Was feeling great this morning as our home scales had dropped 2 lbs since last Thursday. However Tuesday is definitely my telly night so possible blown it on the half-bottle of wine.... Had raw mushrooms as a snack with it though (can you tell that I used to be the nuts and crisps supremo?)

According to my reward chart am now due some new underwear - ordered some from NEXT which included a bizarre sports bra which required strange contortions to put on (straps criss-cross over the back...) - need to call the courier again as I dont think I'll ever manage to put it on. Time to try something else...

150percent · 13/01/2004 22:27

Clairabelle, well done. What a great start!

Beccarollover · 13/01/2004 22:42

150percent - what reward chart?

150percent · 13/01/2004 22:53

Am giving myself rewards at significant "milestones" - every 7lbs or so. So I am now just over a stone lighter than when I rejoined the gym, and have half a stone to go to get to pre pg1 weight. Next milestone is pre-pg1 weight. I get bored very easily with dieting so have to have something to work towards!

Demented · 13/01/2004 23:41

Wow Clairabelle and 150percent! Fab!!!

Today I've had:-

Porridge, small splash of milk and drizzle of honey
Apple and Banana
Two slices of wholemeal toast (no butter) and beans
A medium cappuccino with waffer things (no nutritional information on packet but they tasted low fat )
Baked potato with yummy topping from Fat Girl Slim book (so can only assume it was OK) and salad
Another apple
At least two litres of water

Think I did OK today, spurred on by this morning's loss.

Fingers crossed for Thursday everyone.

Hope you are feeling better Hulababy, I got your mail thanks and am just going to answer it now.

codswallop · 14/01/2004 11:43

Wow, well done Clairabelle!!!

wilbur · 14/01/2004 11:54

Well, I did at least lose something last week - weighed myself yesterday morning and I have lost one whole pound. I guess that's becasue I was good early in the week and then it was ds's birthday and there was cake. [hangs head in shame]

I now weigh 11 st 12lbs. Will try harder this week.

applepie · 14/01/2004 11:56

I've fallen off the wagon today - working at home and finding myself easily distracted. I bought 3 packets of Thai Bites on special offer at Safeways and have now eaten them all - not such a bargain after all

Hulababy · 14/01/2004 11:58

applepie - I am at home this week and it is much harder to be good isn't it? So far I have done OK but seem to feel hungry all the time, rather than when I am at work.

I heard she was seen staggering around lOndon waving a handbag(large, expensive) around saying "do you know Iam a mumnsetter?"

she made the pavement thunder as she strode, such was the weight of her considerable girth

I've managed to mess up with the dinner. Was supposed to be macaroni cheese (I know not exactly diet food, but I was only going to have a little), turns out DH used the last of the cheese and never thought to tell me (MEN!), then I thought OK spag carbonara (no cream in it, Nigella's version), no white wine or vermouth in the house, grrrr, anything I fancied DH didn't want, using excuses such as "I'm a growing lad, I need more than that to eat" (growing out the way), he then suggested he have a fish supper and eat it sitting in the car but I'm having none of that so it's a chicken kebab for dinner (or I will do when DH gets back), it's not too bad though, full of salad!

melsy · 14/01/2004 19:51

Hi girls

Coddy wot did u think to chicken casserole thingy. Can I have your chicken soup recipe ?? I make a trad Jewish one which unfortunately may be NOT be allowed now .

Demented ,I have the Fat Girl Slim book , is it good ??Havent tried anything in it yet.

May be we should post recipes of the day for inspiration????

Well done 150% & Clairbelle.

Demented · 14/01/2004 20:01

melsy the only thing I have tried is the baked potato topping, the mayo one with bacon and avocado, it was yummy. I liked the look the book because it looked like real food, plus lots of suggestions for pepping up bags of salad etc. Looking forward to trying more of the recipes.

The pictures of the author on the back of the book are great, you can really see a marked change.

melsy · 14/01/2004 20:07

Thats why I liked the sound of it when I read "real" food .Not horrible LOW FAT, which often is GROSSSS. Althuogh saying that some Count on us is quite good some revolting!!!

I will have another look at her photographs.

Dmum · 14/01/2004 20:07

Weigh-in at WW last night - lost 3.5 lbs - YIPPEE!!! Still 3.5 lbs to go to get back to my pre-Christmas weight though! That's what I get for eating and drinking everything in sight.

melsy · 14/01/2004 20:12

3.5lb is AMAZING Dmum . Well done , is that in one week??? How did u do it??? TELL ME TELL ME!!!

Dmum · 14/01/2004 20:25

Melsy, it's just weight that I had regained over Christmas, so it's bound to come off a bit faster. Also, I've got quite a bit to lose - I was shocked at my 1st weigh-in at WW - could have cried!! I think it does come off faster when you've got quite a bit to lose. I've already lost 21 lbs, but had put 7 lbs back on. I've got about another 2.5 stone to go, but I'm tackling it in small steps. My next goal is to get back to my pre-preg weight (about 1 stone).

JUST THINK, IF WE ALL STICK AT THIS, WE'LL BE SVELTE AND GLAMOUROUS BY THE SUMMER, SUNNING OURSELVES IN OUR TINY SUNDRESSES AND BEING CAREFUL NOT TO FALL DOWN THROUGH CRACKS IN THE PAVEMENT!!!
