I know Im quite sure that the novelty will wear off for me about the second day into new job!

Hulababy · 15/01/2004 09:35

Another loss this week for me I can feel this trousers getting a bit looser.

I have 3 weeks until the ball. Hope I can keep losing until then at least. I so want a new dress; have to start looking soon!

Well done Becca!

codswallop · 15/01/2004 10:18

Not sure yet. I know Next has nothing at all this year. May try Debenhams, John Lewis and House of Frazer this weekend and see what they have got in. Trouble is I am only 5 foot so have to get a petitie if I can. Think I want it long too and not too bright.

Ball is here in Sheffield at the Cutler's Hall. It's the Law Society ball which we go to each year. Very expensive this year though. Would you believe it's £45.50 a ticket! Glad DH's firm pays for his ticket.

150percent · 15/01/2004 10:27

Might be too short notice for this weekend but Debenhams and John Lewis have personal shopper services which I have found to be heaven-sent as I am also vertically challenged. Not only are you saved trekking round the shop floor, but they will also know what stock is currently off the the floor as well. I managed to get a decent outfit for a wedding when I was severely flabby post-natally... When I used the John Lewis one they even had an idea as to what other stores were stocking so sent me to H of F for shoes as they didn't have my size (they even phoned H of F to check that they did!)

Hulababy · 15/01/2004 10:30

I don't intend buying this weekend so will bear that in mind, espeically if I don't see anything. I don't want to buy too early as I want to loos a few more pounds in the next two weeks first.

Beccarollover · 15/01/2004 10:30

Ive got a wedding to go to on March 6th I wonder what I can aim for

I need something lovely to wear

princesspeahead · 15/01/2004 10:33

hi all, emailed becca. I expect I will be doing the forfeit - be gentle with me! Had to go out to 3 dinner parties this week (about the sum total of my excursions for the previous 6 months!) so couldn't control what I ate there. Mind you, the haagen dazs was all my own idea....

Enjoy your shopping hulababy - if you can wait a week or two to go, there will be a lot more to choose from in the shops as the sales end and they get their new stock in...

Hulababy · 15/01/2004 10:34

What better incentive Becca - a new outfit.

Hulababy · 15/01/2004 10:51

Oh no - disaster looming. Man has just delievered to our house a case of wine, lots of lovely Italian whites and roses. And a big bottle of Italian olive oil. Got is all cheap as we had a £25 off voucher after getting an Egg card. Now have 20 bottles of wine to drink Not good for diet though
