Does anyone know the carb value of Linda Mc Cartney veg sausages? They are the only vege ones i can get here. Am struggling with ideas as seem to be eating a ton of dairy.
B yoghurt
s celery with philadelphia
L to be decided prob salad or a yoghurt not feeling so hungry

D Cream of veg soup - recipe from here and salad
need to get more organised and prepare in advance i think. Have a shopping list prepared and going to try to find iceberg lettuce here and make sandwiches

TooImmatureMincePies · 05/01/2013 07:52

Weighed in this morning at 10 stone 0.5. Sad That's 6lbs on since early Dec. Stupid me! Still, it's all starting today - new WOE and Shredding. Here goes!

hurricanewyn · 05/01/2013 07:57

Frenchfries - 8.3g of carbs per 100g

hurricanewyn · 05/01/2013 08:00

Tooimmature - I'm not weighing till Monday, to give myself a chance to undo some of the damage, but I'm dreading it

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/01/2013 08:06

Morning lovelies

My headache has gone at a last, huzzah!

Hopefully not too much damage was done last night with Chinese nosh, was difficult going out with friends like that and worrying about what to eat, but I had duck in lettuce wraps and a few bean sprouts. Missed the gin though.

Not weighing in either until Monday, and even then I'm not sure I shall want to share it!

halfthesize · 05/01/2013 08:16

well done pisteWink
I've woken up with stinking headache and cold, the joys!
weighed myself and its bad I am 9st 5lbs up 9lbs from my lowest in December. I am Angry Blush with myself, because honestly the carbs were not that good..... enjoyed the alcohol though, perhaps a little too muchHmm

frenchfries22 · 05/01/2013 08:18

Thank you hurricanewyn

hazchem · 05/01/2013 08:27

CA some one please add me. Hazchem to the list on phone at moment and computer is hard to get due to solar power. I'm very excited about starting proper on Monday.

ScillyCow · 05/01/2013 08:30

HOORAY!!!

Am 4 lbs down from my starting weight (probably more, because I didn't dare weigh myself until day 3). Now on Day 11.

Feeling SO much better. A little bit sick of eggs (already!) but having yog for breakfast today as a change.

Am starting SHred tonight.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/01/2013 08:31

Oooo the shred, good luck! I found her two helpers a bit weird and plastic, but I did it all and felt a lot better for it.

BIWIshYouAMerryChristmas · 05/01/2013 08:55

Bandersnatch - welcome! Just be prepared for the fact that you might feel pretty shit for the first 2-3 days, which may make serious training difficult for you. It might be a good idea not to plan too much by way of exercise in the first week. Once you get through the first couple of weeks your body will be fat-burning rather than carb-burning, and then you should be able to revert to a more intensive training regime.

Bessie - well done on resisting the sugar! It will definitely sabotage you, whereas cheese is very much less likely to.

FrenchFries - depends which Linda McCartney sausages you're talking about. The Original sausages are 4.1g carbs per sausage, which is quite high.

Rooobs · 05/01/2013 08:57

Morning! Day 4 and 2lbs down YAY! Grin

See you later LOSERS!!

BIWIshYouAMerryChristmas · 05/01/2013 09:10

See! Brilliant.

And I'm liking Olivia's work - she snuck on to the last thread and used her MN privileges to link to this thread!

cocolepew · 05/01/2013 09:19

Morning, well done losers.

I havent lost any more , I have been good but even my fingers feel puffy again. I have ben having double cream but will knock it on the head. I feel a bit snotty (sorry!) and think it is possibly this.

I was told it can take a year yo lose the fluid and swelling form my hysterectomy operation. do you think it (fluid) could still be there even if I low carb? It might not all be diet related?

MulledwineGless · 05/01/2013 09:36

Morning all- well done to those who have lost already,
I'm a daily weigher to keep on track but if you do this you should use your weekly average to plot weight loss. And remember to measure!

Cocolepew- do you have issues with dairy? I can't answer your question but found this low carb forum with this thread they may answer question better?

Stylelostinlabour · 05/01/2013 09:38

Morning lovely losers

Starting day 5 and hopped onto the scales and I'm 5lb down even with TOTM, even did a little dance round the bathroom.

DH has just cooked me a lovely breakfast he's being really supportive!

2 x poached eggs
1 x large flat mushroom with a bit of butter
2 x rashes of bacon
1 x mug of tea
1 x pint of water

Picked up some ketostix yesterday just to check out of curiosity really and it said a trace (about 3rd option on label). Does these mean full or part ketose

BIWIshYouAMerryChristmas · 05/01/2013 09:39

The other thing to do, which was something we used to on the Carblife forum, if you're weighing daily, is to take the lowest weight you achieve during the week and put that down as your weight for the week. Psychologically it makes it easier to deal with the seemingly-random gains that happen day-by-day.

coco - I don't know enough to be able to comment on that, sadly. But if you're snotty, it would suggest that dairy might be an issue for you. (Unless you just have a cold, of course!)

halfthesize · 05/01/2013 09:44

Well done style

Rooobs · 05/01/2013 09:46

ooh I forgot I have some of those pee sticks somewhere (from when I was pregnant and watching for pre-eclampsia).

I always found it quite satisfying seeing ketones show up (midwife was less impressed though!).
