calculated my BMR (thanks to google) which is just over 1500 calories a day. Apparently. So I've increased my goal on MFP to 1500 a day and I should lose 0.6 of a pound per week based on my old weight on MFP so I'm hoping to lose a bit more than that.

Thanks to ItsAll who gave an interesting link on pg 26 about BMR! Smile

hevak · 09/01/2013 13:06

Oh, diet coke...
Chocolate

Lizzylou · 09/01/2013 13:11

Superhagbag, my DH just "cuts down" ie. few less chips and can lose 1/2 stone in a week Angry

Tiger, well done you.

I have been most virtuous and ordered a beef salad and not a bacon brie and cranberry panini for a work meeting tomorrow lunchtime.

noddyholder · 09/01/2013 13:15

My dp is 52 still has a six pack and if he has a couple of busy work days 6lbs gone easily Envy

Chubfuddler · 09/01/2013 13:22

I want a big baguette.

I am having soup.
