I can't even bring myself to type in my weight because I am so ashamed :(

I need to lose 3.5 stone before the end of May (going on holiday with a thin friend) I am doing My Fitness Pal (calorie counting) and I am going to do 1200 calories a day. It's brutal I know but then so was the reading on my scales this morning.

Effing Nora :(

Well done Sassy. Me too.
I've got the Dominos email too (it can't possibly be because we had Dominos last week ...)

SPBInDisguise · 08/01/2013 17:08

I brought Christmas cake into work. The marzipan and icing are calling me

travellingwilbury · 08/01/2013 17:08

Add me add me , needy sod that I am

Shit I have forgotten who I am ! Idiot

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 08/01/2013 17:09

I brought my marking home tonight instead of doing it in school because someone bastard had put cake, biscuits and sweets in the staffroom and at 4pm my willpower seems to be at an all time low.

MaureenShit · 08/01/2013 17:09

Good gal. Drink tea

MaureenShit · 08/01/2013 17:11

I am scary. I dont get doing a diet and cheating. There's just no point. It's like walking up a down escalator.

PinkyCheesy · 08/01/2013 17:11

This is so great Smile

I really feel like I might manage to stick at this diet with so much support from you ladies. Am loving MFP, amazing how much it will do considering its a free app. I have it on iphone and tablet so I can update on the go. very impressed with the scanner and the facility for putting in a whole recipe (used that for my homemade bolognese). Also very illuminating to get the nutritional breakdown...I hadn't realized how little calcium and Vit D I was getting.

great advice from Shiny about calorie targets, thanks for that. And the recipes look good. I am looking forward to having soup at lunch again. I make chunky ham soup (ham hock, potato, carrot, pearl barley, peas, onions, and ham stock) and take a soup flask out with me sometimes if I'm out at midday and might get tempted by greggs supermarket sarnies Grin

Keep up the good work chiefs!

And dominos ? EW vile hydrogenated veg fat and corn oil

MaureenShit · 08/01/2013 17:12

At body pump yesterday when I lunged I could rest some flab on my upper leg I think.

Looked vile in mirror.

noddyholder · 08/01/2013 17:12

What is the following for? To snoop?

MaureenShit · 08/01/2013 17:13

Agree mfp good. Also to put in in the am what you plan to eat.

travellingwilbury · 08/01/2013 17:13

Neverthisfatagain

Obviously not as catchy as I thought .

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 08/01/2013 17:14

Going back into work clothes this week (as oppose to slobbing around in leggings) has made me so aware of my stomach. I actually feel uncomfortable in my own skin.
Maureen, you're right. I'm an all or nothing person - if I'm going to lose weight I'll stick to it otherwise you are just wasting your own time by doing it for a few days and then giving up - all of the pain, none of the reward

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan · 08/01/2013 17:14

Yes, I am CarbyClaire on MFP.

RIGHT.

Determined to start tomorrow. Stone by valentine's day (fuck knows why then, am single)

BaublesAndCuntingCarolSingers · 08/01/2013 17:15

I like thefollowing for a few reasons;

  1. It shames you into not being a fat cnut (only if you are being honest and logging EVERYTHING will this work though!)
  1. Getting ideas for eating.
  1. Giving pointers to friends i.e "YOU'VE EATEN CARBS ALL DAY, ERIC BRISTOW. PACK IT IN"

That type of thing.

"And dominos ? EW vile hydrogenated veg fat and corn oil"

I agree. Pizza Express is so much better. Wink

Like giving up smoking and relapsing.

I lost a stone last spring. Have watched like a hawk all year. Hence only 4 lbs or so to lose from Xmas blow out.

Keep weighing all year.

MaureenShit · 08/01/2013 17:16

Lol at bristow

GetorfsaMotherfuckingMorrisMan · 08/01/2013 17:17

Actually today has been all right. Have only eaten 300 cals (most of which tuc biscuits). Soup and steak and salad for dinner and 30 lengths.

noddyholder · 08/01/2013 17:17

You do have to watch like a hawk FOREVER.I have been waiting for it to become a natural thing like some people claim It never has and at 47 is even more effort

spamm · 08/01/2013 17:18

I put this on MFP - but wanted to share it here too. It helps me to see what motivates me - but it also upsets me.

The biggest two things for me are: I hate having photos taken with my DS and I know that is wrong, I want photos of us together! and my diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes, of course. It is manageable with diet and very low level medications, but what about my future health? I am scared of losing my sight, my toes, etc... and I do not want to put my family through that!

I am also angry about all the time I have wasted - years and years of being fat and waiting until it is far more difficult to lose weight, as I am older and closer to menopause, etc... I was a wonderful size 14 when I got married, but wasted it for FOOD. Urgggghhhhh!

spamm · 08/01/2013 17:19

weird cross post with Noddy there!

MaureenShit · 08/01/2013 17:19

I also liked putting my hand on my waist. Not flab.

Agree it's hard work. Someone said something kind to me about my newly slim figure and I found myself saying "I'VE STARVED for this". Prob a little too ferociously. ;)

MaureenShit · 08/01/2013 17:20

Yes. When looking at the tempting food imagine yourself on the scakes weighing less.

Nothing tastes ...

shine0ncrazydiamond · 08/01/2013 17:21

Yes, Maureen. I am 3lbs over what I usually am but find that to stay within a few pounds of my target of 9 stone is bloody hard work and a constant battle. Unfortunately if you allow 5 or 6lbs to become a stone etc etc it becomes a real slog to get it back off

noddyholder · 08/01/2013 17:21

I used to starve when younger but can't now! Was teeny though and probably unnecessary looking back.
